    Hmmm, as expected... Ah well I probably won't be watching it. I'm not THAT much of a fan.
    I guess it'll be a nice movie for the fans, though it'll probably have another stale storyline (new monsters, old favorites and powerful ones return but turn out not to be as strong as the new "evil"...)
    But yeah, give the fans something to keep marketing going!

    I think it would be interesting to see it. Though it isn't like the first movie which I saw in subtitles.

    *ROTFLMAO* "Can this be the final duel?" XD Yeah, right. Ooh, what a line... that's both funny for it's irony and rather disturbing at the same time.

    I wonder if it's been heavily edited?

    EDIT: Ah, just saw the 4Kids logo. ~_~; That answers my question... *makes a mental note to wait for a subbed release if she bothers with it at all*

    Oh I heard Yu-gi-oh! the movie was coming to theaters. I haven't paid much attention to it. But I know that it will be dubbed. *sighs* I prefer if it was subtitled but it'd be strange to go see a movie in theaters that was speaking japanese in the USA. :sweat:

    I apologize in advance to all Yu-gi-oh fans, but that ad (revealed to me in a movie theater) would've made me drop to the floor laughing if it hadn't been for the fact that the floor was covered in stale popcorn and other misc. junk. You can obviously tell that this is going to be yet another version of the three or four "Pokemon Movies" brought out in the previous few years, they're even using the same tactics to persuade you to view the movie. I just couldn't get over the fact that they're literally *bribing* you to come see the movie, with "limited addition" YGO cards, no less. I *might* actually go see it, however, does anyone know whether or not this movie originated from Japan? (or is it some crappy plot the Americans came up with, in which case I'll stay home and watch something more enduring, such as the entire DVD collection of Sesame Street)

    they always say that Dilandau, they say it to captivate and audience, but it never is the "final duel" now is it? The final duel was in the final book (yes they finished in Japan). But the story plot sound really cheesy(sort of). And why haven't we heard about this from Japan? I mean there was the first season of Yuugiou movie, but we haven't heard of the second season Yuugiou movie. That's just wrong. :sad:

    In my eyes, Yuugiou in WB and in theaters is turning into another pokemon. When it was in Japan i found it a bit more stimulating, but on WB it's just plain bogus

    Yeah, it makes me wonder. :/ I mean, I don't delve too deeply into the YGO fandom, so I could easily have just not heard about it - I didn't hear about the most recent 2 Pokémon movies until they were due for release over here, after all. XD But still.

    Turning into? Oh, believe me, it's turned. Loooong ago. Hell, don't you think that when the WB picked it up, they were thinking, "Hey, this could be the neck Pokémon"? ;P Of course they were.

    But yeah... I was sort of amused/disturbed by the free cards, too. Now, I think it's nice that there are starting to be freebies with American releases of anime in theatres - it happens in Japan too, after all (I'm always seeing special promos from the Japanese releases of the Inuyasha movies on specialty sites and eBay) - but still. It DOES feel like bribery, now that I think of it. XD

    Have you noticed that Pokemon stoped at 4 because of lack or popularity?
    It sucks on how we have to endure not having inuyasha in the movie theaters, but getting to watch Yugiou: pokemons revenge. I guess it's because of the little kids, i mean in Japan when the Inuyasha movie was playing guess what was there? Little kids. So I mean, if Inuyasha played there would be adults and teens. It's just like that, everything captivates a different age group

    i am just glad that the movie can't be completely dubbed cause its rated
    PG 13.
    that might make it so its less dubbed.
    maybe.
    who knows.
    i wanna see it though cause i just wanna know if it is gonna turn out like the pokemon movies.

    Actually Pokemon has way more then four movies out. Maybe in theatres they stopped at four. Pokemon the first movie: Mewtwo strikes back, Pokemon 2000, Pokemon the movie 3, Pokemon 4Ever, Pokemon- Heros: The Movie and the newest one that is out. I don't know the name of that one right now.

    On the subject of the YGO movie. By what I read on the site it isn't the first movie which was released in Japan. The newest Shonen Jump Manga has the information on the movie. I plan on reading it tonight. I'll let you know from there.

    Okay i've known about this movie for a long time, since my spring break about 2 or so months ago. (Fun times, fun times...). It was another message board and this guy bstarted a thread abiout a rumour he heard about a Yuugiou movie (other than the one for the first series) that came out in Japan and then a couple pages later someone brought up the official 'press release' or whatever the heck it was about the movie coming over and what it was about. So yes, I believe it was in Japan.

    Anyways, my reaction here is the same it was there: I WILL PROBABLY watch it, but NOT in theatres. If I am to watch it, I will do so in the safety of my home where no one can see me other than my family... who know that I love watching children's cartoons and anime. :) But lately I've been wondering if I should go see it in theaters so I cna simply shout out "I LOVE YOU SETOOOOOOO!!!!111!!!" when or if he comes on. XD Always wanted to do something like that. yup, yup...

    The free crads thing works btw. ~_^ i've seen it in my own homr.
    Brother: *sees the promo* WE ARE SEEING THAT MOVIE!!!
    Me: When it comes out in video...
    Brother: No in theatres!! I want to get the cards!
    Me: ... You were adopted.

    Btw...that first 'movie' wans't really a movie. It was considered the Special 'Shounen Jump Episode' o_O

    The latest Pokemon movie i believe is claled either Jirachii's wish, or Jirachii the wish bringer btw. o_O

    The SJ article didn't say much. Those who want to read it can. August is the release date. Tells where it will be released. It didn't say Japan though. There will be some computer graphics. Until I have the time to look up if it was released in Japan already. I leaning toward it has been.

    I'm not really looking forward to this movie. At least, not the dub release. I mean... it's a dub release. I don't trust the company that picked up Yu-Gi-Oh. I just don't. If it were ADV, I'd be all right. But as it is... x_x;;

    It's coming to theatres in Puerto Rico as well. I FEAR the Spanish dub script, even though the voice acting is better. x_x;;

    I have!! The plot sucked, voices sucked, dialogue sucked, a lot of it sucked but that's probably just because it was by 4kids but being a fangirl i didn't care about ANY of that!! The important thing to me was the SEXY guys and the hints of YAOI!!!! hehehe :D I mean come on... did you see the way Kaiba was looking at Yami? ;) Overall, maybe like 7 out of 10 since i'm such a hard core fan... all I have to say is that there BETTER be a subbed one... so at least the voices and dialogue wont suck. :p
