    Hmmm..Well I love the song BYOB and many others and I just think they are
    a really kicka** rock band!They just are cool to me..They are weird and different from most other bands and I like that personally..

    hey, i also love "system of the down"...heck i use to listen to them when i was in school...and still loving them....the reason why i love them so much is that they attract me with their songs.....guess i have to say one of the main guys voices has this awesome voice!!!! forgot his name but i love the way he make things kinda evil.....*buhahahaha*....but yeah i love them and one of my other fav bands too! :cool: my other fav song in one of their albums have to be "chop suey"...yay!

    Thats what the band said at least. Yes, system of the down is prog, and if you didn't know that, you haven't seen them in concert. Listen to live play, and what the band actually has to say. Most people don't even know what prog is...Let alone who plays prog. From Frank Zappa to Rush to System of the down, they're all prog.

    Comparing Rush to System of a Down is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard anyone say, ever.

    And I'm not trying to be mean.

    But come, System of a Down...sounds nothing like any prog band I've ever listened to. Ever. If I was forced to put them into a genre, I would lean towards nu-metal, not prog.

    Look, Progressive music isn't something most people use to label things. According to most people, Prog died out after rush. Well, until now that is. Now we have system, Co&ca and Mars Volta. Prog has made a come back, and thinking that thats a bad thing is stupid. Alot of Great Bands were prog.

    absolutley no where did it say that anyone thought that prog was a 'bad thing'.

    The point is System of a Down is not prog.

    yup. after having it force fed on me, i hate prog ^^ though i've been known to make exceptions. i also hate country and rap, but i have songs from both i like alot.

    I just bought for the first time something by them -Mezmerize. Its not half bad :)

    I might buy one of their older work if I every got the chance (and the availablity of cash flow!! :p).
