    Who can remeber Ninja Turtles?

I use to love that show, I had all the toys and even the van, I remeber when I was in the 3rd grade and we had some career guy come to school and tell us about how privledge we would be to end up as Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, Firemen, and police.
When he started asking us what do we want to be when we grow up. I raised my Hand and said "Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle.
All the kids were cheering me on and the class went into a ruckuss cuase all the little kids starting twirling around and stuff. But I guess that I'll never get to be a teenage mutant ninja turtle. I wan't to be a Computer Engineer now. ::wispers:: what do you think about a Ninja Computer Engineer? Well it was worth a shot but I guess a person who write computer programs, while fighting crime at night is a little well. Hard to sell.
I would like to hear if any one has any old memories of the Ninja turtles that they would be willing to shard.

I still have a couple action figures... one of my favorites was Muckman for some reason.. and I remember one Christmas I got not one, but TWO of the Mouser drones.

I'd set em up for that they would walk at the same time. I ended up dreaming about owning an entire army of mousers.

That probably played a role in my love of mecha and strategy games.

Also, I remember the Ninja Turtles cereal. One time they marketed it with this plastic bowl. I think I got Donatello. :)

And I remember reading the comics, including that god forsaken Turtles - Archie crossover. In fact, that comic is what got me into Archie. And watching the cartoons, and the movies...

And guess what? I even managed to find Palladium Games NINJA TURTLES RPG!!! Of course, its darker, like the comics, instead of light hearted and fun like the show. Very hard to track down these days. :)

At the time, I thought it was incredibly cool.

Of course, i was only, like, 7 or 8.

Looking back Im pretty sure it was godawful. If I find it, I'll read n review. Maybe even scan.

I remember that show. I was kindda young when that was out so I don't remember very much, but some.

They made a new series that's on Sundays now.. I'm gone when it's on, so I haven't seen it.

I can remember them a whole lot....I always hated them!!!! (J/J) But I really didn't like them. I didn't see the point in it. Maybe it was because it was mostly a little boy show and I was watching my Bugs Bunny in morning.

To be honest maybe the Ninja Turtles were one of the reason for my interest into japanese anime so much. I wanted to be a ninja for a very long time, but when I found out that if you can't do the splits then you can't be a Ninja. Well I have been dwarfed ever since then.

    Re: like omg!

Don't forget Masters of the Universe. About half my toys were He-Man related. But the turtles rocked.

I've recently taken to watching the show again (Not the new Fox one, but the 80s original ^^), and it's far more flawed than I remember as a kid, but still very entertaining and nostalgic.

    Edit (couldn't resist :p):

    Leonardo Leads,
    Donatello does machines;
    Raphael is cool but rude.
    Michaelangelo is a party dude!

i used to be the biggest fan i knew, like i had all the cartoons theyhad out, and toys, remember the blimp? i had one of those until it popped. i still have all three movies. i dont really have manytoys of theirs nemore, since i was alot younger. i think ninja turtles were cult icons for little kids, and i applaud who came up with them.

!!! i used to LOVE this show my brother and i would always play with all our little turtle toys and we too had the infamous van! it was like our obsession as kids! wed watch all the shows together and whenever we had pizza of course we brought our toys down and they had pizza with us...sigh the memories of childhood! we still have the first movie as well (i need to watch that sometime...) and i also got their autographs at Disneyworld!! my fav was definitely Michaelangelo. (i got mad at my brother many a time when he wouldnt let me play with his michaelangelo figure :( ) Raphael was my second fav and the rat (his name totally escaped me!!) freaked me out...he was cool but still creepy anyway what a joyous thread i love reminiscing in the past ^.^ Cowabunga dudes!!

Bunny, lol that rat that you are refering to is
Splinter lol there teacher. But I know what you mean he wasn't the most popular charater on the show. Also I dont think that any one ever wanted to be picked as splinter on recess. Ahh we use to swing around on the monkey bar's and when ever we seen a man hole, we would try to open it and get go meet the turtles.
One time I did find an open man hole, lets just say when my father found out where I have been I got a good lecture on what could of happen. But after seeing the movie Chud, I don't think that I will be entering any sewers for a while.
