How was it lame? System malfunction? Disc scratching? When I got my X-BOX it was fine, and has been alright since then, except for the occasional "Your X-BOX can't recognize this disc." I get that on my PS2 sometimes also. Oh well, hopefully all will be well when I get my 360 come this Christmas.

It's the design, no the designer. Something's messed up with the system, juxt like something was messed up with the God of War game. Sound familiar. But truthfully, don't smash the thing. Take it back and work on it.

Well I never got this cant read your disc on my PS2.. But when i say lame the couple games i played with a buddy were boring.. I did not like Halo.. I am a fan of first person shooters but not on a consol.. and the Xbox controlers turned me off right away... But i look at all the games that came out on it.. and frankly there is nothing i really ever want to play..

My old PS2 was a total piece of crap. Seriously. The thing wouldn't read any of my games, not even new ones! I was totally ticked, then I got a new PS2 and played it for about half a year, then I got X-BOX. Now, I barely touch my PS2 unless I want to play my younger brother in Madden '06. And now with my 360 arriving in 5 days, well, bye bye PS2. For a very, very long time.

I have had my ps2 for 4 years now.. never once have i had a problem of any sort.. My older brother also has one.. Never had a problem on his either..
Now the both of us are very carefull with our cd's. We never let them get even the smallest of scratches which normaly will cause problems on any cd/dvd device..

but like i said i have zero interest in the xbox or the xbox 360..

I'm pretty sure I had a pretty defective PS2. Like I said, it wouldn't even read new discs. Very annoying. It just sits in my basement now, gathering dust, while my new PS2 is running better than ever. my brother and friends are terrible at putting our games back, which is annoying becuase they do get scratched. Severley. That's obviously the casue of some problems, but I tell them and they don't listen. 'Tis a shame really.

EDIT: I actually touched a 360 controller today. It was sexy.

Don't get too excited now, lol. I've never really had a problem with my ps2, except the logo thing on the disc insertion broke off *oops*.

o_O You're too hardcore gamer for me to understand if you got...

Anyway, science can solve this! :D

Situation: I dropped my PS2 and it cost $92 to repair before it would work at all. I dropped my SNES and it worked fine without any problems.

Hypothesis: Video game systems aren't made as durable as they used to be.

Conclusion: The X-Box 360 would break if you tickled it with a feather.

Not neccessarily. Look at that movie Baphijimm posted on page two. That person dropped a gamecube from like 10 to 15 feet high and it still worked. And then there's the sledgehammer hit and weight drop it survived as well. Xbox did better than the PS2 in those tests, at least.

I'm gonna hate to see what kinda bugs the PS3 will have.

......well actually, I think I'm going to *love* to see them!

I bet I would laugh if someone tickeled me with a feather. On second thought, forget I said that. Really. A 360 would break if it was smashed by a sledgehammer, as depicted in my first post.

I had a friend like that at one point. Couldn't get him to leave either. Man he sure did love Zelda. Just about anything plastic would be broken by a sledgehammer. The things not invincible.

Ragnarok... You disturb me on so many levels. :D

If you don't have any consoles, why don't you just go buy one? You'll hit me with your answer in your next post, I'm guessing.
