    Can you count FMA as a little bit violent?? I mean after the very first alchemy the two brothers did after the death of their mother freaked me out.. maybe because I didn't expected it..
    What about when this human eater, gluttoney? When he ate someone for the first time it freaked me out as well.. but I guess I can't add FMA in the most violent anime.

    Definitely Hellsing and Akira. And I agree with Zanza on FMA...those first few scenes aren't for the weak of heart.

    The most violent anime that I have seen is Elfen Lied, almost every episode contains violence, rivers of blood, cut off extremities everywhere... but in spite of everything, it was interesting, I like it.

    I remember seeing Fist of the North star....I swear it was like oceans of blood lol


    And berserk....Violence in every episode...always finding a way to put blood there and violence.

    The most violent anime I've seen was that small clip in ambetanterik's link (that was just plain disturbing). But since that probably doesn't count, I think the most violent anime I've seen is Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal (the Director's Cut). I don't really mind it though, since the tone of the movie is so sad I just take it as emphasis on Kenshin's tragic life. I think I've seen anime with parts that are more violent than that, but none with violence like that throughout.

    Theres a scene on Violance Jack that i always remember of being the most violant that i've ever seen, it probably has something to do with that guy that gets cut in half and everything inside falls out... use your imagination.

    Demon City Shinjuku was pretty violent. For me, Akira was kind of gross.

    for me there are some scenes from the samurai x OVA where Hiko Seijurō XIII sliced that swordsman into tiny bits and when they showed the fight agains his futures wife's husband to be. but other than that hellsing has the most gore in it total. thats why i like those shows! :D

    Just saw APOCALYPSE ZERO, defenatly aint the best i saw but thats the goryest most voilent one for me now. :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :D

    Honestly, I haven't seen any "violent" Animes ever, but my friends keep talking about how blood and gore are present in Ninja Scroll and Berserk. >> And from what I've heard, I would never so much as take a peak of these two in the future.

    I saw Angel Cop awhile back, and that bit with the torturing of the prisoner....What was the disease virus they unleashed on him? I mean...His arm was disgusting!

    Gonna have to go with either Elfen Leid or unedited Gantz, though I'm leaning towards Gantz. I mean, these two kids get hit by a train in the first 15 minutes, and they animated most every detail of it, including their heads rolling around the platform.

    The most violent gory scene i remember seen in anime is Ghost In The Shell movie, where that politician (?) gets blown away in 1 of the 1st scenes.

    Bleach can be pretty gory da ne?

    the most nasty movie ive ever seen (its not anime but its Japanese) is オーディション
    (The Audition). that is really nasty. Had to leave the room , which is unusual for me.
