Anime Worst dubbing ever?

Talent is out there but talent doesn't show up for the auditions!

If they're the only people that show up for auditions, you HAVE to choose somebody, even if they may not fit the role according to the fans. That's just the way it is. You cna't wait for the perfect voice actor to show up.

 

the worst? i'd have to say Card Captor Sakura, they totally messed up EVERYTHING from the names to the relationships to the voices, it annoyed the heck out of me. the names should have been kept as the originals for starters, they live in JAPAN, why woudl they have english names. the relationships anoyed me most, meiling was supossed to be syaoran's cousin whom he is supossed to marry in the future if he doesn't find someone he loves, not some random childhood friend who is obsessed with him, chiharu and yamazaki were NOT supossed to be be cousins, but two close friends who end up in love with each other, yukito and touya....i'm not even going to start on that one, and all of the Sakura/Syaoran moments the cut nearly made me cry. now the voices, it was mainly sakura's and tomoyo's taht annoyed me, sakura was supossed to sound soft sweet and innocent like she was in the original jap version, what did we get? someone very strong and loud sounding, tomoyo was also supossed to sound sweet and innocent, but ended up sounding like a valley girl. they also cut out so many things it was fustraiting to keep up, plus it wasn't even aired in order

 

Almost the all dubs that I've heard are 'okay', except for the Spanish dub of Saber Marionette Again, that is just terrible. Shinryu has told me that the English version is worse so I can't imagine it.

 

i cant say what is the worst. hearing the seiyuu do their thing is a big part of what i enjoy out of anime. i just can't listen to any dub, ugh.

 

Quite frankly...for the first time ever, I liked the dubbed version of Gokudo no Manyuki better than the subbed version. I listened to both versions on the DVD and the guy who did the English voice for Gokudo was definately enthusiastic, it didn't sound like the Japanese seiyuu was at all really. I think the worst dubbing, I mean mutilation was when they dubbed Sailor Moon XXD and Card Captor Sakura.

 

Saiyuki has the funniest Dubs I have *ever* heard XD

 

The absolute worst dubbing i've heard is Digimon. The japanesee ad Spanish versions are really good, but the english one is umm.....masacered, yeah, that's it. I mean, they even change the songs of the intro's and stuff.

I love the voice actor Tomokazu Seki, so any anime that he's in that's been dubbed makes me cry. Gravitation, Weiß Kreuz, among many others. The 80's dub of Dragon ball is pretty corney too. Then again, so is the current dubbing. Poor Trunks..

 

Personally, I'd have to say AnimEigo's early dubs, such as BAOH and... (shudder) their appalling treatment of the original Bubblegum Crisis... are probably the two worst dubs I've ever heard.

When I started watching anime, there was no such thing as a "good" dub.

Feel lucky you poor anime, that's gotta be the first time I've ever mentioned your name, and probably the last, unless someone's gotta be dissed

But in all honesty, this is the worst DUB I've ever heard. Here's my thoughts to the company that dubbed this;

Voice Actors-I won't blame you all the way, you're just doing your job, but come on, try to pull it along!

Voice Director-Needs to die

Script Director-Needs to be anihilated

The dude that allowed this to be aired-Talk to the script director in the not so happy place of the afterlife

The company that Dubbed this-If you DUB like this, just do yourselves a favour, and just close up, and leave, go home, and let GOOD companies DUB Anime.

Cartoon Network-You're only forgiven for carrying FullMetal Alchemist, but I'll be watching you with Bleach.....XD

THAT'S how much it sucks, and you all know that I'm not a dub hater

does anyone follow along with me, saying that Yurika out of Nadesico, sounded alot like Serena outta sailor moon??? to high pitched.... best ever dubbed is Samurai Champloo.... (L) mugen (L)

 

The american Version of One Piece OMG the ruind the theme song to make it sound like crap now its like a rap or some thing it like is terible and at some parts loofy sounds like a girl

 

Sailormoon they changed to much.
