Anime Should I stop watching anime?

I agree with that, a lot of the time the tunes and the way they put the chords together are more interesting and original than western pop. I guess they are bound to see it from a fresh angle. I guess its the language that realy gets in the way for a lot of people.

I don't know if your singing is that bad, ive never heard it ^_- Singing along in Japanese is fun, but i guess i can understand people might think we are odd... i expect it sounds even worse to a Japanese person though.

if you like or loooove anime you should and will not give up on it....

lemmie tell ya my dad told me the same thing...sorta i wasnt playin basketball much anymore and started playin more games and watchin anime all tha time...

he told me to get a jobby and i did so i could get more anime.... then i moved out!! YAY!! boffer in my backyard is soo fun.... none of that cut that shite out and mow tha yard... anywho if like it keep doin it... its your life...

 

Heh, parents can be so stupid, can't they? My parents and siblings teased me a lot about anime. Now I pretty much ignore them and what they say though. And thankfully the teasing has gone down a lot.

Just be true to yourself and who you are and what you like. Don't let them bully you around.

 

My parents think im stupid for watching anime... think its just kids stuff and a cpl of my mates think its stupid too, 1 of my mates actually came out with the phrase "most of it is just Pokemon with blood and some swearing" i actually cud have hit him for being so synical...
thats like saying most action movies are just Power rangers with some blood and swearing.
Take my advice mate... watch anime forever... most of it is better than normal feature movies and tv shows... i myself will never stop watching anime as long as its around..

Well, my family thought it was stupid to watch anime too, but hey I didn't let that bothered me, it acually made me feel cool cause I like to make people mad and what they don't like...but who cares right?...well after a while me and my brother would watch anime like after we come back from school...geeks that we are, we video tape a lot of them from I think it was cartoon net work...darn i forgot that other one...the "space suit little guy"....umm....can't think of the name right now but i think you know which one......i hope..... :dizzy2: anyways, we didn't care what people said and what they thought of it...to come and think of it, I don't think that anime is just "cartoons"...I like to call it more *unique,awesomely, Artistic work* . made from Japan...it's BEYOND different then "american cartoons"...in many different ways....as the days and years past, we were like *YAY* *jumping with joy* it was part of our life, and then started to draw anime too...pretty cool...well, after all those years, our family guess got use to it and started watching it with us....so they now like it and especailly my sisters the ones that judge too harsh with things, got them to love "Saiyuki"....and more funny anime...it's pretty cool when you get people into anime just like you...but other than that don't give up *ANIME* cause honestly who wouldn't want to live without it.....I think your life just might be *boring*...I can't live without it to tell you the truth...but *shurgs* don't know if all of you guys agree with me...people are different you know?....so just a little advice from me to you....think about it before truly decieing on what you really want to do...and it's very hard to please a lot of people....but don't regret on your choice, hey we are still so young!!!! So just have fun and have a great time with OUR anime films....

 

Whoever heard of giving up anime? It doesn't matter what other people think, including your parents. Your entitled to want you want to watch, so I say, watch it. Besides, anime is the best thing that has happened in this country.:anime:

it doesn't matter how old you are and your still watching anime. I'm Fourteen and in high school. I don't tell anyone at school but my family knows, and they don't care

 

Do not give up. Never be afraid to enjoy something. If people are afraid nothing would ever come about.

 

I get that all the time! Just don't let it bother you.

Or you could tell them "it's a specific style of art I'm fond of, is there a problem?" Sometimes that works.

I think we've all been teased atleast once in our life for watching anime, it's just something you need to deal with.

I don't think this should be a reason to stop watching animes. When I was teased that it's childish, I always told my family/relatives/friends the most bloody parts of my fave animes (Dragonball Z and Inuyasha most of the times), and the horrified faces were enough revenge for me. Don't worry, they'll get used to it! And teasing is just as childish as watching cartoons. Cartoons! Not animes! Animes are coool
