Square Enix whats your favorite final fantasy game and why?

mines FF6 because of the amazing graphics and the great storyline and kewl characters ^^ Sabin Rene Figaro! ^^ blitz technique Suplex! ^^ and of course Setzer Gambanani! ^^ the man with the travelling gambling hall ^^ slot three Chocobos Chocobo rush! ^^ obcessive ^^

I know it's not the best game but I just fell in love with all the charectors so quick. 'Cept for Seymour!

My second favorite and the first one I played was 7! I loved that game sooooooooo much! Areis, Rikku, and Yuna Are my Faves 4Eva! At least until the next one... lol

 

FF7 is the best one. No doubt.
Final Fantasy 6 was a bit over the line because of all the tools, blitz and stuff. You basically kept using them all the time with no change.

FF9...well, let's say the story wasn't the best. It was little pretty stupid along the story.

FF10...the story isn't that great, either. It's pretty pointless and nothing happens.

 

Final Fantasy VII for me because it was the very first Final Fantasy I ever played. I laughed, I cried, and I couldn't stop playing it. No game has ever touched me and had an impact on me as Final Fantasy VII, basically FFVII is the reason I got into the whole series.

 

final fantasy 7 is my favorite because it was the first final fantasy i've ever played and after all these years i still have lots of fun playing it! not to mention the fmvs are really cool and the characters are bad ***.

 

Does Tactics count? That is the best. With probably the best battle system ever made, how could it not be liked? The story line was great, and the graphics for characters were just right for the game fields. I also liked VIII.

 

FF7 was the best one by far.. Tactics is 2nd. FF8 was really crappy to me... 9 was ok.. 10 was good... 6 was not too good... 4 was great.... 5 was same as 6 just ok.... 1 and 2 and 3 i have never played...

Em.... Seven. Because it's obviously the best one :S

The way I see it:

VII is a fine white wine.

VI is a flavour filled red wine.

VIII is some kind of tropicana drink with an umbrella in it.

IX is.... haven't played it enough.

Four is a pint glass of horrible tasting vodka.

And that's all I can come up with.

I like FF5, i love job classes, the character were really good, and the story line was awsome, there was so much stuff to do with mastering the jobs and finding all of the items summons adn magic spells, i really love this game. its the number one in MY book. so many great characters, Bartz, Renia, Faris, Galuf and krile. they are so awsome. i also like the point that they didn't sack every thing for grapics. ah the thrill of a game with great plot.

 

What's wrong with saying "kewl" and nothing else is that it's spam. If you had read the rules threads, you would no this. I deleted the offending post.
Now back onto the point of the thread.
My favourite is FFVII, it was the first released in this land, and the first I played. I thought it was the best game ever from the off, and still do. FFVI comes in at second.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH VIII?
every 1 keeps on talkin bout it like it's such a wrong thig...and that squaresoft did a HUGE mistake when it did FF8..
but it didn't, i like the whole FF's just coz i played 8...

that was bout 8, now 7 is the best FF no matter what any1 says...it's the best!
ff9 is...well...:dizzy2: (the story sucks and so are the characters)
ff10 is great...just take tudis (or however they write his name) out of the game and it'll be super great ^^

 

My favorites are...

FF 4- it was a great game. Great story line, beautiful music and graphics, and has my favorite FF heroine Rydia.

FF 7- had the best FF story line. It was a very powerful story.

FF 10- wonderful graphics, great story, and great characters.

 

i liked 8 a lot cause of the characters. actually i found out that most people didnt like 8 cause it was too technologically based but i loved it. Quistis Kicksass

 

I voted for 7 but, I was really tied between 7 & 8.
Many people didnt like 8 but, that one was like, one the greatest.
Reasons:

VII:
1)Great characters (scenes were soo awsome even if regular gameplay version of them wasnt best)
2)Awsome Story-line
3) Best magic system ever (materia) I loved it!
4) Great twist in the story later on

VIII:
1)The most realistic characters I had ever seen (before i played X)
2)Great summon system (Guardian Force) (GF)
3) un disputably the best the best story-line of any FF
4)Draw system was tight

 

Bleh. Figures my favorite isn't up there. But I'd have to go for Tactics. There, really, wasn't a character in that game that I didn't like, in a manner of speaking. I mean, sure, some I didn't like, so to speak (like Gafgarion)... but that doesn't mean they don't fit. Every single character had their own contribution to the game and it was probably one of my most favorite story lines I've seen in a game since Tales of Phantasia and Tactics Ogre.
