omg what?! ahhh thats terrible! wat are they going to do about people who already own airsoft guns? is a liscence required for you now? or do you have to get rid of all your guns or something? akk thats aweful! i pray it doesnt happen over here BAH id die if it ever did :dizzy2:! you should move to canada and buy/play! (and hopefully our government doesnt decide to make it illegal)

Nice! but isn't that a little too big for a lady? I myself find it too big. I consider berettas too big in fact, more suited to glock, usp, p99... that sort of compact size. Which make? I've fire the Tm Deagle, it really does have some kick.

On the ban note, yeah, it's a shame, I'm not entirely sure how extensive the ban will be. I mean surely if you don't flash it around outdoors you won't really get it confiscated. But if no new guns will make it to the country, the airsoft shops won't get new stuff and will eventually lose customers --> pack up in the worst scenario, that goes the same for airsoft playing sites.

Oh well, we'll see... I'm glad my friend managed to get the sig 552 for me from Hong Kong just before the ban, he won't risk it next time, so I'm glad my second AEG made it in. Here's she is

LOL yeh thats what everyone said when i brought it to the last game but then i kicked their butts with it hehe it was sooooooo funny. i like its size and the kick! call me weird but i do! power! yaaay! ive always liked the desert eagle lol id always use it in games and such i dont like the smaller pistols just cuz they feel like toys to me. i have the tm desert eagle hard kick lol yeh yeh i know im a small little girl but i can handle it...seriously haha!! its not hard to get used to actually =P i think its cuz the first pistol i ever used was a fully upgraded infinity sv pistol though i dont remember exactly what kind but it was fairly big and had a full metal body so it was heeeaaaavy...though i will admit i do look funny using a desert eagle cuz of my size XD

youre really lucky you got that sig! my friend has one that looks just like that except he has a handle grip on his rail instead on a tac light. keep that baby safe!! lol

these are my guns...i only have my desert eagle and my mp5 neither of which have any upgrades and i havent added an rds scope to my mp5 yet... lol soon though

Nice nice. I too havn't upgraded any of my guns... except the Infinty 4.3inch and the Beretta which were bought partially upgraded.

Regardless of the ban, I think a bunch of us are having a game some time this summer. There has alerady been several hundred signatures on the official airsoft anti-ban website, so we'll see how that gets along.

I've been estimating, my airsoft pile is valued at £1250 (to the nearest £50)... that's like $2300. It would hurt so much if that just went.

Oh well, all this airsoft talk is making me hingry for a few matches. I think I'd stick to the MP5 for CQB and the Sig 552 for longer range "open field" enviroments... meaning I'll probably have to up the internals for that sort of range. Any ideas how much I'm looking at to make it into a potential semi-sniping rifle?

o wow theres a lot of upgrades u can get for the sig and i dont know what you wanna do to yours so ill just list off all the internal upgrades i know of that u can get for your sig :dizzy2: so what youll have to do is look up each individual upgrade and find out how much it will be over there lol thats the best i can do for you

if u want to make your sig into a good sniping rifle youll also need a really good scope if u dont already have one and of cource do that after youve done all your internals

sorry i dont know the price of these upgrades i know of a guy who got an upgrade package for his sig 522 for about $800 CD but i dont know what it included. if u want u can tell me what upgrades u wanna get (if u know) on your sig and i can try to find out for you. im sure someone on my team must know XD

Edit: Oh also i dont know much about the sig 522 but ive heard that u shouldnt do too much internal upgrading because of the battery restraint...dunno if thats true or not just thought u might wanna know

 

Right, thanks for the info! Well, I was looking for a better spring that's for sure... but tbh, I'm not too sure what else I need, not really familiar with these upgrades. I'll look into the list you gave me.

But that $800... see, how I see things is - "all that for an uprade on 1 gun, I might as well get 3 new AEGs from my friend in Hong Kong", but now that he can't get any guns back due to this law I might need to make this an exception. But then again, if the law stays and the airsoft arenas go, then there isn't much point upgrading them... might just get the scope instead just for looks anyway.

yeh from what ive heard the sig doesnt need too many upgrades. i havent used it before but ive been told that the stock sig 522 is very good on its own but since you want more range/speed on it, perhaps you could just get an upgraded spring i suppose. now whether or not you need other upgrades along with a new spring for it work properly, i dont know lol. this is a much harder issue for you seeing as airsoft is gunna be banned where u live so maybe you should wait a while and see how things go with this whole thing. hey you never know! maybe airsoft will just be something you have to register for and/or play in designated areas or something! like i said if enough ppl come forward and object to this new law, the govt might make a compromise!!

 

Tbh, I havn't actually fired the Sig properly yet lol... just havn't really had the time. So I don't really know how good it is. However, the rate of fire is faster than my MP5-J, which was released after the Sig 552. That I don't quite understand.

I'll be getting a scope soon anyway, just for the "looks". Any recommendations for like a x32 or x40 scope which isn't more than say... $100 (USD)?

well different guns have different rates of fire it doesnt really matter which one is made first cuz theyre totally different guns lol

hehe actually i wanna get a scope just for looks too :sweat: i dont think i actually need one but itd make my gun look so sweet hehe! unfortunately though i dont know anything about scopes and prices i have to look into that aswell *sigh* i really dont wanna spend any more than $100 either it just wouldnt be worth it to me.

 

Well, cosidering they both have the EG1000 motor you'd expect them to have the same rate.

Oh well. Btw, If you're looking for a scope for the MP5 you're beter off getting them red dot scopes rather than a magnifying ones... it'll look bit silly having some 30 cm scope on a CQB gun. Unless you're planning on getting them really nice ACOG scopes costing like $250, they are smaller looking magnifying scopes but have good range. (If you've played Counterstrike, it is that scope which is mounted to the Sig 551)

I personally have the GUARDER 1x30 Reflex Red Dot Sight 4MOA which is really nice but it's a bit over $100 (bought the ring mount separately). There are a bunch out there by King Arms which do good red dot scope which come with a ring mount costing around $100.

lol yeh i was planning on getting an rds for my mp5 theyre the cheapest way to go (over here anyway) and i can get most of em for like $100 CND or a bit less. i might just have a look into king arms and see what theyve got ^_^

 

Wow...this sounds like somthing i could get into very fast and love it forever but sheesh...the cost of the equipment sounds killer high.

 

If you're serious on ths sport... you're looking to invest a minimum of $400 - $500 as a basic starter. Though in the long term it is cheap as all you really need to do is just get BB pellets which don't really cost much.

how does your SIG compare to your MP5? ive been seriously considering getting a 552. anything u dislike about it??

 

I somehow feel that the Sig has a better RoF and feels a big more powerful than the MP5 though they both use the same motor EG1000. The main body of the Sig is nicer than the MP5 as well. The magasines clipping is a nice feature. There isn't anything in particular I dislike about it.

Well I got mine directly from Hong Kong which would be cheaper... which cost me £140, that's around $250.

o man what i would give to get an AEG for that cheap....my deagle was $300 used including 3 mags...and thats cheap considering stock deagles cost $380 with only 1 mag...mags cost $70 a piece! u dont even wanna know how much my MP5 was >.< wanna buy me stuff?? lol
