Anime being an anime fan

alright, i know i wasnt exactly staying on the same SUBJEC the whole time, but i guess what im trying to say is that being an anime fan doesnt always mean you're a loner. you can be a loner, and like anime, but those two dont have anything to do with each other. i mean, come on, we cant all be loners if we're arguing with one another about it! *hugs everyone* we should all just love each other! lets not fight over defintions!

kinda pathetic, i think. i dont know if any of you are my friends, since i annoying and post at any time i can. *lowers head in shame* Ill try to work on that. sorry, guys.

If this conversation is still going on, I have some stuff to say.
At school, I only have one friend in my class that likes Anime. There are also two kids in the next grade who like anime too. We spend a lit of time together talking about Anime and stuff, but I prefer that to the stuff that the "popular" kids do like shopping for clothes. I guess Im not that kind of person.

At camp, there are so many kids who like anime. Yugioh cards were banned so noone would drop them in the lake. People who dont like Anime feel left out, not the other way around. I love camp its so cool.

Actually, it all depends on the situation. Anyone could be unfriendly if they didnt share intrests with anyone. Its just that anime isnt a widely liked topic. (Notice I said widely liked not widely known. Its widely known and widely hated where I live)

 

Like I said, I'm a loner at heart. It's just the way I am.
I don't have any friends because they either moved away or stabbed me in the back (whichi is rather painful). Still, none of the friends I used to have knew nor liked anime.
We anime fans; we're special. We're not the normal everyday person. We're different. I like that. I like being sort of another breed of human being. It just get frustrating when no one you know (or used to know in my case) likes anime.

some of u may say "i like being a loner." and so forth, but really, no one like to be alone, do they? no one.
u can never not enjoy human company. if u say u dont, well, two words BULL ****. no one can be happy being alone.
thats why old people get dogs. that why kids have plush toys that they sleep with. thats why, even u, Zeon_Zum_Deikun, needs chat. cause, even though that is not, ful-on human contact, it is some kind of human contact.

anime has nothing to do with the way u act, they way u talk. it is you that is making yourself a loner, not ANIME.
i love anime, but am i a loner? no. i am not. i have friends. lots of them.
so it is not anime.

You're a loner at heart. You're not a loner at heart because you like anime! Even if you were born a skip/jock/westerner or wtv and you knew nothing about anime, you would still be a loner! Please don't make generalisations. There are plenty of anime fans here who have many friends and go to many parties or probably even host many social gatherings with people who have never and probably will never watch anime or read manga!

 

well i'm an anime fan and it's a lot of fun being one so i don't give a damn about people who says that anime is childish and if they laugh at me cz i know that they r the one loosing not me.....the lost of seing special anime stories with wonderfull characters that maybe possible to find in real life.......and about being loners,well i don't think so,but u gotta know with wich people to talk about anime,i talk about anime with the people who i feel that they can understand what i mean and they can share the happiness in watching anime,and well i have 10 friends that r anime fans and well i'm not a loner and it makes me feel great,no matter how much i get old,anime will always be one of the special things that i love.........

 

Ya! Anime fans rock! Woo-hooo! Alot of people think that anime is just kiddie shows... but who cares!? We rule!

 

Us Otakus, we have fun! More fun than most people, unwilling to give it a chance. A lot of people I know think anime is porn or kiddie shows!

I feel sorry for them, they will never see Duo punch Heero in the face.

For people who didn't know, since I was so kindly reminded not every knows what an otaku is:

If you come to school with an anime magazine, Most people say: Hahaha! That's Pokemon! No matter what it actually is. Some people think "anime" is just Pokemon and Digimon and the likes. People like that annoy me.

I think it has more to do with how much of a part Anime is in your life. If you've made it your entire life, then yes, without other anime fans you will probably be lonely. A painter who's life is art is not likely to have many non-painter friends, a car mechanic.. etc etc. It's all about moderation kiddos The larger an interest is in your life, the harder it is to interact meaningfully with people who do not share it.

I truely agree. I think anime has played too big of a part in my life that it has came to that point.

 

Most of my non-anime friends have gotten sucked into the anime world after a few episodes. ^_^ And those who remain are getting interested.
