Who would go to this? Seriously, we should have one of these. It would be so cool. Wecould all decide on a place to get together, and then just hang around and talk BJP and anime. Now for the list of events:

    • As the convention begins, the members that attended (the major ones) would go up on stage and introduce themselves.
    • Next, we would all bum around and post on BJP, talk with people we've always wanted to meet with in person, and play video games provided.
    • Then, there will be competitions, such as most posts under an hour, best thread created at the convention, and most karma given out at the convention. The winners of these will recieve anime DVD's, anime plushies, and other anime merchandise.
    • Then we all break for lunch! There will be a huge cafeteria serving many different kinds of elegant foods from local caterers. There will also be a salad bar and dessert buffet.
    • Next comes the games! BJP football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, rugby, and games that we all come up with off the top of our heads will be played!
    • After the games, we break for dinner! Dinner buffets and dessert buffets are available, and we sit and eat and converse amongst oursleves for however long it takes you people to eat. :p
    • After dinner, there's the dance! Ever wanted to dance with Cloud? Of course you have! Ever wanted to do the tango with Blue or Basher? But of course! How about a waltz with Ragnarok, or me for good measure? That would be a dream come true for you guys wouldn't it? :D
    • After the dance, free stuff is given out, from BJP merchendise to random anime merchandise. BJP members may make speeches or shout-outs up on stage at this time.
    • After all is said and done, everyone catches a ride home. Shotgun!

So what do you think? Would you go? I would. :) Here are the ticket prices, becuase this kind of thing doesn't pay for itself you know:

BJP Member: 20 bucks at the door, 15 if pre-ordered.
Non BJP Member who just happens to pass by: 30 bucks at door.

All you gotta bring is your sweet little selves, and maybe a friend. We gotta decide on a place to have this and when! Think people, think...

Hate to break it to you man but this idea has already gone through everyone's head here. We've all tried to think on this one, though someone actually posted it, good job:). I'd certainly go, no doubt about it, but there's a few problems. Some of the people here don't drive or don't have transportation. Other's live in other countries and the flight would cost them. Lastly, and this is more for the younger ones, I don't think their parents would like their kids going to a place to meet a bunch of people they've met on the internet. wouldn't really settle to well. But yeah, I'd certainly go....just to dance with Rag or Cloud, hahaha. Or Basher or Blue.

I like the idea. But being able to get everyone to a single place at the right time would be pretty hard. And since we're all meeting each other in person, why would we want to do anything on the forums? And wouldn't we need a lot of computers for us to do that anyway?

Still, it would be a good way for me to reveal my funny looking hair.

I say we do it in Edmonton. :p I know a good place we could rent out. :p

I'd go if it weren't astronomically far away. I *do* have schooling to save for.

Actually, if you want my serious opinion, it'd probably just be better to hold a huge meet-up at some anime convention instead. I don't think a convention to BJP in itself would be big enough to be worth the cost. BJP isn't especially huge, and you can bet a majority of the members wouldn't make it, no matter where you held it. Given the demographics of the forum, Canada would likely be the best country to hold it in, and probably Central or Eastern Canada would be better, to ensure the largest attendance.

I'd attend if I was older. Also, BJP is related to Anime, and you mentioned none except as DVD winning prices. What's the deal!?:p

I'd have a couple of booths. I've got tons of anime that in total could last a long, long time.

As for fees, if we all put ourselves to it, and pay a fair share, we could all make it happen.

    Fees:[/]
    Cloud and BMS:$1,000
    Everyone else:$2

    XD

    It's the Admin fees! What!?

Jokes aside, yeah. If Rag says he could rent a place out, I wouldn't mind going over sometime and helping pay. But like I said, I'd need to have moved out, and have a good job.

That's IF BJP was big enough.

Once again, like Ragnarok said, I think we should just meet at an Anime convention. And Canada DOES sound abour right, since most active members reside there. It WOULD be kinda hard to meet up, especially the strangers to the country.

Seishin:I'll be the one with the Roy Mustang costume
    Ragnarok:K.
*Ragnarok arrives at convention seeing lots of Roy Mustangs...OMFG!*

Well, if we were to meet at an anime convention somewhere in Canada, where would it be? We should set up a BJP booth, but my plan sounds a lot more fun, don'tcha think? :p

If we were really THAT important, we'd need a booth. Or, we could just rent one out, a small one, for all BJP members.

Still, I don't think other conventions would appriciate us playing football around their expensive anime merchandise. :p Kidding. What anime convention is coming up that we could actually do this at? The booth, I mean.

Like I said, it couldn't be done this year, or not maybe even next year, but a long time after, when we're all moved and such, we could do it.

It'd be cool anywhere where we could do it.

Well, BJP is big, it's just that most of the members sign up and then never come back on again. I don't know how many daily active users there are, but there are probably enough that we could fill an audotorium or something mid-sized like that.

I'd guess 25, maybe 30 people at the very most. BJP really has only a small group of dedicated members, a lot of them have been transient.

And when you factor in that not all of them could make it, the outlook isn't exactly promising. It's be more like a small social party than a convention. :(

This is why I suggested meeting up at an existing anime convention instead.

As far as upcoming ones, Animethon is in a decent location (like, downtown Edmonton :p), it's far enough in the future that people could make plans to go and probably keep them (Early July this year), and it's quiet enough there that meeting up would be a little easier than at a huge convention like, say, Anime North. As a bonus, I'm friends with one of the coordinators of Animethon (at least I think she is), and I might be able to weasel my way into getting us a private room. :3

It... Is... Perfect! I really think that could work. I mean, I have confidence that that could work. It rests on Ragnarok's shoulder's to get us all a private room. :p Then, after Animethon, it's off to Ragnarok's house for a sleepover! :p Kidding. Seriously. Rag your room is too small to accomidate us all. :) All we need now is for everyone to show up. I hope my parents will let me go.

I'd go, but I doubt I could convince my parents to let me go to Canada ALONE. Plus, no where to stay. The expenses would be way too high. And the sad part about it is, you could count the number of active users probably on your hands and toes. But hey, Rag, if you cna make it work, I'll gladly chip in. How does....$1 dollar sound, hehe.
