I'll have to look harder...but is it truly a change of clothes, or a case of animators coloring things the wrong way without knowing it...?

I know I hated when there'd be short scenes in Ninja Turtles where they'd have the wrong color bandana...

    Re: re: German and necklines

Yep, that it does. Over-man (or superior man) in the sense of Human. Mensch pretty much translates as person/human. But, since it is a (false?)cognate, and since in english we often use "man" for human, it gets translated a lot as man.

    That's my take anyway.

Thanks for the German tips, Mamiya.

Hey, speaking of Mamiya, don't you and I have a score to settle in the miscellaneous forum?

That jacket was adorable. But why the heck was he wearing it?

Oh! Do you mean last ep of J to X?? *mild spoiler* I certainly thought the change in costume for Hanako was quite strikely, what with the red jacket and a bow for his long hair ^_^ Great change and stuff!

However, in the 5 episodes of J to X that I have with me now, Hana's sweet neck is always covered.... unless it's episode 2 which he spends wearing very little...

    OH and yes

Special item is translated in the dub as "special item". But it seems to lose something in the non-translation.

Here's another couple (of oddities, you hentais!) that I noticed:

In SMJ ep. 7,Otaru asks Lime to lift up the dresser/altar,where Otaru finds the last bit of money in the house. When we cut back to Lime as Otaru says "The gods haven't forsaken me," she is no longer holding up the dresser/altar - where did it go? and why didn't it fall on Otaru's head when Lime let go of it?

In J Again ep. 5,when Marine awakens (right before she reactivates Tiger),it looks like she's putting her vest/jacket/whatever on backwards...

    InuYasha - blah...

Also, in some sequences, Hanagata is wandering outside without his shoes on. I've yet to figure out why.

    J to X ep. 2:
Otaru gives Lime cotton candy to eat, then says "Get's go home. Everyone's waiting." After Lime's closing line as they walk away from the shrine,it looks like she's holding a little fan instead of cotton candy.

On another note...has anyone noticed just how ineffectual the Kikka Sabers are? They're supposed to be an improvement on the Oka Sabers, and yet in their first combat trial, they're easily defeated (to be fair, their opponents were the Saber Dolls, but still...) and in every battle scene since then, they've been nothing more than chew toys for enemy sabers....

I've noticed that, too, Inu. yes, Japoness' sabers are pretty paltry when it comes to defense. Kind of makes you wonder if Baiko and Tamasaburo and their espionage skills aren't the only things making Japoness a super power to rival Gartlant.

However, as the Orange Blossoms were"improving", Gartland got stronger weapons every time. :catgirl:

I assume you're referring to the Kreager III's,right? They don't even appear until J to X ep. 4 (and never again after that,IIRC),and even then, one of the Saber Dolls (Tiger or Luchs) says that they weren't made for fighting. Besides,Gartlant isn't the only country to have sent sabers to Japoness for less than nice purposes (e.g., New Texas and the MESCALs).

In the 1st episode of J, the Kreager lll seems to only be scanning everyone as a spy, and nothing more. And only fires when they need to defend themselfs. They probably weren't for fighting.
