    Frankly, anime is still too high in price. What happens later when you get tired of certain anime, say, 2 or 3 years later? It's short-lived.

    It's not like a car, which you can sell later. The problem with anime is that it's collectible, so you have a hard time finding someone to sell it to when you've gotten tired of it.

    It's not really the content that you pay for, but the nice wrapping and the *original* comments and maybe signatures from the authors... but is really having a collectible WORTH something?

    I really don't think that Anime (as original product) is that much worthy.... not that the creators don't deserve their pay - they do, but frankly I'd give up all my anime for a real-world comodity as a credit card.

    Perhaps the question should be rephrased.

    What would you give of what you currently have (money excluded), in exchage for an anime you like?

    Your health?
    Valuable time spent with your friends?
    With your parents?
    Your car?
    A job?

    How worthy is Anime for you?

    When I read this poll, I immediately thought of William Shatner in that Saturday Night Live sketch where he goes to a Startrek convention - all full of fans, but with no real lives. Is that what we really want in our life? Anime should be the means to (insert goal here), not the goal itself.

    i wouldnt cause most shows are boring, i like viva la bam though or wildboys

    i wouldnt give anime up! NEVER NEVER NEVER! but if i did, it would be for magical powers. id be livin my own anime!! :D

    As much as I enjoy watching anime, I don't think I'd sacfice anything too precious in my life. I mean, anime is great, but I could live without it. And as long as there is manga, I'd be just fine.

    I'm guessing they mean all media that is anime-related. So, Manga, Anime, Soundtracks, Video Games, and so on, would all be included. Maybe not though, ask the thread creator.

    yea I did mean all of it, but people went with just anime. thats ok though, they still respond :) and thanks to all who did respond! :catgirl:
