"Then it is settled," Beet said. He nodded at the group. He brought the Cyclone Gunner and sent blasts at Itachi. He took a deep breath reloading the gun again.

Itachi was throwing shriken at scalps making them fall short of him. When the blasts came at him, he had to run to avoid them. 'Another power I can't copy,' Itachi thought. 'Who are these people?' His speed had increased monumentally. He brought his hands up making quick symbols with them.

Black flames appeared all around them. Beet used the gun to blast at the flames. They quickly melted. And all around them the ground started to melt too. Anything in its path was destroyed. Beet did a back flip in order to avoid them. For even one touch was deadly. It was as if the flames were as hot as the sun. Itachi had cast Amaterasu (Shining Heaven).

A sweat drop appeared on Beets forehead. He didn’t know what to do. These flames were in tense. Even with the Crowning Shield he was afraid that it wouldn’t be enough. He looked to the others. “Got any water or ice techniques?”

 

Kenshin looked around him as the flames came. Kenshin spoted Shishio circling the flames on the outside as Shishio looked at each person. Kenshin jumped over the flames and ran toward Shishio as his back was turned. Kenshin drew his sword against Shishio but Shishio brough his left hand again to stop Kenshin's blade.

"You need another plan," said Shishio as he lit up flames with his sword and started slashing at Kenshin as he blocked Shishio's attack.

 

"I am going to extinguish your flames," Beet called. He made Excellion Blade disappear. ‘Change of plains,’ he thought. He brought his hand up and the light once again appeared. He called out Crowning Shield. He held it up. But the flames had reached his feet. He ended up doing a back flip and landed on his feet to avoid them.

The Crowning shield started to glow. He was going to use a special technique. The black flames from the ground floated in the air. “Ginji, hit the blast with your electricity,” Beet said. “Akabane throw scalps at both Triad members. Ban and Kenshin do your best to keep them busy.”

Itachi sent out more shriken at Beet. The hit against the shield and bounced off. The Crowning Shield sent a blast at the flames. It need the final touch to extinguish them.

 

" From what i know of no we dont have any one here that can use water or wind" Akabane repleid dodgeing a shurkin

 

Kenshin and Shishio swung their swords at each other at incredible speed as they were just mere blurs to everyone else.

"Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu.......Ryu So Sen (Dragon Nest's strike)!!!"

Kenshin gripped the handle of his sword with both hands and suddenly swung his sword many times from many different directions all at once. Shishio, however, blocked every single one of his attacks.

"Is this all?!" shouted Shishio as he swung his sword at Kenshin again. Kenshin blocked Shishio's attacks well until Shishio went faster and slashed Kenshin three times, twice across the chest and once on his left leg. Shishio then grabbed Kenshin by his shirt with his left hand and lifted Kenshin off the ground. "Feh! You really disppoint me, Battousai," said Shishio. "You fell against my first secret blow, Homura Dama (Burning Soul)." Shishio moved the tip of his sword in his right hand to his left gaunlet. "Now you'll again fall to my second secret!"

Shishio lit a flame from his sword by slashing the tip of his sword against his gaunlet. A sudden powerful explosion came out of his left gaunlet.

"Guren Kaina (Arm of crimson-flame)!!"

Kenshin was hit by the explosion as he fell to the ground as his chest was burned and part of his shirt gone. Kenshin's eyes were closed as he lay there on the ground and Shishio smiled as he turned his head toward Beet. <A shield?> thought Shishio as he gazed at the sudden blast that came from Beet's shield. <This is interesting.>

 

As Beet held the shield in the air the flames also floated. He saw Kenshin on the ground. But he first had to deal with this problem. The shield started to glow. He nodded at Ginji. Ginji started to charge himself up.

The glowing Crowning Shield hung in his arms. He had tucked the Cyclone Gunner as good as it could have in the rim of his pants. He needed both hands to use the full power of the shield. He planted his feet. The Crowning Shield finally let out a powerful blast of water that was naked to the human eye. The water made the flames flicker.

The flames didn't die as Beet had thought. Ginji used his electricity. It hit with Beets attack. Finally the black hell flames flickered one last time and died.

Beet looked to the others. His forehead was covered with sweat. He shifted Crowning Shield to one hand and pulled out Cyclone Guner. As he did a three more shuriken were sent at him.

The four points of the ninja star spun in the air. They sailed at Beet trying to inflict contact. Beet used Crowning shield to block them. They bounced of the shield and fell to the sandy ground.

Beet took a deep breath. He faced Cyclone Gunner at Shishio. He pumped the trigger. Six shorts fired upon Shishio. He hoped that this would deter him from advancing on the still Kenshin until others could help. It was his fault for pulling Ginji away from Kenshin. He had to do something to protect his new friend.

Beet now turned to Itachi. He took another deep breath of air. He could feel Cyclone Gunner recharge in his hand. He returned an attack by pumping the trigger. The same familiar six shots fired upon Itachi.

Itachi used a kunai. A kunai is the ninja knife. It consists of a balanced blade with a thin handle, making it good for both throwing and hand-to-hand combat. He prevented three of the blasts from hitting. He had to do a back flip and spring off of his left hand to avoid the others.

Itachi watched as Beet took another deep breath. ’How does that thing work?’ he thought. ‘For once my eyes are useless. No matter I will just have to use that.’ An evil plot formed inside Itachi’s head. He was a powerful ninja.

Beet was using the air to charge the Cyclone Gunner. It had an infinite number of bolts this way. All of a sudden Beet had a strange feeling. He sent another six shots at Itachi. His plan for Itachi and Shishio worked. They were now closer to each other.

He took another deep breath. This time he charged the Cyclone Gunner. “EVERYONE,” he called. “It is almost time to leave.” After the Cyclone Gunner was charged Beet sent a powerful blast at the Triad. Beet could feel the small object in his pocket vibrate. They had only five seconds left.

 

Shishio evaded the shots easily. Shishi watched every movement of Beet that he made, his breathing, the firing of the gun and everything else. Shishio, like Kenshin, is able to register his opponent's techniques, analyze their strengths and weaknesses, and then take advantage of them. <So, that gun of his uses air and that boy has an unlimited supply of it. But even if it does have an unlimited supply, it seems to only be able to go in a straight line,> thought Shishio as he came up to Beet instantly. Shishio didn't think at first that Beet then targeted the gun at him and Itachi. But when Beet did fire, Shishio evaded the attack by a hair. <That was close!> thought Shishio he looked back toward Beet but looked toward his left as he saw Kenshin standing there. By the time he looked at Kenshin, it was too late.

"Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu.......Kuzu Ryu Sen (Nine headed dragon)!!!"

Kenshin launched nine instant strikes at Shishio and all nine hit, sending Shishio speeding backwards, right toward Itachi and back into the path of the shot made by Beet. Kenshin disappeared and reappeared next to Beet.

"Beet-san!!" said Kenshin, as he held out his left hand.

 

Itachi heard the device ding from somewhere. Beet had already taken another deep breath. He couldn't tell from where the sound came from cause they were all near each other. 'So that is how he does it. The bullets come from him being in tune with the gun,' Itachi thought. 'These people are actually a little interesting. Heh. No matter soon we will... He couldn't finish his thoughts for he had to avoid the oncoming shots of power.

Beet blasted another powerful shot from Cyclone Gunner at the Triad. He felt the others do the same. They should have been distracted. His shot covered up him pulling out the device and presses the red button. He had made Crowning Shield return to inside his heart in order to handle the powerful blast.

A vortex now appeared before them. "Akabane, we need clearance. Ginji and Ban do what you can. They should also soon follow." He looked to Kenshin and took his hand. "Your badly injured. Let's proceed."

 

" right" akabane replied throwing more scaples at itaci and Shishio

" ginji now" ban repleid

Ginji slowly held out his hands adn lightining filled the sky adn a bright light was seen cover ing the palce blinding both itachi and Shishio

akabane quickly took off behind beet and kenshin but was still watching behind him justin case tey came after them

 

"So they left," Itachi said. He pulled out the Time X and pressed the button. "You can kill what you want but the portal will close shortly." He informed Shishio. He disappeared inside the vortex.

Beet had helped Kenshin cross over. He watched as Akabane joined them. The vortex closed.

A heavy sadness covered his heart. He felt that it was his fault that Kenshin was hurt badly. If he hadn't have made that promise to never cry again today would have been a good day to start. He sighed. “I am sorry for failing you guys as a leader. Maybe I shouldn't be..." His voice trailed off he looked to Kenshin and at the scene around him.

The group currentily was resting in a desert of sorts. They rested on top of a plateau. It over looked a great valley. This place appeared to be a wasteland. A path with in the valley led to either a rock formation or a town. From here Beet couldn’t tell. But it still looked peaceful and wonderful.

Beet looked at Kenshin. There was no time for his sadness. He needed to help him. “Kenshin can you move? Here may not be the best place for your wounds. We need to clean them.”

 

Shishio had landed alright on the ground but then followed after Itachi and went into the vortex before it closed. <Damn, I need to get me one of those things,> thought Shishio.

Kenshin sheathed his sword as he looked around himself.

"I am sorry for failing you guys as a leader. Maybe I shouldn't be..." started Beet.

"Beet-san," said Kenshin as he looked over at Beet. "This one doesn't expect you to be a perfect leader. Sometimes, you make mistakes but you learn from them and then move on from there. You don't have to have everything on your shoulders, sometimes, you need to share it with others. This one has been down that road before, and sometimes you need to just share your responsibility with others. This one knew he would get hurt but this one will do what he does best, and that is to help others." Kenshin looked back toward the land before them but turned back as Beet spoke again.

"Kenshin can you move? Here may not be the best place for your wounds. We need to clean them."

"Yes, this one can move. This one has faced Shishio before in battle and battle is what this one is use to. Cleaning these wounds is best, but first, we need to find out where we are before taking any more steps to places we know nothing about. Plus, we need to find out what is wrong with this world and the time we have to place it back where it belongs," said Kenshin as he looked over at Beet.

 

Beet nodded at Kenshin’s words. He agreed with him completely. It made him feel a little better. He pulled out DTM. “It appears that our time here is wearing thin.” Beet pressed the Pi button. A three-d image displayed. The map showed them the direction to get the best reception for the device. They had to walk towards the town. He looked to the group. “We only have a half an hour...”

Itachi and Shishio were inside a town. There were in what would be called the Town Square. He watched as the large group of people walked across the square. The square itself was surrounded by grey buildings. In the middle rested a statue incased in chains. He glanced at the Time X. “We have thirty minutes. Shall we…” Itachi allowed his question to trial off. He figured Shishio would be up for some mayhem.

 

(OOC: I made a little mistake about what Kenshin was saying :sweat:. It was about the perfect leader thing so please read it again. And what world are we in now? I've never heard of Town Square.)

"ORO?!" said Kenshin, surprised. He sighed and his head leaned forward little. He looked back up, smiling. "This is going to be hard. The town would be a first guess to go to," said Kenshin as he looked toward the town.

"Let's," said Shishio as he looked over at Itachi. Shishio reached into his robe and pulled out another gaunlet. He put it on his left hand, the one that exploded and held his sword out with his right hand.

 

" My only thirty minuets short amount of time but as long as i can have some fun it will be worth it" Akabane replied replied looking at beet

" Well tehn kenshin kun shall we be off then" akabane replied looking down a road

 

"Yes, let's go," Beet said. He gave his comrades a big dopey smile. He laughed and rubbed the back of his head. It was great having friends on this journey. They walked together towards the town.

"We will work as a team together. We will all share the reasponsibilities of leadership that is the only way we can beat the Triad." He cuffed his hand under his chin in thought. "Should we switch off on who carries the device?" He paused for a moment. "It would make it harder for the Triad to tell. They would diffentily go after whomever carries the DTM." He sighed. "Ah, I don't know."

Itachi pulled up his hands holding a few shriken and the same amount of kunai. He could test his skill here even more. He wasn't one for meaningless slaughter but here he could test his skill in a different condition. It also could bring tougher fighters and the holders of the DTM. For him it was a win win situation.

As he was ready to throw the weapons he felt a dark presence. 'Interesting,' he thought. It was very dark Shishio should have been able to feel it. He threw the shriken and kunai at the crowd. Each one struck a vital spot. The people fell over dead. Those who saw it didn't understand what was going on. They just stood there giving Shishio a chance.

[ooc]- Read it. A town square is supposed to be the middle of the town (mine isn't). It is a place where people can gather. There could be a large fountain or statue there. It's supposed to be open and allows for large gathering. You will remember this one.

 

(OOC: I know what it is, I just though you were naming it because you had it capitalized)

"Yes," said Kenshin, answering Akabane's question. Kenshin followed Beet and and Akabane as we moved on to the city.

Shishio disappeared and slashed through the crowds many times before bodies turned into flames. Shishio too had felt the dark presence and would keep his guard up until it went away. Those not burned or dead on the ground by Shishio were in clear view of Itachi, giving him a chance.

 

Itachi moved forward in the crowd striking those that were missed. A large pile of bodies started to build up. He could feel the dark force which was now closer. He stoped in his actions.

He looked up. His eyes gazed upon a man sitting in the middle of the town square. He rested against the statue there. This was the man with the dark force. He could feel it.

The man had long hair which looked like the moonlight. He wore a long black trench coat. He had metal shoulder plates on. By his side was a sword.

Itachi felt something tingle in his pocket. 'So he is one of us? Heh,' He thought. He moved forward. Stepping enough for the man to see him clearily. He pulled back the cloak that covered his right shoulder showing the Triad mark upon his body. He let go of the cloak and it slid back into place. "Speak your name?" He finally said to the new comer.

The group of heros neared the town. Within the limits they could hear screaming. "Could it be the Triad?" Beet asked.

 

Kenshin heard the screaming and feared the worst as he suddenly ran toward the town, leaving the others behind. Kenshin came up to the square and found many bodies everywhere. He looked and spoted Shishio.

Shishio had stood straight up and looked over at the new comer that had appeared. <So that's where the presense was from,> thought Shishio as he looked over and saw Kenshin standing there. Shishio just smiled as he stepped forward toward Kenshin once. <He has gotten stronger since I last fought him,> thought Shishio as he looked at Kenshin. <He got up faster than I thought he would be.> Shishio turned toward the new comer and waited for his name before he started fighting Kenshin again.

Kenshin just glared at Shishio as his left hand held his sword and seemed ready to fight against Shishio again. Kenshin held his position there as Shishio turned away from him. Kenshin then felt the dark presense near by and looked over at the statue toward the new man there that seemed to have the dark presense. <That sword...> thought Kenshin as he looked at the sword that the man held. <That is no ordinary sword!> thought Kenshin grimly.

 

"WAIT Kenshin," Beet cried. He looked back at Akabane then he ran off after Kenshin. He arrived shortly in the town square after Kenshin had. "Kenshin?" Beet asked.

Beet looked around and could see bodies. 'This is horrible,' Beet thought. Anger started to build up inside him. These people were worse then his enemies the Vandels. Vandels are demons in Beets world who treat humanity as bugs. They squash them whenever it pleases them. But never as bad as this. "Why? How could you?" He asked.

"To test my skill," Itachi replied. He looked back at the new Triad member ignoring those who had joined them. He waited for him to answer his question.

OOC- Oh I think sometimes direct places are capitalized then I got bored of doing it for the town square.

 

" You are indeed quite skilled itachi kun" akabane replied as he appeared behind beet ." WE both seemd to be about the same" akabane replied givieg a smile

" Kenshin kun are you able to fight in yur current condition"
akabane replied bring up his han dand four s`caples appeared in it and h etook one step forward. But he soon stopped when he saw the man by the statue.
