How evil some people can be. These guys buy X-BOX's and X-BOX 360's just so they can totally destroy them. They waste money on something they're gonna keep for, what seems like not even 5 min. So sad...

One of the videos shows two guys who waited in line for 55 hours to get a 360. They bought it, took it out of it's box inside the Best Buy, bought a sledge hammer (they sell those at Best Buy?), took it outside, and smashed it into pieces. What a waste of money. What do you think?

The sad thing to me is that people actually donated money to this website so that they could keep buying X-BOX's and continue smashing them. I think the whole site is either a.) made up of PS2 lovers, or b.) made up of a bunch of rednecks looking for cheap laughs by smashing expensive hardware. I think this site proves just how stupid some people can be sometimes huh?

This + a lot of Xbox 360's appearing on Ebay = a shot to the pride for Microsoft.

Can't wait for the atomic explosions that are gonna be caused by the SmashMyPS3 that I know they're gonna do.

I'll watch it for the destruction part, not for the destruction of the Revolution part.

I just finished watching the movie. They got the sledge hammer from a nearby Home Depot. But the movie also addressed some of those glitches you've been hearing about. The Best Buy people put a DVD in and watched it and the DVD came out completely scratched aftwards. And when they trying to play a game on it for the first time, it froze. They assumed it was a one time thing, but it froze the next time, too.

Edit: Also I find it amusing how EVERY Xbox fanboy had a PSP when Sony is the main rival to Microsoft in the video game industry. They could at least go for a more nuetral handheld like the DS or the N-Gage.

Question: Why are there sides to each console war?

I'll be damn surprised if the PS3 came out with no bugs at all whatsoever. As far as puttng them on eBay...people see the R.O.I. of the Xbox. Invest 500 at the store...get 700 on ebay. Easy.

I don't think M$ cares, since they're losing money every console sold, *anyway*.

It wasn't their money. It was all donated by people supporting the idea.

Is the Revolution even worth smashing? :p

Pretty fragile system if it can't stand up to a little sledgehammer, I wonder how Microsoft expects them to survive in today's rugged gamer pad? :D

I wouldn't do it, but I enjoyed watching it. :D

Tell me a system that can stand up to a full force hit from a sledge hammer without a scratch.

More worth it than the 360. They'd destroyed an already broken system.

Although the idea sounds preety funny, it's a good waste of 400 bucks. I still think the PS3's not worth smashing, since one day, it's gonna play the beautiful remake of Final Fantasy VII!

people are being mugged and shot for stupid consols. that's the crap i don't condone. it's a freaking toy! love of god, it is not worth killing someone over. (pheonix on that one. minot, nd for a mugging)

i have no probs with the console wars, and people breaking them. i have issues though when a manufactuer won't keep up with demand, especially when they knew it was going to sell fast and be big. and they promised the retailers too that this wasn't going to be an issue with this launch either. >.> -stabs microsoft right in the gates-

Oh please, this was the marketing strategy all along. This is how they increase the hype for thier system. By releasing only a few at a time they wean the public into thier system. Those who have it drive those who dont crazy with jelousy, making thier product that much more desirable, increasing their overall sales.

The PS3 will be the same way. The Revolution is a toss up. Nintendo isn't the powerhouse it once was so that ploy would only work if they release the Rev with a killer app that blows the PS3 and 360 out of the water.

I stab Microsoft along side ya. There's no way in hell I would pay anything over 250 for any game system. Not unless the PS3 releases with a revamped version of FF VII. In which case I would shell out over 500 bucks easy.

Hey... It's all about the games, right?

The GCN's built like a tank. That's pretty funny. Now if only it had a few more games worth playing under its belt it'd be set.
