Well, this is pretty far outside the bounds of m2a, but seeing as to how the subject seems to come up quite frequently in misc, how about a Politics forum? That way people can have a place to discuss (read that as, '***** about') political issues, and debate them... Thus leaving misc for topics that are truely miscellaneous, and not common themes.

I can understand if people think this is way outside of what m2a needs, but figured I'd toss the suggestion out nonetheless.

Lets let them wipe away all unnecessary forums first, then discuss any additions.

Personally I'm of the opinion that there are too many forums to begin with.

 

something i noticed is that, on other forum sites, the MODS have this specific line for posts not to cross and if they do cross it, then they trash it. it dosnt matter about theyr own opinions, if it is badd, then they trash it if, not (or not very) bad, then its ok.
but in this site, the post get trashed if the MODS find it insulting or they dont like it. like, say one post is inapropriate, and to most people it is insulting, but to the MOD, it isnt, then they wont trash it, but if its just, like a little joke that insults the MOD just a LITTLE bit, they trash it cause they are bloody sooks.

note: most the mods are good, just some, and sometimes they piss me off.
note 2: and if this post gets trashed, thats a perfect example.

 

I shared that notion, and have already shared it elsewhere. It's been said that that stuff is fine in misc, but I'd like to encourage intelligent conversation as much as possible.
I would demand a DrunkLeprachaun board, but there's really no need. I already pwnz all j00r 4ss3s.

i personally think an "Amuturs Anime" forum would be good.
like the noobies forum, but for those new to anime, and only joined this site cause they watched a few episods to Pokemon (and the likes).
u know wat i mean?
a thread where they can be introduced into the real world of anime.

This is a very quiet forum. It definitely needs more activities. Most of the time I come on to see noone else online! Not very riveting, is it?

As I said in the post above - and I'm assumming it's going to be the one directly above this post because the frequency of posting is extraordinarily low - there are not enough members. By creating another section for politics, the already-unpopulated misc forum might diminish to a rate of "1 user online per 10 hrs". Or is that already the case?

Keep in mind that this is still a developing forum, and it's a lot more active now than the old days when there was only like 30 of us

But a politics forum would be very interesting, but of course ground rules would have to be layed down as to not cause flame wars in it (like respect other people's opinions, etc.) But mangatoanime, as it is in development still has tonnes of room for improvement and as a community we'll all keep it great

Well, the mods I nominated for the board are hard hitters, they would not let flame wars commence. Also, temp bans would be issued freely. I would love it, love it if we had that board.

 

it will be hard not to argue.
cause, people belive in different things,
so there will be alot of arguments and stuff.
though personally i think that forum would die out.

There are 41 forums. Not to mention that not everybody is checking out the forums ^_^

While I insist that we respect one another, an entirely-no-flame board could be boring. Some soft flaming, or rather, serious debating could make this board even more interesting. Of course, one must know where to draw the line.
