Anime Who else likes Kikaider?

I just visited adultswim.com, which has an episode guide for 13 episodes. However, the schedule names the episode for monday on until July 10nth (when they start showing Big O reruns) are not listed in the episode guide, except when they start reruning a few of them. They list "Jiro meets Ichiro", "Beautiful Enemy," "Gil rises again," and "Fate of Pinnochio" yet they are not in the guide.
So there will be more episodes. Maybe they are new?

Jiro Meets Iciro (6/30) - Jiro, during a fight with some aquatic based robotus, gets a map...sight...thing and follows it to a temple, where he awakens his brother Ichiro (01) and he procedes to kick *** until a quintuple of robots break up the fun by trying to break up Ichiro.

I see! But the show dosn't seem that much differant. When were these new ones made? Just now?

I'm confused by last night's episode though. So Ichiro was sitting around inside a statue? Then how'd that guy know about him? And who was that girl and young boy? Did I miss something?

And no one seems to know if this show is or isn't based on a differant show/movie like I heard.

--Yesterday's episode--
A mystierious android named Bijen assaults Ichiro. Then Jiro. Then Gil shows up in ROBOTU form, along with his three cronies, who were transplanted into metal bodies after Jiro destroyed Gil's lab. Anyway, they all fight, and then they like. Fuse together. And they make this super robot, Jiro destroys a brain, Ichiro uses his Sunrise Beam, and Gil walks away.

Alrght, the girl is Reakoh or some such romanization, the kid is Akito. Akito is Gil's son, I'm not sure who Reahoh is. Akito is scared shitless and wont talk or move on his own. Ichiro was indeed inside the statue, he awakens when Jiro is in peril. The old guy knows bout him because Dr. Whoever-created-Jiro had him guarding Ichiro. If you missed someting, I think i did too, but it may just be like. A season switch. Or something.

And the only Big O I want to see are the Big O's in BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

 

Alright, the series ended, and the Bog O came back, much to my chagrin.

I did some digging around, and Kikaider is actually a remake, an anime-ization, if you will, of a version from 1972, which is actually a live action version of a popular manga. -whew-

Its the basis of Power Rangers, except with a plot.
