The new Sonic anime has NOTHING on the old school and more serious Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon. Sally rocked, but it was the evility of Robotnik that makes a great difference. There was a good sense of seriousness in the other Sonic, so it had no real connection to the games other than "Super Sonic" and the Rings. It was like, looking at the dirty side of Sonic, and I thought it was great because of that.

I watched one episode of Sonic X, and I gotta say...wierd. Sonic is almost cynical, whereas I can only see him as cocky and brash (if you've watched the OTHER Sonic Saturday Morning cartoon, you know what I mean...). But, that may have been just one episode...

Julie-Su never appeared in the games, or in the original cartoon. She appeared when Knuckles got his own little series....
Lupe also wasn't in very many comics. Her wolf pack were on a search for their loved ones (Lupe mainly looking for her husband and children) when she she died she had found out her family had been robotizied. She ended up being robotizied by Uncle Chuck (well Uncle Chuck being controlled by Robotnik) but even when she was turned into a robot, thye were gonna robotizied the other members of the wolf pack, but she stopped them, and the building collapsed. The left over members of the wolf pack got out alive, but Lupe stayed behind so she could stya with her family, and she died because of it. T-T

The comic's better than the games and animes actually. It's muchmore serious like Izzy said. But it's been getting to soap operish lately, and too many people dieing (Nate got robotizied in Issue #100, the last issue I got. That's what made it unjoyable for me. ;_; )

I wanted to give you all the down low on sonic, you see he's pure evil and wants destroy all the other animals on the planet so Dr.EggMan worried about the poor animals is turning them into monsters to give them a fighting chance!

At least that's the way I see it.

::blinks at Space Cowboy:: Umm...ooooookaaaaay.... I have no clue what Sonic you've been reading/watching.

::raises finger:: Lupe didn't actually die, if I recall correctly. You see her deroboticized later in the comics, I believe (must dig out that issue and check that panel again). They erected a tombstone in her memory because she stayed behind.

The comic in question is published by Archie Comics, and is in English (American company). You can find out more at www.archiecomics.com .

I'm actually rather divided between Sonic X and oldschool SatAM (Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, themed similarly to the Fleetway comics, was nigh-terrible in my opinion, and Sonic Underground was mediocre; I have yet to see the anime OVA). I like the more game-like atmosphere of Sonic X, but I also like the serious atmosphere of SatAM and the Archie Comics.

WAHAHA!!! That was like one of the super specials lol! In another dimension, Sonic and the freedom fighters were the bad guys and Robotnik was a nice *slim* guy trying to keep the world a cleaner place by having his robots clean up litter. :p lol

Well, the last issue i got was issue 100 which MUST'VE been at least a year ago by now. So i have no idea what's been going on lately. if Lupe did come back then I wouldn't have known. ><
Nope, the art was starting to get crummy and the storylines soap operish so i stopped buying them.

Lately I discovered "Sonic X", I never thought that Sonic has that much of a collection :p And this X one is really well drew, currently I am getting it from Wolf Pack Productions, but they stopped subbing it for a while now for some reason, but they are relasing episode 8 soon, so I am sure that I am way behind in this :p

But if you were wondering if it was worth it or not, in my openion, hell yeah!! :p
