:D for the most part i like 26 ep animes, but there all good to me. sometimes i would prefer an anime to go to 100+ eps and sumtimes after 6 eps it is perfect and i wouldnt want it any longer.

i think that 26 eps is just right. movies are always too rushed, 13 eps are too short and more that 30 is when it is getting drawn out for money, ie: sailor moon, DBZ.

I would prefre the quality of 26-ep length animes (SMJ, Love Hina, fruits basket/etc) , but in 30-50 episodes to keep us enjoying.

I am going to have to go with Movie length...

I just love the length of movies in anime... but there are a few series exceptions.... (Cowboy Bebop, Trigun)

As many episodes as possible. . .
especially if the anime is a very good one. . .
Boring anime can be short. . .
    but not the entertaining ones!

i like to keep 'em short, when the episodes seems to be infinite, the quality of the anime greatly decreases, examples: pokemon, saint seiya, ranma, simpsons(not anime, but they suck now)

It depends. If it's going to just be repetitive, keep it to 26 episodes. But long series like Sailor Moon and Fushigi Yuugi are cool as well.

I like it to be about 26 episodes. But,really,I don't care how long it is so long as it's entertaining. It could be 2456 episodes long, and if it was good,I'd still watch it.But longer series are sorta bad, because the story drags on through all the seasons.I prefer it to have a beginning and an end.:)

I prefer average, 26 episodes, but that's just me. Sometimes, it is too short, or sometimes just too long, 26 is just right.

It depends on the series.. Sometimes it's just so great you'd want another set of 26 episodes.. and when there isn't it just sucks.. I like 26 episodes or more, depending on the anime. 26 or less is too short for me to bother.

That sorta depends for me. As many of you already said, the quality of an anime is more important then the lengh. Still, I'd have to go with more then 26 episodes. I like being able to keep up with something for a long time, and while 26 eppies is nice, it's very sad when it has to end (especially so soon). Some animes are able to cover a lot in 26 eps. and seem like a pretty thorough series, but some seem sort of rushed. Also, while I'd rather watch animes that are longer then 26 eps... I want them to actually have an ending. Dbz, for instance, has no ending really, because DBGT comes up right when it's over, and I've heard there are many more DBs after that. I used to think it was a good anime, but now I see that the plot is sort of mindless, and it has stretched far longer then it should have. An anime like Inuyasha (my newest obsession) is the perfect length (even though it isn't finished yet, so we don't know how long its going to be but we can guess). It's very long and gives you a chance to get very deep into the plot and see all sides of the characters, but you know that the story has a point and is eventually going to end.

"development provided by continuous episodes of a series" I like about 26ep and up depending on how good the anime is. It more fun for me if you get to know how a charachers develop. I don't like the really short ones cause they leave you hanging.

Movie length is best for me. I find I don't have the money for anything more than that, and the only stuff I can see on TV is what I consider total garbage most of the time. Buying an entire series takes huge amounts of cash that I don't have, and as many know, I am not a fan of downloading internationally-released anime.
Really, though, you can tell an entire story with deep characters, meaningful plot, and everything else everyone looks for in the space of a few hours. The international film industries are largely based on this concept. I fail to see how animation is any different.
Failing film-length, though, I enjoy an OVA or short series. I can usually spare the time and resources to catch the entire thing, and it gives the luxury of watching one episode at a time.
I can watch a full 26-episode series now and then, but it has to be absolutely AMAZINGLY good in order for me to go beyond the first few episodes. And then, I usually just borrow stuff from friends, because buying the whole thing would take forever. Now that I think of it, the only 26-ep series I've ever actually watched in entirety is probably Love Hina.
The really long things are just stupid. I can't think of a single series that I've seen that really needed to be this long. Two seasons is the absolute most I have ever enjoyed of anything. Going beyond this, I just keep asking myself "when will it all end?". Even though, for example, I loved the start of Dragonball Z, towards the end of the series I didn't even watch it any more. The worst is when there's a really long show on that you can't stand, and it's cluttering up time slots on your favourite networks when a better show could be run instead. Also, it is very hard to maintain a standard of quality of storyline when the series is more drawn out. Plots and humour get recycled, a certain hook gets old, and everything starts to get predictable. And of course, there's the whole issue of "selling out". There often seems like a perfect ending to something, but then the original publishing company throws a wad of money at the series' creator and insists they make more. Not willing to turn away cash, the series continues ... and continues ... and continues ... until the audience stops watching.

Overall, movie length is my preference, mostly due to financial reasons.
