If you can get it earlier that would be great, but if not, there are 52 weeks in a year I guess.

The subs on Z Gundam episodes 1-2, 5-6, and alot of the episodes on the last DVD are brutal.
I've been trying to get the fansub asf versions of those episodes but I only have epis. 1 so far.

 

Well that was the first DUCSS anime showing. We're all very happy of how it worked out (Except we had some problems initially, and started showing the movie a bit later than planned.)

I was the guy with short black hair that was trying to turn those damn lights off, etc
I met a couple of people I hadn't met before (Wossack, Chowmein, Mad_Hamish and Phyrea, later on), I didn't meet DrunkLeprechaun though... oh well
Other people from the forum that attended were Mordeth, Kuroi Kenshin, Lex_Diamonds and Shokanshi Ascot.

We're thinking of making this a weekly event, if you have a suggestion of what should be changed, or what should be improved, please post it.

 

Make it a teeny bit earlier!

I was thinking of something though. If I got the DIT (Bolton Street) union to give me a room, say on a weeknight, would people turn up for that? I know only the Dublin based crowd would be able to go but two anime nights are better than one I suppose.

I'd still have some technological problems to sort out and it might not work out at all, but if it could be done would anyone be interested?

 

Brillant job Kenshin, great movie choice as well, and i would defo go if it was on every week

How were ye at the same anime showing and yet did not meet each other?
That don't make sense, was there like 100 people there or something?

 

cos it was a big enough room, and there was like 20-30 people there, and some people left as soon as the film was over.

 

Yeah, even though I didn't leave straight away. I met mord though, and gave him stuff and wossack and gave him stuff too.
By the by, I'm against making it earlier. I only get off at 6 most fridays, that makes it tricky enough to get in on time. I'd actualy prefer it if it was a bit later.

 

well if we had it earlier we could watch more things...
you could come along and catch the last showing at 7 or something, but that wouldn't stop us from watching something at around 5 o clock...

 

i would be fine with making it earlyer but wouldnt realy be able to make anything before 4:30 or 5. But would be cool to have more time to watch stuff

Show non anime stuff. Japanese/Hong Kong movies etc

 

You can get plenty of the HK action stuff on CNX.
Anime is what most people want to see at these showings.

i think a few HK movies might be a good idea.. like "city hunter">. that street fighter scene is teh win!


maybe battle royale, ring.. some cool jap films..

although we would have to have a disclaimer before Ring.. to make sure no one has a heart attack or something

 

Any chance of having it on a day other than friday then, say, thursday for example. Friday's just the worst possible day for me.

 

Don't know... maybe I should start a poll... but on thursday kuroi, lex, mrnewtype and me have our japanese classes
