    Do you like in the anime you watch, old story? In the future? In our time?

    Do you like in the anime you watch, guys fighting and maybe protecting women (Damsle in distress) ? Or gals fighting? If gals, would you rather they are wearing mobile suites (like BGC) or tight cloths?

    Nice topic this, I speak obviously a n00b with not much experience under his belt ,but theyres something about anime that ...I dunno theyres something extremely alluring about all anime , Its not the fact that its just cartoons for adults , I mean thats been done before unsucsessfully, Its just something about it subverts the usual sceptiscism so you can actually watch it without feeling Stupid...or something like that

    I believe that the best parts of anime is the story lines and witty japanese humor, it makes plenty of sense if u look at it.

    There are many cool things in anime, just seeing the artists dream girls/guys brought to life in the anime is one of them I guess...

    This deal with using Mecha as military units is nothing new. Battletech (may they reign miniature combat for ever) has been doing it for around thirty years. For those of you who don't know, Battletech is a game played with those little metal miniatures you see in game shops everywhere. There's also a pen-and-paper RPG called "Mechwarrior" based on the game, and a series of computer games by the same name.

    My preference is a well-planned series. What the heck does that mean?

    Well, what I mean is one where there's one long continuous plot (with maybe some subplot filler leading up to, or mixed within to develop characters)...That's mainly what draws me to watch anime other than Americanized television (where about every show seems pointless on the grand scale...every episode seems like it's filler!)...Anime is almost always like that...

    I also like to understand what's going on for the most part (if I'm lost, or if I have to research things in order to get the gist of things, it usually doesn't gain my favor)...but, I also like to have a few things unexplained and kept in the dark (i.e. Kenshin's past as the Hitokiri Battousai in RK...)

    Well, that's what I think....I think.
