Eirtaku Past event: Anime showing on Friday, 1st of Nov (Dublin)

LOL, I just realised that discotenchi must have been posting from the room beside me, which is the Comp Chemistry lab... He doesn't seem to be there now though...

I wont be in 2mrw either.. but tuesday ill be back to my usual 9-5.

One of the DUCSS guys booked H5 for us from 7-9...
I asked him if he could change that to a bit earlier, so we have time to show more stuff...
On the other hand, one movie might be enough for the first showing.
And someone else is going to be doing posters I think, that might attract more people...

 

Oh well, that's WAY too late for me....way too late on a Friday at least.

I understand the reason for putting these things on of a Friday is too allow members of Eirtaku to make it up, but at such a late time it may be difficult for them to get back home.

Also a Friday showing may hurt the numbers of potential new members who might have nothing to do on a weekday night and so could wonder in but need to travel/go to work etc. on a Friday afternoon and evening.

 

Yeah... I agree, it's somewhat late... I don't know why they booked it at that time... they didnt ask me either...

And lets say I wan't to see Spirited away in trinity on Nov 1st.
What's going on?

No, any society can have external members, we'll tell them about the showing so they'll know... The sci-fi soc is showing something else right beside us, so dont mix both things up

 

You know, I have some newly-acquired Zeta Gundam and Saint Seiya DVDs, remember?

You know, remember how at work I was like "OMG MY NEW ANIME DVDS YAY" for all of two weeks? ^_^

I don't think there are enough hours in a year to watch the whole of Saint Seiya
But if this works out ok, I'm sure we'll do anime showings more often

 

Make any progress on the time issue Kenshin? I've brought Kare Kano up with me should that be an option. Unlike most of my Anime the subbing is good.

 

Well it looks like it'll be at 7 after all
I guess that means less people will go to it, but next time I'll make sure to book the place myself at a proper time...
Or else I can go there tomorrow and see if it still can be changed...
