Well, of course, English... and I'm teaching myself Japanese--but I'm not that determined to learn at the moment, so it's going slow... I only know some phrases and words, and some simple kanji...

Sadly, the only language I speak fluently is English. I studied French and Latin in high school, but forgot most of what I learned. I'm currently studying Japanese at college, and I'd like to take Welsh, but the program here isn't always available. Oh, if HTML counts as a valid language I know that too. *grins*

Of course, it doesn't help that I've never been very good at learning other languages. Japanese is easier than French though.

'Course there's a recognized difference 'twixt Irish and Scottish Gaelic. It's more than just dialectical differences.

/me slaps B-berry upside da head!

don't ever call it gaelic :)

    it's irish damnit!
    or Gaeilge (irish, *in* irish)..

aye,Irish was the main language of Ireland many many years ago but the british came and when they colonised ireland they tried to stamp it out, so now not a lot of people speak it. but it's still a fairly active language.

as for what it soudns like, check the "worser dare thread" i posted a lil bit of it there

It might just be the Scotch brand of gaelic, but I really don't think the language works as well in song as the accent.
