Unknown anime that I enjoy? Do you mean in M2A or just in general?

    Well...let's see...

M2A: Kimagure Orange Road TV Series (Well, I say that because it was popular enough to run about 50 some episodes in Japan...), GoldenBoy, Video Girl Ai, Sakura Diaries, Angel Sancutary...

General: Video Girl Ai, Angel Sanctuary, GoldenBoy...

I generally trend to those not many people watch, but people who know about it think very highly of. Well, not GoldenBoy, I'm just perverted that way....

Actually, GTO and Goldenboy are pretty well known in the anime club I'm with . . .

Anyway, even though this is considered a classic of anime, there are so many anime fans I know that haven't seen or even heard of it: Wings of Honneamise. It's a shame how many people haven't seen this wonderful work of film.

Haibane Renmei is also a favorite of mine, but it isn't even out in the States yet, so I don't expect many people to know about it/have seen it (like Detective Conan, Full Moon no Wagashite, etc.).

Some other favorites that haven't been released in the States yet: Hana Yori Dango, Memories, Millenium Actress. Luckily, all of these will be coming out in the near future!

Well, I guess it would really depend on how you're classifying "little known." See, there are a lot of series that I absolutely love which some people have never heard of, but other people have. Of course, a lot of the series that have been listed here are like that (I need to see more Full Moon o Sagashite, Detective Conan, and Hikaru no Go, and I loved 3x3 Eyes and Eatman '98).

So, as far as little known/not very popular series go....I'd have to say Shamanic Princess, Nurse Angel Ririka SOS, GetBackers, and Rose of Versailles are high on my list. This is the "in general" type list. As for series that aren't really mentioned here at M2A....

Saiyuki would probably have to be the big one, followed by Matantei Loki Ragnarok.

I've got to say this but most of the animes you mentioned are popular or are well known. My favorites are forgotten anime that no one appreciate like:
    -Tokemeki Tonight
    -Lady Lady
    -Rose of Versailles
    -Iga no Kabamaru
    -Alpine Rose

I'm going to mention an anime that was popular back in the day when the only way to get good anime was bootlegged VHS tapes at sci-fi cons.

    Fist of the North Star.

I was only able to get ahold of the movie version back then, and it's always had a special place in my heart. And exploding heads and the line "You're already dead. You just don't know it yet." was an inside joke in my group of friends for YEARS before the current anime explosion.

I would have to say The Guyver. I have the whole set on VHS and am thinking about changing over to DVD.

    Definately a good watch storyline.
