I wish it were that easy. The republican party is so butthurt about losing not only the presidency but control of both branches of congress that they are stonewalling everything the democrats try to do. They cheered when we heard that Chicago lost its bid for the Olympics to Rio, and they screamed bloody murder when Obama accepted the Nobel Peace Price. They are completely polarized. Our Government is split down the middle... actually, it's split 2/3 down the way: Dems have a filibuster proof Senate.

Lol nice guys. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing some changes to the health care. I think Obama's plan is good. America needs to do something to jolt our health care. When people die of the flu or something small that is very wrong. America really needs to take a stand. Not just on health care.

Adding teddz to the mix is always entertaining.


The world does make me wonder. Giving a reported child abuser the right to be alone with his kids is messed up. Granted the mother has issues with keeping her house clean but with 4 kids who wouldn't? She has proven with a smaller home better. Yet he still gets to be with them alone. Well when he hurts the kids I hope he also shots the social service worker.

Anyway...my old computer is up and running. Well so far so good. Yeah. Don't think I lost anything either.

Basher - no worries. I've been in bed a week myself from what appeared to be a cold with a slight flu. Unless you have a fever, don't go. I felt like I was dying until this morning. I don't believe in going to the doctor but I was tempted. Just stay in bed and use congestion medicine.

 

All better. RAWR. well for a few weeks now. Stayed home anyway because of suggestion too.

I just pre-ordered the collector's edition of Mass Effect 2.

 

The health bill passed in the house. We're one step closer to becoming Canada without the 'Eh's.

New Jersey was close to passing gay marriage. But thanks to 'ze new Republican in charge, we're abolishing even civil unions. Yay! Bigotry!

 

Sadly, my mother is overjoyed. Affordable insurance but then again, kids like me whose parent or something passed away won't get that check that pretty much kept me alive all this years soon enough. It's sad

I think the population will beg to differ on civil union or at least a few people's guns.

Doubtful. It's not really up to the population. Mostly up to our silly Republican Governor and the impending house vote. Needless to say, after this and what happened in Maine and California, it is clear that even after thousands of years, evolution, the various medical and scientific advancements we've made, it took us this long just to allow a black person (and not even fully black) into the White House and gays still are not accepted.

Needless to say, no longer have any semblance of faith in the human race. Oh well. Ta-ta.
