I'm *quite* fond of cute girl stuff!...
with a little *boldness* thrown in! - ^_^
Not any of that tentacled monster crap...
just funny, light hearted naughtiness...

"Jungle wa itsumo Hale nochi Gu" looks really *cute!* - ^_^
I like the style it's done in!
You have a nice *varied* collection of stuff there!...

Spirited Away is nothing short of a *masterpiece!* -
I *love* all of the Ghibli films that I've seen...
& I think this is one of the better ones!...
maybe even *the* best! -
*get it!* -
you won't regret it! -
& I even got a free rice ball with mine!!! - ^_^

Yamadas is *interesting*...
I'm not sure if I would advise you to get it though...
I think it's *pretty good*...
but that doesn't mean *you* will...
I don't think it's as good as most of the other Ghibli films though!

Still haven't seen a Ghibli movie yet.

Only thing i've seen of Miyaxaki's is Lupin- Castle of Cagliostro, that kicked ***, gotta get the new release with the improved dub (generally anything is better then the translations Streamline did)

How bad is the transfer of Spirited Away? Ghibli are getting a fierce doing about the red tint that's on the video.

 

Yeah that's one of the few things I've heard about the DVD release of Spirited Away. Although it's been said that the red tint problem can vary greatly in severity depending on the type of connection you use and your tv. If you can adjust the rgb levels on your tv you don't have much of a problem.

Now I hope that's true because I've just ordered it.


Where can I get My Neighbours the Yamadas? I haven't been able find it anywhere.

the red tint *is* kinda annoying alright...
but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is an *amazing* film!...
like Nicholas D says - anyone with a decent TV should be able to adjust the RGB levels...
though I must admit that it's a pain having to adjust them & re-adjust them every time you watch the film!...
Unfortunately, the tint is there no matter what you're playing back the disc with!...
I've tried it on 2 different DVD players, 2 different TVs, 2 different computers, my PS2 & my X-box...
my solution to the problem was...
to rip the disc to my hard drive...
dump it into Premiere & adjust the RGB levels...
save the new version to my hard drive...
delete the original...
& play it back direct from the hard drive...
with no tint...
thru the TV out on my graphics card...
& onto my TV! - problem solved! - ^_^...
though maybe that was a slightly *extreme* solution! - ^_^.

I'm not sure where you might be able to order Yamadas from Nicholas D!...
my girlfriend is Japanese & goes back to Japan every once in a while...
so that's how I got my mine! - ^_^

that's my list, just made it up now, I have plenty more manga but all the manga i hjaven't listed is just one volume of a series or something, so it would be far too tedious to list it all.

I have alot of inu yasha manga too, but I couldn't find it anywhere on the HD>. hope I haven't lost it
