Oh, watching Air is easy. Just look ahead. :p

No but seriously, it's available at Animesuki. And it seriously does seem like it'll rank in the same neighborhood as SMJ.

As far as I know, it's not licensed outside of Japan. Feel free to prove me wrong, though.

Just started watching Loveless. Amazing production levels (widescreen format), gorgeous music and top art - notice those background shots between a lot of the scenes, works of art ^_^

OK this is full on Boyslove stuff, though, and its not going to be a lot of peoples taste (i notice it turned up in the binned "what anime should be destroyed" thread, was that why?). In Japan this is aimed and girls and women (called 女性向け "joseimuke", women-oriented, there are whole stores devoted to this in Tokyo) and they seem to like romantic stuff between guys, and even guys and boys 0_o which is what you get here. Big cultural devide there. Its actualy really hard to know what to think about this, but the thing is, it IS just a fantasy world.

Quirky thing: in the Loveless world, humans have cat ears and tails until they lose their virginity.

I will never understand Japanese culture ^^

And the story? Basicly I have NO idea what is going on ^_~ but this boy Ritsuka's older brother, Seimei, has been murdered and one day this strange guy, Soubi turns up who was bonded to Seimei in some kind of magical fighting duo. Of course, there is a sinister force, called Seven Moons, lurking in the background ... I will say no more for risk of spoilers...

No, it got binned because it was a needless thread filled with unnecessary hate and disrespect.

That sounds interesting. I may have to look into it when I get back. I'm curious now. Even if it's shoujo anime. Actually that's one of my favorite kinds. ^_^

And yes, I'm already in Toronto.

I understand why the thread was binned. Yep, it was a rubbish thread, nobody gave justification that an anime should be "destroyed" only that they didn't like some shows. What I meant was, did that person want Loveless destroyed because of its BL content? But no matter.

(edited because I was confusing shoujo with something else. Silly me ^_^)

No I thought you meant shoujo-ai, which obviously you wouldnt mean that. Genres are always debatable, but I'd make a difference between shojou and josei-muke, because shoujo is realy just the opposite of shounen, anime that is market at boys. It's manga/anime that is aimed at girls, quite young girls (which is what "shou" means - few, as in years) Sailor Moon, Fruits Basket, Cardcaptor Sakura are shoujo.

josei-muke is more mature and its much more to do with romantic stuff between guys, Gravitation and Fake are good examples. The fans of this are older than shoujo fans, and like to feel its a differnt genre, although, you could say it's a part of shoujo.

Anyway, this is just my take on it, but I really got to learn about this going around manga shops in Tokyo.

Sheesh, steady on, I am talking about a new unlicensed anime I am watching. Is that wildly off-topic? This kind of comment is so inhibitive.
