But if that's the case then what plotline exactly will the fourth Inuyasha movie be dealing with? Possibly just the aftermath or some anti-climactic challenge of a Naraku supporter or other frighteningly powerful demon, but even so, the prospect of Inuyasha's completion (while expected to occur at some point) is too much to bear! I'm not so much of an idiot to think I *won't* be bombarded with endless spoilers, and I can be an irritatingly gullible person at times, so one way or another the ending will be ruined for me before I actually get the opportunity to see it myself.

Well, unless I become a recluse and hide out in my room developing an aversion to sunlight 'till the series airs in America, and then finally rejoining society only to realize that human remains are the new black and I'm shunned for eternity.

But back on topic, how do you guys think things will turn out? Will Inuyasha and Kagome wind up together, or will Inuyasha be joining Kikyo in the fiery depths of hell? Naraku's destruction is almost a given - but what about Kagura? Sesshomaru? How will Miroku and Sango fare through all this? There very possibly is already a thread for this, but then again there isn't much to discuss at this point so why not liven this thread up a bit, hm?

I AM BACK! with more info ^_^ and hints of InuYasha... returning!!!

Ok. it's final. InuYasha is going to end in September. Producer Suwa said this in a radio show on August 20 that "the first series" of the InuYasha anime would end on September 13.

It's curious as to why "the first season" was mentioned. I don't get it. It could mean that IY could just be taking a couple months to a year's break. It's just a wild guess, but it's possible. Hmm, it could depend upon fan demand. InuYasha's rating weren't the highest in Japan, but it did farely well. If maybe foreign demand (which is basically all the people outside of Japan) becomes higher, since InuYasha is just being shown in other countries, then InuYasha could return. We all just have to sit back and see i guess.

so as it ends, i guess that we'll just have to live with it and get on with our lives. i don't know if this was already asked or anything but how many books are there? because right now i only have from 1-36. seems like it's not gonna end till a long time....

You're right, the manga doesn't appear to be drawing to a conclusion anytime soon. Sunrise (or whatever company produces the anime) probably had to draw the anime to a close for some inexplicable reason - probably because the anime episodes were being pushed out frequently and, in turn, catching up quite rapidly to the manga series. I think Sunrise decided it'd be smarter to create their own ending instead of allowing the series to just die out randomly when the anime finally does overtake the manga.

Just checked a fansite, and apparently by episode 165 they've found a clue to beat Naraku, but they haven't even begun fighting him yet! Which leads me to believe that with only two episodes to go, well, suffice to say the ending might not be too ideal. *sigh*. I'm starting to worry; I've invested wayyyy too much time in this series to have the ending lack any sort of completion. *cries* If it does I'll find some way to create my own ending when I'm older, and I'll post it here just before I get hauled away for copyright. Yay!

I have heard these romors to. The way i heard it was that both the anime and manga would end this year, however since the anime is way behind the manga it will end with a 'open ending' i read a interview that said the anime would not make up its own ending so it will more or less hint a happy ending rather than fake one. it is also (as i understand) is up in the air whether it will be continued after that open ending (i suppose it will be a matter of supplie and demand). I can belive the manga will end this year because loss ends are being tied up and some characters we hold near and dear are being killed off.
None the less, a moment of silence for the end of a great story.
    *so sad :( *

i heard something that i hope is not true about the ending of inuyasha that really pissed me off.

    possible spoilers...

so my friend said that she just found out what happend to the end of inuyasha. hope she's wrong though.... anyway, she said that they beat naraku and they got all the parts of the shikon no tama. instead of making inuyasha a full demon or full human, they use it on kagome to make her a hanyo. (oh my god i wanna cry.) and that rin and sesshoumaru got married and had a kid. now that i don't believe.

Well you'll be elated to hear that that particular rumor doesn't have even a single element in common with the factual ending (oh, if only). ^_^
