Anime What (unlicensed) series are you currently watching?

I hope you enjoy Mai HiME, Im really enjoying that at the moment. its got so many good things in it, great character design, and production quality is the best. I th ink the only thing is the music is forgettable... eeto... oh well, I can't remember it ^_-

It's so awesome.
I even have the first ost and can't wait 'till I get the second ost.
I also have Mai's and Natsuki's character songs.
I still need to get Mikoto and the other Himes' character songs.

I was watching Gundam Seed Destiny,
and Ah My Goddess but there are now licensed.

unlicensed manga...I'm really hook on Death Note!
I'm wondering if there is going to an anime version, ova/oav,
or cd drama soon. Does anyone know?

 

Mai HiMe, Loveless, Yakitate! JaPan, Mahou Sensei Negima, Tsubasa Chronicle, Bleach, Sukisyo, and my favorite at the moment... Rozen Maiden.

 

Hmmm Mai Hime ended..... which means I'm not currently watching any unlicensed anime's at the moment, unless I pick up Negima again. Maybe I should try Tsubasa Resevoir or Roze Maiden.....

 

Started watching Ichigo 100%. I don't think its going to be anything special to be honest, but then again its also only 2 episodes in.
I also watched the first 2 episodes of Loveless, and i'm already getting really tired of it, don't think i'm going to be watching more of it to be honest.

 

Yes, I'm coming up to finishing Mai HiME, what a great series. I think I will concentrate on Bleach now, and maybe go back to watch the rest of Air, as it was pretty short.

I watched the 1st ep of Speed Grapher and this is a very exiting project. Quite a dark and adult story, perhaps like Ghost in the Shell, I think an R15 at least. Widesceen format, absolutly the best animation and design and the openeing theme tune is Girls on Film by Duran Duran!

Yakitate! Ja-Pan is another good one mentioned, even if it's about baking bread for Japan, but very entertaining, tanoshii!

I'm really not crazy about those series with lots of girls in and about one boy (sometimes call harem anime), like Negima, Ichigo (Strawberry) 100% souns something like that and strawberry pattern panties, ugh, i wish they would get over girls panties in Japan. Of course, Mai HiME is mostly girls, but they are strong hero characters, not all going after a boy...

 

I agree, but I guess I'm a hypocrit because some of my favorite series are "harem anime." It just gets SO cliche after a while though.
Wouldnt it be great if there was a series with a million cute boys, and only one girl? Something like that would be refreshing!

 

WHy not! I wonder if there is something like that? The closest thing I can think of is Green Green where just a bus full of girls go to a boys school as an "experiment". The boys are so not cute though, in fact they are jack asses, as far I could be bothered to watch. Really annoying anime with stupid music and some fan service every 5 minutes.

The only good part was when the girls are going there on the bus and fantasizing about how the boys school will be full of bishies, and they show this little fantasy scene with 2 typical boyslove bishounen (you know the kind) being all romantic with each other, which apparently girls love. Of course reality was totally opposite! That was funy, the rest is just annoying.


Hmm, I also realise that Air which I mentioned is tons of girls and one boy as well, but at least its a beautifully made anime, mysterious with interesting back story.

 

I'm watching Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. *heee~~* I'll occasionally watch Naruto when I go visit people who watch it before we watch Lost (tv series omg), and... I don't know if it's licensed yet, but I'm watching Juuni Kokki. <3 Both are wonderful~

 

I've seen ep 1 of Tsubasa Chronicle, but what is the "Reservoir" part? Is that some different series (eg like the million kinds of Gundam). Anyway, TS obvioiusly top quality anime, but bit to soft focus and pastely kind of feel for me to really like it. The backgrounds are very beautiful and scifi/fantasy though, and I really like those, and some good character design. The story seems interesting too, just wish the whole thing was sharper. A bit of comedy would help as well, too many people going around like their puppy just died, especially with those women wailing in the background music all the time.

Still i will prob watch a few more eps, see how it goes ^_^

 

I'm currently watching AIR, Bleach, and Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch PURE. I was watching the Ah! Megami-sama TV series, but I stopped after it got licensed by Media Blasters.

 

It's Speed Grapher for me at the moment, currently on ep 3. This new series is 『amazing』and i'm sure therell be a lot of buzz about it once it gets around more. If you like something like Ghost in the Shell, or possibly Akira, you will love this. Like those it can be ultra violent, and has sexual themes. Its R18 definitly. Art quality is the best, the themes are brilliant (opening is Duran Duran, Girls On Film, closing is like Japanese kate Bush or something... weird but beautiful). this is a ★☆★☆★ production ^_^

 

That speed grapher sounds interesting. Guess I'll look into it.

Other than that, right now I have started watching Air. Tsubasa Chronicle and Emma now. Thinking of maybe trying Kanon too ^_^

 

I just finished downloading Air, but I have NO idea when I'll have the time to watch it. Let's see, unlicensed anime on my watch list:

It's the same series. It's just that the manga is called Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, and I thought the series was the same, since we just call it Tsubasa. ^^;; But yeah, it's the CLAMP series.

 

Nadia: Secret of Blue Water. I just started watching the first volume from the library. I LOVE IT. It's such a good show, but it's not well known...
