RPG Archives Newborn God: In Game

Athena walked into a french classroom and saw her cousin, Carn. She smiled and waved at him before handing the teacher her note. She took a seat behind Carn (ooc: if someone is already sitting there i'll change my post). She waited until the teacher had turned back to the board before she leaned forward and whispered, so only Carn could hear, "I've heard that you're having trouble getting used to being a God. Don't sweat it cousin you have myself and all of the other goddesses here for your help."

 

Ceris sat down in front of Carn. She glanced at Karu for a second and then looked back at the board. She started to hum to herself and she hoped the teacher wouldn't yell at her telling her to stop. "I hope Carn is alright." She thought to herself.

Carn looked at Karn in a shooked way. "Who are you?" He said. Then Athena looked started talking to him. So he forgot about the question. "Cous... how do you know..wait... your goddess too?" He looked at the ground. "This is all a dream... right?"

 

Karu glanced toward Athena on her side. Ofcourse, the girl being a cousin of the god ment she blurted things infront of the class...

Karu lowered her head to the desk for one good soft smack before pulling out a piece of paper. She hunched over her desk, writing on it. Finally she lifted her head, waving a hand on the paper to dry her ink almost absently.

She finally folded it after much careful work that wouldn't be hard to unwrap, into a specific nice shape and finally gently leaned forward enough to slip the note under Carns arm, giving Athena a sharp look before settling back in her seat.

The note plainly read;

Carn,
If I'm a friend of Ceris than its safe to talk to me isn't it?
I promise I'm no lowly demon.
I just want to speak to you without Ceris or Athena around to bug me.
Believe me, my lord, my god, I speak my mind and I speak the truth.

There was the print of a wolf paw, drawn in, in black ink, where the rest was in green, where the signature would have been. She didn't want to sign her name. She wanted to lure him into getting alone to speak to her. If anything happened, she could help him, and the others would come if they needed them.

Karu folded her arms and lowered her head, resting her chin on her crossed wrists, green eyes half shut, like some lazy wolf during the warm summer, not a care in the world, though every sense was lifted. She acted like a wolf in its human form, if wolves had human forms.

She longed for her friend of the woods. But he'd be disruptive in the school so she'd had to leave him in hiding back home.

 

Akame sighed, bored with the teachers lecture. She didn't really care for french. She just chose it becuase...
Carn came into the room a minute after he had left. She smiled and waved at him. She smiled, happy that he'd finallly noticed her. It had been a while sense they'd actually spoken.
She she was snapped out of her gaze as the teacher started to yell at her. She didn't exactly understand what she was saying, but she knew it wasn't good. She turned around, pretending to pay attention.
Then she noticed another girl talking to him. She suddenly had a bad feeling in her tummy and she turned around. It wasn't like she wanted to see that.

 

Athena took in Karu's glare. She sighed and mouthed, I made sure that no mortal could hear me he was the only one that heard me... only other goddesses could possibly have overheard me.

 

"Tch...I finally decide to be socialable and I'm ignored. Damn it all...." Setel muttered.

"Hey Setel!" her friend called.

"I'm coming..." she said, catching up with him.

'That boy had to have been the god....' she thought as she and her friend walked off school grounds.

 

Carn looked at Karu when he read the note. He slightly nodded at her. He took out a pen and wrote in the note.

Dear...person,
So you know what I am? Please do not call me
your god. It kind feels akward, just call me by my name.
Yes I will talk to you alone. Just when and where?

Carn


He folded it up and looked over to her, he threw it on to her desk and smiled slightly while turning back to the board. He heard the teacher yelling at someone and he turned to see it was Akame. He slightly laughed and then smiled at her. He hadn't seen her in a long time. He looked back at the board and the teacher was once again glaring at him. He glared back at her, she looked kind of shocked that he did that.. but he didn't care. He laid his head on his desk.

Ceris looked at Karu, she noticed Carn and her passing notes. She shook her head. "What is she thinking passing notes. Especially if its about him being a god. The teacher might take it and read it. What would I say to explain it?" She said to herself. She looked at Karu and gave her a scornful look and then looked back to the board. "Well I have seen Setel, Karu, and Athena..but where are the others. I do not even sense them. She shook her head. This is not going well..." She thought. She frowned and laid her head on her desk.

 

Karu read the note before she caught Ceris gaze. She impishly stuck her tongue out at the other goddess. She knew what Ceris had given her that look. Ceris was worried the teacher would see the note and they'd be in trouble.

But what human would understand? She'd probably think Karus comment in her note about not being a lowly demon and calling Carn, 'my lord, my god' as a joke or tease, not the truth. She hadn't even signed it, only the inked paw print.

She thoughtfully tapped her chin, having turned over to the back of Carns note to reply, though looked as though she were listening to what was being said, green eyes distant.

She finally lowered her hand, scribbling, leaning slightly as though taking notes from what the teacher was telling them and scribbled quickly. Soon enough she was leaning forward enough to gently drop the note onto the corner of Carns desk, beside his arm, before she was back in her seat. This note was much simpler;

I'll consent to calling you by your name unless Ceris disagrees, which she might. Meet me at lunch. I'll be by the large willow at the back.
Don't make me wait long.

She still didn't sign her name. She'd tell him it in good time. She found no reason to until she spoke to him.

 

Carn read the note and looked at Karu. He smiled and turned back to face the front. He looked at the note once more. He tapped his pencil on his desk, trying to think of a response. He sighed and simply wrote on it.

[l] Thank you miss for calling me by my name. I don't think Ceris will have a problem with it and if she does then oh well..im going to make her call me by my name also. I will meet you by the tree as soon as possible. Thank you again.
Carn[/l]

He handed Karu the note and put his head on his desk. He had a slight headache. He sighed and closed his eyes, not caring if the teacher would be pissed.

Ceris shook her head. "Damn Karu and her not caring attitude." She thought to herself. She turned and faced the front. She yawned and put her chin on her desk. She hated french..not the language but the teacher.

 

(OOC: To answer Fushigi Rockna's question, sure, Duessa could have been following Murasaki.)

"You need to work on your aim," Duessa observed as she approached Murasaki. As she came to a stop several feet away from the goddess, Duessa smirked at the other woman. "So, this is what passes for a goddess these days? How depressing," she said. "Or maybe I am mistaken, and you are just some delusional little girl who fancys herself to be a goddess." Duessa smiled at Murasaki. It was not a friendly smile. "That must be it. After all, what kind of protection could you possibly offer a god?"

 

Medea walked into the school building. She knew she was late and she hated that she was. She didn't mean to be, but she couldn't do anything about it. She actually was a student at the school, but a english teacher. She hoped she wouldn't be fired. Especially on her first day. She walked into the office and the principal called her over. She bowed before him and smiled slightly. "Yes sir?" The principal glared down at her. "Your late. And on your first day? What is your explination for this?" Medea frowned. "I am deeply sorry sir, my car would not start. So I had to take the bus. I do apologize." She looked at the ground. The principal nodded. "Well lucky for you, you didn't have a class this period. But do not be late again. Now go get set up for your class. The bell if fixing to ring for 2nd period." Medea just nodded politely and quickly walked out of the room and down to where her classroom was. She walked in and took out her books. She laid on the desk in front of her and sighed. The bell then rang, making her jump slightly and then she slightly laughed at herself for being frightened.

 

Carn walked out of his french class and went towards his 2nd period class. He sighed and thought about when he had to meet Karu. He sighed once again and walked into his English class. He sat down and he noticed the teacher. She looked kind of young, but very pretty. He smiled at her and they got started at once. He worked in his notebook, not really paying attention as she taught the class. He looked at her and felt as if something felt different about her. He shook his head and looked back at his notebook.

 

Medea looked at Carn and smiled at him. She could tell something was different about him, but she didn't know what. The bell wrong an hour later and she watched the kids walk out. It was lunch now and she thanked god it was. She was starving. She walked towards the lunch room and looked around as she did. She didn't see any of the other goddesses. "I wonder where they are?" She said to herself.

 

"Medea!" Athena shouted when she spied the other goddess.
Athena ran up to her dodging around other students. She finally reached Medea and smiled at her and said, "Hi. Long time no see have you seen him yet."

ooc: him meaning Carn their God. yes and sorry this is such a short post.

 

Medea smiled at Athena and shook her head. "I do not know if I have seen him. I don't know what he looks like..." She sighed and looked up in the air. "Where are the others?" She looked at Athena and smiled. "It's been such a long time since I have seen you and everyone else." She looked at Carn who had walked pretty far down the hall. She smiled and then looked back at Athena.

 

Athena noticed Madea's gaze and saw that she had seen Carn. Athena giggled and said, "Madea.. that guy you're watching leave down the hall is him . I'm not sure where the others went though."

 

Karu was settled on the roots of the willow tree she'd told Carn she'd be waiting at. She leaned heavily against the trunk, legs folded and pulled close, absently tapping her fingers against her leg in boredom.

But she wasn't alone under the willow, a darker figure lay sprawled in the darker shadows of the willows branches. Karu hadn't wanted to scare Carn away at the sight of her friend so she had him hidden from sight for the time being. Almost as though her friend knew she was speaking of him, glowing yellow eyes slitted open, head lifting a few inches from wide paws.

Even in the dark Karu could see his muscles tense as though to rise and greet her with a nuzzle and calm her emotions to be collected when Carn came. Karu waved him down gently, pressing a finger to her lips the same moment some of the long willow branches near parted to give access to another.

Her companions reaction to a newcommer was to slid away into the shadows, behind the willow, further from sight. Karu turned her gaze, squinting to find who the newcommer was, knowing who it should be already.

 

Carn walked out into the court yard and spotted Karu. He smiled at her and walked up. "Hello." He said and bowed before her. "What did you want to talk about?" He said looking into her eyes. The wind blowed slightly making his hair fall in his face. He sensed another person there. It was a man, he could tell. But he did not know where he was hidden. He didn't pay attention to it though and smiled kindly at Karu still.

Ceris stood near the door to the school watching Carn and Karu. She saw the figure of the man closed to them. She sensed he was strong. She had never seen him before, but she stared at him to make sure he was safe to be around Carn.

 

Medea nodded her head. "I thought I sensed something different about him." She sighed. "Have you even seen the others?" She said softly, staring at Athena. "I have a class soon so I can't stay long. Do you want to meet up later?" She smiled at Athena.

 

Athena smiled at Medea and said, "Yes i have French with a few of the others as well as Carn. Ceris seems slightly distressed because she told Carn about everything and now he's acting a little different. But yea, I'll meet up with you later if you'd like. I'll save you a seat at lunch."
