Yeah, I'm dead. No Tangles this time. But good game. Never did I expect my elf deck to be beaten. I enjoyed it. We should play another some time. I'm sure that if I had lived one more turn, though, I would have won. My army would have become massive, along with my life, and you had no blockers. Oh well, that's the luck of the draw. But you see the power of my Recycle/Aluren combo for yourself now.
Mmm. Cept that I had a Marsh Gas as draw next turn, and with that and Engineered Plague I probably would have lived to my next draw.. which was another Engineered Plague. Marsh Gas B Instant All creatures gain -2/-0 until the end of turn. And hey, I never got to whip out my discard or Grinning Demons either, nor did I draw even one Dark Ritual, so fair game. ;]
Of course, I've got a Rolling Thunder buried somewhere in my deck...*checks* ouch. Right at the bottom. But I had enough mana to kill you with it. And I had a Spore Frog coming up to keep me alive a bit longer. If only I hadn't drawn a forest right then. My Killer Bees might have done the job too. Ahh well, just show me I need to fine-tune my deck some more. Perhaps adding a couple of Skyshroud Rangers? The only reason I kept stopping at various points was that my hand contained 2 Forests, and the Rangers could handle that. Skyshroud Ranger, G, 1/1, Elf, (tap)Put a basic land from your hand into play. Play this ability as a sorcery. [EDIT]This certainly was the most challenging game I've played in a while. Hmm... I haven't lost in 4 months. It was also more interesting than most of my recent games as well. Now to work the bugs out.[/EDIT]
Your only weakness in your deck is that... ..you don't have haste, otherwise your Wellwishers would have won you the game. Throw in a Mass Hysteria from newer times and keep up 4 Skyshroud Elves and you'll be kickin' *** easy.
Yeah, the haste is a problem. I've been trying to get something to fix that. Maybe I'll get that Mass Hysteria. Actually, the other weakness is, as mentioned above, that if I have two forests in my hand, I have to stop and wait till the next turn. I think I can fix that though. Thanks for the advice.
True. Luckily I already own all of those. But the Seedborn Muse isn't totally necessary for this, because Ranger has to play them as a sorcery.
Aww, and here I was thinking one could dump his hand on another's turn. Oh well. There's always Fastbond. *ducks* Anyhoo, I've revamped my red deck to become competitive, and I want to give it a shot, so it's an open challenge in an attempt to get back on topic. ;]
Oh? Then I'll use my red deck, which has been neglected too long. ( I stopped using it after my friend put together a deck that could stop it in its tracks (COP:Red and Sanctuary) You can go first this time.
