It's funny 'cause it's true.

I actually knew a girl who would throw out those mixed signs. It got to the point where I decided to just avoid talking to her. Well that made her really mad, and then she stopped talking to me.

I consider it a victory on my part because now I don't have to deal with the sign language any more.

What can I say, Men love to K.I.S.S. -> Keep It Simple, Stupid.

And I think it's true, women are very different from eachother but most if not all guys seem to have the same personality to me.

It makes sense that men and women think differently. Our brains are wired differently, we have different hormones going through us, and we are treated differently from the moment we are born when the doctor says either "it's a girl" or "it's a boy".

I bet it is harder to understand men, though. Women are more expressive with feelings where stereotypical men tend to go into "the cave" when things are bothering them. And, I know that I, anyways, am not very receptive to 'the signs' sent my way either. The reason for these differences.. I have no clue what they are, but I know they aren't strictly biological. I have a male social work prof who is extremely receptive to the slightest movement a person makes and whether their verbal communication matches their non-verbal. It just takes training.

If a girl says something you don't understand either, clarify it rather than act upon what you think she means. This might get rather annoying to her at times, but at least you're making an attempt and care to understand her.

 

are you kidding? HAH yes men are sometimes hard to understand...but compared to the general female population, understanding men is like a walk in the park! gah girls and their mind games and secret and mixed signals and all tick me off! i dont understand why its so hard for girls to just tell a guy what she wants, is it really that difficult?

so many of my friends are like "tee hee i like him! but im gunna play with his brain! tee hee!" :anger2: man it annoys me just to SEE girls do that kind of stuff...i can only imagine what you guys must feel! you have my sympathies!

 

Sure men are sometimes hard to understand, but not to the level as women are. it seems like they just have less emotions than women.

my mom always tells me in just like my father.. i don't really know what she means by that.

 

come on! men are not sticks in the mud [okay some are] they know what is going on [most of the time]. i agree we women and our mind games can be a little harsh sometimes, but hey why don't men stop complaining about it behind our backs with their buddies, and come out as say:

"[loveofhislifesname] what are you trying to tell me ?! i am only asking cause i love you"

that would settle alot of this cause the woman in question will probably be in shock cause he said the "L-word". besides most of the code words goes out the window once a relationship get serious.

 

wow ok lemme break this down for you zap...

this is why they are called mind games...mind games make it so no one knows whats going on, it has nothing to do with whos a stick in the mud

for those guys who are smart enough to ask (why yes, yes they do exist!), many girls will just turn it around on them somehow and slap them for getting the "wrong impression" or "not paying attention!!" Ive known many guys who have come out and confronted a girl and have had it blow up in their faces. it works sometimes, but only sometimes. that is also part of this concept called mind games

dont you think if it were that simple to stop mind games, people would have done that by now?

"i love you!"
"great! that solves everything yaaay!"

i hate to tell ya but mind games will always be around with both guys and girls alike.

its getting there thats the problem for most people...and even then they dont always go away...i know a couple who have been dating for 3 years and they STILL play mind games with eachother lol

now dont get me wrong, guys play mind games aswell! infact ive had many many guys toy with my brain too! im just saying girls are not innocent when it comes to mind games...i find girls always blindly defend their own without even considering the possibility of another side...if there is any more confusion on my stand point...EVERYONE PLAYS MIND GAMES!

and to actually contribute to the original purpose of this thread, i thought it was funny!

 

You guys are all forgetting one important rule: Women have something that almost every man wants. That kind of leverage puts them at an instant advantage which is why they can get away with some of the things they do. They can screw with men's heads because they know what the men want and they know how to make them dance to get it.

It doesn't matter if you're going out or if you're married there's really only one thing guys are after and they know that if they piss thier woman off, or if they dont play the game thier way, they're not going to get it.

Another reason why women seem to have an edge over men is because they have been playing this game alot longer than them. A teenage boy is after one thing and one thing alone. The rest is just comes with the packaged deal. You women seem to learn right off the bat just how to play with us to get what you want. Boys don't learn they're getting screwed with until several years down the line and by then it's too late.

You can't beat a woman at her own game, which is why I elect not to play. It's safer that way.

=D HAHAHA and half the time I don't understand any one... and they don't understand me so we're even. Maybe that's why I'm so easily confused...

From my point of view... men have much simpler motives. Women on the other hand, well they can be most dastardly. Jackabees on the other hand well that... wow Deja vu... anywho, Jackabees are a whole other matter.

 

jackabee's are confusing and play hard to get.

 

You and me both. They're an enigma, like a puzzle box or a Rubik’s cube. Not only do you gotta have a lot of patience to figure them out, but it also takes forever.

The Jackabee isn't that hard to figure out once you crack the code. Three gallons of Chai, a jar of peanut butter, a package of cookies, chocolates, and a dash of finals and you have her figured out.

Well, you've got to add the "Secret Ingredient" as well, but I'm not telling.

okay i agree everyone plays mindgames. i never disagree about that.

i just don't understand why anyone has to take them. call me simple minded or naive if you want but i just don't get it. you shouldn't playmind games at all least of all with the people you care about.

if a guy or girl doesn't like having their mind played with they should be able to tell the mindplayer and not get wacked over the head. and if they can't then sod'em!

like they say to all teenagers when impending doom seems upon thier relationships:

"well if [he/she] doesn't understand then they aren't the one for you"

anyways if you are going out with someone its because you liked each other to begin with mindgames aside. so why do mindgames have to be such a big part of the realationship scene.

i don't do the whole mind game thing. i like being blunt with people it lets them know where they stand.

 

SECRET INGREDIENT?!? YOU MUST TELL!!!! I NEED TO KNOW... what secret ingredient... hmm... maybe it's more peanut butter... or christmas lights... but not kitties, cause they don't mix too well with peanut butter... ugh sticky fur. Maybe it's taking pictures while driving at 65 miles per hour? NAH that would be dangerous. Gah at this rate I'll never know... good for nothing Wert, so dastardly.

You know, more often than not I try not to understand them, men or women, but the darn context clues just give it all away sometimes... Gah Corrupted my mind have they. *scowls and mutters darkly*

Mind games, better than cat and mouse are they, but this nonsense about relationships I wouldn't know. Alas, Jackabee has never been in one (which, from what I'm told, is not such a bad thing).

 

If there's one thing I know, it's mind games. I hate them with a passion, but if you can turn them around on the girl, it makes fun a fun time. Though this is really hard to do sometimes because, as already stated, girls are more experienced at it than guys. But maybe one day, guys will learn the secrets to this language and will be able to overcome this little wall that's been up for many years. Men have some of these sayings to, heh, though somehow one guy can change what something means and everyone guy knows the update.
