Psychology Phobias?

Well, I thought before I had arachnophobia, but now I don't think so because if I see a spider in the house, I'd get a jar and catch it and throw it outside. It's just that they're so... ugly. ANd kind of scary lookin'.

But I have stage fright and I'm really afraid of being in front of a group of people alone. I don't mind if I have other people up there with me so all the attention isn't on me... but I get so nervous and....*shudders*

Sometimes when my mom says I'd have to get up in front of people for something, I break down crying. o0;

 

phobias hmm, losing my eyesight or hearing.

 

I used to be afraid of heights, but a camp I went to cured that the first day!! (its not so bad once you get over it ).

I am DEADLY afraid of insects, deep water and on occasion, i'm afraid of the dark (I still fear dangling my foot off the side of the bed ). For some reason, I have a phobia against telling a large group of people what to do. I know for certain that it is not stage fright, it's just a combination of embaressment and uncertainty (I really don't know how to accuratly explain it).

I love this thread because psychology is my field!

I used to be afraid of spiders, but once I saw roaches spiders were nothing! Roaches are so disgusting. They swarm, breed like crazy and are so hard to squash. I try to avoid going on vacation to countries where roaches are too common. By the way, the roach is the creature most likely to survive a nuclear holocaust. The biggest roach in the world resides in the Florida Everglades. I think it's called the death's head cockroach. They fly too, yuck! I also read that roaches are the only critters that live on every continent.

Im also really afraid of bees or just about any other insect that flies. I dunno why Im so afraid of them. They just scare me so bad.

 

I'm afraid of being afraid, I'm afraid of my own weaknesses, really. And I'm also afraid of addictions. Dunno the terms for those things.

 

I'm afraid of shots. Needles and syringes creep me out.

 

ACK! The other thing I have is 'hobophobia'
I'm afraid of bums, mainly cuz they try to grab me.

 

I am claustrophobic (tight spaces, being cramped up, not being able to breathe easy, ect.), Acrophobic (fear of heights, i believe thats the right word)

I also am afraid/can't stand to be around the following things:
1. Any type of Rodents
2. Bugs... I hate bugs
3. MONKEYS!!!! I HATE MONKEYS!!!! *sees a monkey and runs into a wall*
4. Clowns.... I just hate clowns, they're so scary..... *cries*

 

i have social-phobia! i cant stand being around alot of ppl! they make me nervous XD

i also hate spiders and other bugs. But spiders r my natural enemy! oh oh and Sailor moon scares me

I'm afraid of ALOT of things...

I know thier real names, but they wouldn't make sense to you, so:

-I'm afraid of deep water, but I LOVE it
-I'm afraid of heights, but I LOVE going high places
-I'm afraid of shots in your elbow joint place... y'know. The inside of the arm. It takes like 12 nurses to come hold me down while they give me that shot.
-I fear being alone when around people
-I'm scared to DEATH of greys... aliens.
-I'm afraid of tight spaces

The list goes on...

 

Well, I know exactly what I fear. And that is the following:

- I'm afraid of suffocating, or running out of air even for a few seconds.
- I'm afraid of heights.
- I'm afraid of bugs / insects.
- I'm afraid of public humiliation.

And that's about it. I'm also afraid of the dark, but only when it's so dark I can't see anything around me.

I fear heights and insane amounts of speed, which is why I hate roller-coasters. Otherwise, I'm not really afraid of things... I can be grossed out by them, though (spiders, ew).

I FEAR NOTHING!

Seriously, I've gotten over most of my real fears. What's to be afraid of?
Death? We all have to go sooner or later.
Injury? The only things that I think really hurt I can't do anything about, so why worry?
Pain? I'll get over it.

I only really have two fears, but if I told you them, well, I'd be opening myself up to both.
