Guns aren't much my style, I myself think there for winps(I'm not call those of you who would use a gun a winp). But if I had to use a gun, I agree with Fuuma on this one, Give me a Railgun.

ok ive made this point before and i wish to make it again...the sakabatou doesnt exist...never has and sword making techniques will never allow it...it will be a weak piece of junk that wont even be good as a prop for a convention. actully all cons now refuse to let anyone bring in metal weapons...bokkens are fine but not real swords...not even iaito...

and a 5 shaku sword would weigh between 10-15 pounds...now that may not seem heavy but when your locked in combat against another skilled martial artist the only thing something that long is good for is keeping them out of striking range...if they were to get inside your range instead of a aid your nodachi would just become a handicap...

My chosen weapon of choice the Lightsaber.

But since all my attempts at building one have failed, I would pick a halberd. You get the advantages of a staff with a nice blade on there too.

Okay your right, but in my mind I think it might be nice (but that just me).

And the 5 Shauku sword, I would most likeily not use it a real fight just for self practice.

And I would most likeily just use my bokken as well.

well even then its a very heavy weapon and more like a naginata than a sword...even in practice its uses are limited...swings almost always have to be either be horizontal or an overhead swing. and even then has to be in the formless stance, letting the sword follow the path that the sword would naturally take. either way very predictable...the no-dachi is a sword that is usually close to 6-7 feet long. often time very low quality usually using the "maru" temper style that being a single piece of low quality steel. although they were mostly just for intimidation perpouses there are surviving blades with battle marks.

I love staffs, they're so much fun. And of course, a katana/rapier are great. I also enjoy flails, though I find that my body is not the best time to wield one. Nunchaku are really fun, but overall, they're short range bothers me.

BOW AND ARROW! I'm surprised more people didn't say this, I get it's too old school. Today everybody wants a gun.
Archery is so much fun, and compound bows can REALLY do some damage. I don't I would go for any other weapon! Plus, you can run around in the woods and shoot things... (not animals.) They've kind of got a noble nature to them. Lastly, you can stand from a far distance if your good, and shoot. The target will never know what hit them. I'm sorry if I sound like a serial killer...

A sword. I'm not sure what kind, just a basic design. Strong steel and quite long. :)

I'd go the style of Ash a la the Evil Dead series. Chainsaw for an arm accompanied with a boomstick. :p Watch out, Deadites.

Anyways... I've always been partial to the bow and arrow, too. Archers are always fun. :D A slingshot would be fun, too. :p

I would choose a katana. It was the best sword ever made.
