Recreation Losing members

I know i joined a while ago but still to me in BJP we either have barely any members that go on, and sometimes I am the only one.:sad:

 

Where have YOU been? There's lots of active members. Some just dont post as often as you. Take some for example, only use the Journal system and barely post. I, also, come here every day but dont post that much.

I get on when I can and post at times when I have the time

 

I know there about like maybe 30 or 40 active members that I have seen but, usually I usually see only 10 at a time at the most...Out of the about 10000 members here, like I said 30 to 40 are active...

 

Remember that people on BJP are all around the world, so when its 6pm where you are, its probably only 8am where other people are, and also 4am in other places. Its kinda hard for everyone to be on at the exact same time.

Personally i don't mind, i don't post all the time, only when i'm in the mood and when i have something to say. I don't really care about how many people are online at the same time, as long as there are posts.

 

Hey sometimes I am on at 12:00 pm like last night...so even if they do I would have knowticed...and plus they probably would hjave posted too right...but there was only like 5 more posts in the morning where I live right now...

 

Well sometime theres really slow days, and theres only bee 5 or 6 posts made in the last 8 hours. Its just a slow day, doesn't mean that members are diserting.

Members come and go, sometimes you have members hanging around from between a few months to a few years, and then they up and leave. Some come back, most don't, aslong as theirs at least one or two members logging in every so often, the site will survive.

In all seriousness, BJP has always had a rather transient population. People come by, stay for a few hundred posts, then leave. That's the way it is. The members who do still come around though, aren't like us. We're the type that checks everything and responds to most. Others usually only check a couple of forums, maybe post once or twice in a week. It used to just baffle me, I couldn't understand how people could post that little on a site as active as BJP.

Ah well, such is the way of things. I wouldn't be too concerned about BJP dying or something, but you and I both can handle far more activity that BJP offers. My advice is to join other forums. BJP is only one of a handful of forums I visit, you know?

And heck, PM me and I can give you a few URLs.

 

I go on most days but I don't always post. If we made a list of all the active members I'm sure it would be much bigger than 30 or 40.

 

Some members just like to take breaks, and others come in super actively. So it makes it look like there's not many, but far from it. An inactive forum would be fore example if today, there ws still post from yesterday or maybe two days ago on the main page.

Besides, I like BJP BECAUSE it's not super extremely 10000 members at once active. It'd be extremly hard to keep up with say...all users like me, Ragnarok and Shjin kind-a active.

True, god knows if this turned into another boards.ie, i probably post in here an awful lot less then i already do, it just wouldn't be worth the effort, since most of your comments go unnoticed.

 

Wait wait wait. 10,000? Looks like not even 5000 to me.

But all it was is that it seemed strange that people would only pop in for a minute or two, read a thread or two, that kinda thing. With me, I only come online if I know I'm going to have enough time to look at all the new posts, and if I don't, then I wait until I do have enough time.

In fact that particular idea ended up in me leaving a forum before because I hadn't checked it in so long. The real reason was lack of interest, that was just the excuse to not go.

Anyway I'm rambling so I'll stop now.

 

There are several people who's got a life now. Some of us study in College, some of us work, some of us got a life "besides" the internet.

You just gotta compermize, and understand that some people have other things to do

I get just about everyday and post where I think I need to. The only reason I wouldn't be on, more often than not, is because of homework and other things I have to do.

 

Sadly, I'm not able to come on as much as I used to and as much as I'd like to. I'm just too busy with school and such but I still come on and make random posts when I can. I know a lot of people who are in the same boat when it comes to posting on forums but it doesn't nessessarily mean that they're leaving all together. People get busy and that's just how the cookie crumbles.

Well, I think that boards.jp isn't as active as it use to be, but that may be due to the fact that I hardly get on anymore and don't see the activness..

I don't think boards.jp will just turn into a dead forum anytime soinor anything.. this forum has a lotofthings that people enjoy... although it is mainly anime..there are plenty of other things to interest a person.

 

I try to be as active as I've been in the past (not saying much...), but as Teddz pointed out, I do have college to study for. Also, recently, I've just not had much to say, so I don't really say anything. I still come on about two or three times a day, just, I don't really have much to contribute.

But yeah, I'd say B.Jp is far from dead.

 

we can also consider that there isnt much to post about. almost all animes are covered. unless some one wants to talk bout a new anime =D anyone know of a new anime?
