    its would be watashi wa Elizabeth-san. Dozo Yoroshiku. Dozo Yoroshiku is a more formal way to say that...

    an actual polite greeting would be

    hajimemasta
    watashi wa *name* desu
    Dozo Yoroshiku

    Boku wa Ryan Flake to mooshimasu, yoroshuu tanomimanga na!

    (last bit is pretty standard Kansai dialect)

    Just as a note, referring to yourself with a '-san' is a technical no-no that I see broken by japanese speakers with such phrases as "Ore-sama" and other particularly boastful comments... it's still quite rare to break that rule.

    That's true...never use -san or -sama when referring to yourself. Especially not -san, which seems to be the most common. It's concidered strange and rude, so don't do that.

    Oh and you forgot to add "desu."
    Don't adding "desu" to formal speech is a no-no. It can be skipped in casual speech, however.

    Konnichiwa, mina-san! ^^;

    hmm... some Tokyo slang eh?
    "You're (rude version) an amazingly clumsy person(rude)!"
    "Joking!"

    Omee being a slang pronunciation of Omai (another interesting study in honorific-turned-insult) and so on and so forth...

    Saa... Nihon ni sundeiru koto ga aru hito ga arimasu ka?

    (Translation: "So... does anyone here have the experience of living in Japan?")

    I'll tolerate that for now.. as an example of what *not* to say. please keep the cursing to a minimum, as per the normal M2A rules. (Mod duty fulfilled)

    Eeh?! Kono ore-sama ni sonna mono... korra! (been watching Hajime no Ippo, can you tell? Translation: "Huh?! you dare say such a thing to the great and honorable me? Bring it!")

    Omae means "you." It is, however, not rude. It gives sort of familiarity, though, which some people can find insulting, so...use it with precaution.

    Sou yo! Watashi o shite yo! Yoshi!

    ^_^; nice to meet you Urashimasan. I've lived in Japan before but it was only through exchange. I'm planning on spending a year there starting this August. do you currently live in japan?

    everyone, isnt it wrong to teach beginners swear words?)

    ::In reply to Kirei-san::
    to iu = to iimasu

    iu is the root form of the verb iimasu. When you change a verb to the 'masu-form' you change the last shounding syllable into an "i sound" then add a masu.

    nomu = nomi+masu

    Teaching polite speech would be good I think, speaking of those who are just learning.)

    Just a question here... hehe :D
    Is there a reason why you don't use "yo" instead of a work for "i think"?

    Kaori he,
    ee, sore ha futsuu na keigo jya nai?

    Kirei na kimyou he,
    'yo' is most commonly used as a sort of exclamation point in standard japanese.. plus, with no inflection to be heard (as we're communicating in text) it's best to just stick with 'omou/omoimasu' to express opinion and such.

    As a further note on 'Omai'... it is certainly not recommendable for any situation where you aren't at least on a first name basis.

    (Translation:
    To Kaori,
    Yeah, that's regular polite speech isn't it?

    to Kirei na kimyou,)

    And another note, when pronouncing the 'he' as in where I'm addressing Kaori or Kirei na kimyou, the 'h' is silent.
