Wow... That really stinks. I wanna keep my Internet the way it is, free for the stuff I do! I don't want to have to pay more for anything, we pay for enough.

I doubt it will work. Average folk will not be able to afford it, so they would have to lower the prices again.

By the way, having ADSL is expensive enough. I doubt people will pay more, they will just find a more affordable past-time.

A lot of sites will die. I don't think that should happen. Bad idea. We've done good with free internet, and we will continue to do good. Habing to pay for the amounts of e-mail we can send, or number of times we can visit a page is nonsense....

On the bright side, a lot of porn sites will disappear.

Everything else is bad though. I'll be sure to get rid of every company that does this one way or another.

But in order for them to charge us for what we do, they would have to track what we do. Which is an invasion of personal privacy, ya know.

    Umm....right!
Not precisely. My guess is that the person that wants the internet will have to sing a form where preety much what is says is that they can track your every move.

A lot of businesess will have to cose because of this, so it's unlikely. I still don't see the point.

And that's where the businesses will kill themselves.

And it's sign, not sing. Sing is like singing a song.

Which is why that won't happen. Regular internet costs are about 45-55 USD for good High Speed connection. The costs for something that's apparently "stronger than the NSA" is bound to be in the 80's.
Yes, typo. We all make them! What can I say? Besides, it's not like we can't just sing the contract instead of signing it! That'd be awsome!

I really don't see the point of this.. other than trying to soak up more money.. we will just then go outside and take up jogging.. or jog more instead.. I mean I already pay enough for the connection and how many gigs of stuff I can download and upload, as well people pay a lot already for websites and bandwidth..

Jogging? Going outside? What's that mean?;)

This actually reminds me of how it used to be in my country (Argentina).

For internet, you'd have to pay somewhere around 70 dollars, and you'd get around 60 hours of internet. Counted, and not High Speed, dial up. It counts your every second, and after the hours are up, you have to pay extra, a lot extra.

Things under control or something, it'd be just easier then if we all ust went to one of those stores that contain copmuters, and use it there, or will they be banned there too?

If someone makes a law that bans internet cafe's, I'll be sure to pull a few strings to make a law banning being an ***hole.

But don't internet cafe's already charge money per hour or something? I mean the people who own it have to make money. If the internet is changed to make us pay for everything we do, internet cafe's will probably either charge an extremely high amount of money per hour or charge 110% of the rate that the phone companies are charging to get some money for themselves.

Wasnt there something else posted about the internet. Oh yeah...more privacy invasion.

At this point, Internet will be gone before not too long.

And like Eternal-Blaze said, Internet Cafe's will become too expensive, and then they'll probably just be Cafe's....blergh!

It's all about control, really. These companies want to have control, so they can have power. It's greed, pure and simple.

And this is one more thing I would fight to the death to stop.

    *Gun Cocks*

Let's take 'em on. We should all do like a special BJP forces operation or something like that! That would own. We could break into the big wig companies, and destroy them and take the money....er...internet....

That reminds me, if this happens, something tells me that Bill Gates himself will step in and make his own Internet company. That ought to make him the richest guy in the world!

I take offense to that..and its not teh g33ks part that offends me j/k:p

I think it would be more on the major phone companies that would get the picketing or bombings or mass killings of higher ups and burning of papers and freeing of interns:p

ooopppsss...let me correct myself, teh army of people who are either really good with computers or/and have an addiction to R18+ adult videos are going to protest near the White House. :D

Yeah, probably that too. But I heard that Bush is trying to start another war, this time on internet p0rn0grahy. But yeah... the telephone companies will be hated alot.

Being a hacker in a past, I know that it is impossible to fee every activity of a user, as activity of internet user can be monitored only by pockets that’s going in and out of a terminal of a user.
The program, called sniffer that do a monitoring of a network activity from IP address of a network user.

    Its funny ;)

Bush's intellectual activity in IQ measurements is 75 ;)
He does not know the way the internet is structured, and the basics of his own country laws ;)
