Death note is now licensed by VIZ. The first volume is coming out in October 1st.

 

Never heard of such a Manga. I am surprised that this is done by people associated with making Hikaru No Go, because I think that just tilts the violence scale a little.

 

A little? lol.

Anyway this reminds me of Tom Cruise's movie, "minority report". It's about the same, isn't it? Getting rid of the extreme cases but fails to solve the problem from the root i.e. extremely disfunctional families, society, etc^99...

I find it interesting. Being able to control who dies. I wouldn't be able to do it. I have this thing that even if a killer dies someone still suffers.

Deathnote is indeed an awesome manga. My friend and i are spilt on whose side to be on -Light's or L's- however...we both agree that Light shouldn't have killed those FBI agents...it was unnessecary, cruel, and it only put him under the msot suspcicion. Bad move on light's part. >>

I like Ryuk the shinigami. He loves apples....when my friend saw that he told me the first thing he thought of was me (I have an apple fetish). O_O

My friend also thinks Light's looks like Kaiba...only better drawn.

Hey now don't give to much away. For those who are in to the manga who can't wait for the live action movie? I am currentily reading a lot again can't help myself.

 

I'm on Volume 3 of the manga...I believe I stopped after the Chapter called humilation, and then after Light and L have their tennis game. I gotta finish the volume tho and give it back to my friend. XD

L needs some sleep.

EDIT: oh and all throughout the chapter 'Humilation' Light was SO EFFIN' HAWT. I have a thing for guys in suits, okay!? But that title page for the chapter....HOLY CRAP! O.O
