Anime What you dislike about anime

I hate it when anime characters get angry so they wave their arms and they have X's in their eyes

Now that being said, what do you hate when you watch anime?

 

The only thing I don't like is how pricey some of the stuff can be. Paying 30 bucks for 3-4 episodes is not something I like doing. It's gotten better in recent times, but some stuff is damn pricey.

 

I really hate the whole price thing.I get virtually NO money,and I just can't keep up with these exspensive DVDs.Best Buy is a good place to go,though.They sell them for about half as much as other stores.That,plus I don't like it when an anime is translated into english,and they change things.Like replacing Japanese customs with American ones,fearing that audiences will feel alienated and stop watching.It just makes you feel like you're being cheated.

And **** anime, that are so ****, they shouldnt even be called anime.
And hentai (kinda). It give anime a bad name.
And anime which is boring. I saw one about war. It was all talking. ****.
And I also hate it when voice actors cant act for ****.
And when it is in jap, and there are subtitles.
I hate subs.
Yeah….

 

i like everything bout anime, cept like wut other people said, the prices of dvd suck, but i still buy them when i have the money

 

The worse thing about anime is that it inspires real-life movies or series to adopt a similar style in their production. While the special effects and dramatic body language in anime is riveting, it looks like an unmitigated disaster in the many Japanese, Chinese, Hong Kong or Taiwan films that I've watched recently.

 

Occasional cheesy-ness in dubs is what drives me up the wall....

It's reputauion, If I even say 'anime' anywhere exept around friends, everyone screams POKEMON at me. It's really sad, and I draw ALOT and in school, them ppl, say, why do you draw pokemon? And It's not! It really drives my to frustration.

 

Yeah,I know about the whole reputation thing.I'm into serious,more adult oriented anime.So when I draw in school,
people are all,"Hey,man.Why do you draw those Pokemon things."It gets really annoying.

 

Lack of availabilty in this country. I already have almost everything that's for sale. Helpful it's not. Far too expensive too.
Bad dubs and editing annoy the feck out of me also.
Too much saabisu is also a problem. And those annothing CN people who think anime is meant to be dubbed. Fskin bey blade.

 

i definately agree with jackal and crow, reputation, is bad... i let me friend borrow akira and princess mononoke and he brought them back during school and this kid looked at akira and asked if it was like dbz or pokemon, i hate ****ers like that, if they dont kno wut anime is then they shouldnt open their mouths

 

Yes, anime has gotten commercialized in the U.S.... but I don't find it that great, really...

I know some people who are supposed "anime-freaks" and go around flaunting their Tokyopop mangas and everything (oh, look! It's right to left, it MUST be the original Japanese!)... yeah, that's nice, they like anime, but ****, they act like they're "oh-so-cool" about it or something... at least, that's the people I know... -.-;; This girl made a big deal that some guy knew about Cowboy Bebop. It's on ****ing TV. Everybody knows about it. (even though it's dubbed... )

And yes, the people that label anime as "that Pokemon/DBZ ****" are annoying as hell, too...

**** u pokemon. give us TRUE-anime lovers a bad name.
if i draw anime, i usually try to draw somthing like Burn Up W. thenm they can go "UGhhh. POKE.... wait a second... there aint no pink girl in tights in pokemon..."
or i past print out wallpapers or, like, evangelion, and paste it all over my books, folders, and stuff like that. and they can go "ughgg... cartoons" all they like, but its wat i like and go **** yourself if u think u have the right to tell me wat to like, and wat not to like.

 

back to the original point - i believe the price issue has been mentioned already. in the UK its a lot worse to boot. maybe it costs me 15 quid (yes thats a funny term we brits use for "pounds") for 1 DVD, which is about 25 bucks. gyah thats a lotta money for a spendthrift munchkin like me

i dont buy many animes as such anymore, i find the mangas a lot more enjoyable. reading them is always better.

... now what was this discussion on Pokemon...

You think thats bad,in the US,we may have to pay as much as $35
on some of these DVDs.
