After wandering the streets, and consequently picking up a few choice ricecake bundles, Ryoga is pointed off in the direction of Tokyo... ...but he ends up wandering South instead...

MNA: (scratches his head) Tokyo? So, shouldn't you be looking in Kanto? This is Fukuoka for crying out loud!
MAN: (Points the way) Head off in that direction for the better part of the day... Tokyo ought to be easy enough to find after that - just follow the road signs...
shortly after leaving the sight range of the man, Ryoga promptly falls through a local wormhole, winding up in Nerima! (ok, maybe not, but he could!)
Akane soon reachs the old man's house and hesitates before entering. Akane:How will I break this to him?......
About that time, Buru turns the corner to see Akane already at the door. He walks right up to the door and knocks on it twice, paying a solemn nod to Akane. He then waits.
Akane nods back to Buru. Akane: You're the only one who has at least some sense, Buru. Thank you. She waits in silence next to the door.
Once again the door pulls open, and the snobby man is about to go into his routine when some recognition dawns on him. MAN: Have you forgotten something here?
MAN: Very well. Right this way... The two follow him back into the room of the old man. * * * * * A small kid pokes at the still blazing Ranma with a stick. He's been frozen in anger for quite some time. "I think he's dead..." he says to a little girl with him.
Akane follows the butler into the house. Mysteriously, somewhere along the way, her hammer has disappeared...
They walk into the room, catching the old man off-guard. He hides the small action figures he was playing with before they came in, and goes into his normal noble stance. OLD MAN: Back so soon, you two? Why that look on your face? Did you get lost on the way out...or something worse? * * * * * RANMA: (Running along the fence) Stupid Akane! She's let her guard down to that weird guy, and now he's manipulating her so badly... just like her to fall prey to something like that. Looks like I'm stuck pointing this out to her... (hops down at a street corner) After all...it's not like I'm jealous or anything. Come to think of it, it'd probably be a waste of effort on my part... Let her make her own mistakes, and see if I care! (turns to go, but stops again) Then again, if I let her do that... and something happened... Pop'd never let me hear the end of it. So, I might as well get this over with... (takes off in the direction he last saw them)
Buru (in japanese floor-sitting position, bowing): Regrettably, sir, we are here to inform you of the passing of Hagako Fuji-sama. Buru remains bowed waiting for the old man's response.
Akane nods solemnly and puts a sympathetic hand on the old man's back. "He seemed like a nice man, although we had not the fortune to meet him earlier. I'm sure he didn't expect an answer to his letter, but at least he got a semblance of one. I'm sorry."
