Since there are many awesome talented artists and story writers hanging around the forums, why not team up and produce Mangas. It a chance to learn, and improve your abilities! It a cool Idea, but it will need alot of people's cooperation!

These are some of the jobs I can think on top of my head. There will be more.

Writers: The Developers of the story
Editors: Edit the stories, provide feedback
Character Designers: Interpret how the characters look like (conceptual characters)
Manga layout Designers: Determine how the frames should look like. (develop just the sketches)
Mangaka: Drawing the actual manga (frames w/ characters w/ detail and expressions)
Inkers/Cleaniner: Get rid of unwanted lines etc.
Toners/CGers: Either apply tones to the manga, or color the manga.
Collectors: Search sites for digital tones, online tutorials, and anything we need to know about manga

Oh i love it ...! ok ummm im not as creative as the rest of you guys, but I would like to be a character designer Ill try my best

 

I'd like to get involved in the story writing section plzzzz!! If you'll have me. ^^ I think this would be fun. ( I can draw etc, but not on computer at all, so I would be useless in that department)

 

I can draw if you'll have me.A character designer or illustrator,maybe?I also have people tell me that I write great stories,although I don't think so.Sounds fun.

hm... wonder whatever happened to takashi? he would've been perfect for this, knocking off 10 pictures a day that made me want to hang myself

 

I would like to help, but I'm not good enough to be the Mangaka. But I really would like to be a charicter designer, but if there are to many people for that already, I would like to be the layout degisner (as long as it doesn't have to be on the specail manga paper since I don't have any) of it's ok.

 

I could probably do some writing.

 

wow, it appears you have a shortage of mangakas here, ill take that job if nobody else wants it, it'll be some more good practice

ill scan a few pics in and email them to the "producer" if you want a sample or anything (do they need to be shaded or line art? depends if they are to be CG'd i guess...)

 

ill have to scan in a pic i drew today of Kitsune, and some other random girl (yeah, im getting quite obsessed with LH as of late )

It's my first attempt at putting some colour on any of my sketches, so it's not incredibly good, but ive done a good job of making jean hot-pants look realistic

First of All The story

Wow! IT's great to see a lot of responses! First of all we need a good original story before we begin creating a good manga. IT's probably better to start with a short story and few characters. We also must decide on an appropriate theme, and setting. Any suggestions?

Well, first of all, I just have a few questions for the other writers.

1)What idea are we going to base the story on? Romance, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Comedy, a combination? I'm sure there are other ideas too.
2)How are we going to go about writing and then combining?
3)How long do we want this to be?
4)I think I will need characters before I start because I need to know personalities, and who will come in where, etc. k? (character designers, ne? hehe)
5)I think that's it. I'm good. If I think of more, then I'll ask. But yeah.

 

Writers: You can work on your own, or team up. It's all up to you. I don't want anyone to feel that he/she are forced to do something. I think that limits creativity.

 

mmm. i'll be. mmm. i'll be everything u guys would expect me to be ^^.. it would be either the outliner, or the char. designer, or the magaka who draws the manga part ... i'm no good on writing because my english not so good. so ^^ i'll just go with the drawing part ^^ hehe...

 

I'd like to be a writer.I'd also love to be an illustrator,but you probably wouldn't like my crappy drawings.
