Art Sketch Only Thread

Elven Warrior (by Chejo) I really like this one, came out really nice, especially with the background and all. Nice job though the hand/arm notching the arrow looks kind of strange or it could be that the angle of the bow and arrow might be off but then again it could be just my eyes (happens when y'only get like three hours of sleep ). Though otherwise, very good pic. I think that this one and the finished fanart you did of Rem's Gun Girl are definitely on top, can't decide between those two though.

Anyways, yeah, I used to be ArkAnjil almost two years ago then I swapped my name to ~ Zack ~ (because I got sick and tired of people gloating about how cool Cloud is so I decided that Zack, from FFVII (and my favorite character) deserved some praise ;P). A while back I had BMS delete me and then a couple months ago I joined back up because some people wanted me back and I missed them. ;P

scare: Thanks, Guy used to be one of my favorite characters to draw (probably because he was the only one that although I changed his look, I could get him to look the same). As he went through about four or five different hair-styles (his hair was always a silver with black-streak color). He started with thinned shoulder-length hair, then I let him grow out a bit more and he'd wear it into a pony-tail. Then he went into the short, cropped look that I portrayed in that picture and his last stage, he grew his hair back out down to his shoulders and wore it have in micro-braids, half-loose. (sometimes he'd put the back into a pony-tail). He was probably one of my favorite characters to role-play (besides my oldest character, Satou Jian) and Guy was also my first character I actually bothered to give a few piercings. Also my first cutter character. (Though including him I've only had five, out of a LOT of characters). If I find any more pics of I'm I'll try to get them on.

Yeah Ragnarok rules, I just think that little bit I notified wasn't quite in order with the mythology. If there will be a decent amount of new chapters available, I'll buy them too, I'm just too curious about what'll happen with Chaos and Skurai.
Just a shame I have to pay so much shipping costs (European), so it's better if I buy large amounts.

 

A new sketch from me, after a while of no updates, Its another elf, this one is much better than most of my art, think I am getting better, and I took your advice superfly with the pencils. Its not shaded but I am proud of it, again its another front pose but I was bored waiting for pages to load so I started sketching. ^_^. Thanks amon for the comments, and I like your deviant art gallery scare, also Ragnarok, I have heared of it and seen a bit of it, looks very cool, would like to pick it up someday.

Thanks for the comments Amon... though not too sure on the comment about the clothing, could anyone suggest what I could do to improve this I can't really see what is wrong.. apart from the left shoulder.

The weapon... yeah.. I think you could be right.. just wait I'll improve it.

Just kidding on the love part, but the elf is nice. Her expression is a bit emotionless though, that's a shame.
And the thumb isn't holding the staff, she's gotto be squeezing the staff pretty hard with those 4 fingers if she wants to manage holding it in her hand.

 

Well, let me rephrase it. Let me put it like this.

To me, it seems that the character is standing on a slight angle, so that his body is at an angle (IE not FACING as, completely), however, the split in the vest (coat? I don't know what it's supposed to be) is positioned in such a way to accomodate for someone as if they were facing the screen in a complete frontal view.

Of course after some thought and deliberation I could see how the garment is styled so that the split is more to the side and thus, the split would appear like that, so if that was how you meant for it to be, really sorry. ^^;;

And also, it could also just be me, I really don't know. Sorry.

 

There is no need to apologise, yes the split is a little to the character's left.. still not sure if that was deliberate though it was just how it turned out. I was bored of sitting staring making slight marks and then rubbing out so I just went for it to see how it would turn out.

Right now not much is deliberate as in me going.. aha that'll look good. It just kinda happens. And then I take a step back and judge. Thanks for the comments anyways... I will try improve it as best I can in order for it to be more obvious to the eyes.

I see there are a lot of elf fanciers here, my boyfriend hates elves because I have a legolas poster, anyway, I am glad you lik the elf, yeah I notaiced the thumb and the expresionless face, although I dont think its possible to rub out now. Anyway. Another sketch from me, remeber the gun girl you all loved so much, here she is in a new pose, it is a suggestive theme but its not too bad. I have attatched both the before and after shading for you all to gander at. Tell me what you guys think.

Cassidy is to cowboyish but cassy or cassie, that fits, I like it. There her name may just be cassy from now on. Thanks for the comment on the panties ^_^.

I know this is a "sketch only thread", but I have just finished a CG Fanart of Chloe from Chugworth academy. And I really wanted to show it off here, because I wanted you guys to see it first. I dont CG much and I play with the programs to get effects, I am pleased with this especially the eyes and body. (My friend the softening tool helped a lot). I think this is my 4th CG. Any tips, comment, critisism is welcome. :catgirl:

Oh.. right, anyways...

CG first. Good job, Rem, came out pretty good. Like the coloring of the hair though, it might just be me (God I say that a lot x_x) but I think the skin could use a little bit more of lighting/shine to it. Outside of that, looks good.

And good job with the new sketches of Cassy (starting to like this character ) Definitely looks a LOT better after the shading job and it looks like you improved a bit in drawing the guns. Good job, keep up the good work, and show us more of Cassy.

(If I think of anything else to add, I'll edit my post; can't think much right now)

 

Mahahahaha... Made this for my special person because she gave me a pretty picture too.
It's only a sketch so far, so I'll need to fix some thing like her legs.
It's a wolfgirl (not like you can notice) hugging her pet ferret, 'nuff said, will be finished in a while.

 

hey every one I love all the artwork, but i wont comment on it all, i will suffice to say that it all looks good as far as sketches go. anyway here is a sketch of Naruto that i drew a while ago I hope you all like it

 

Wolfgirl w/ Ferret (by Superfly): Aww, so adorable! Good job, once again I don't think I can really find a flaw in your picture. Looks really good. And that ferret is so gosh-darned cute! (I have a weakness for ferrets ). I'd like to see it whenever it becomes more than a sketch.

Naruto (by Insane Phantasy): Overall good pic, did a good job on the shading and such, as well as detail. Something gets me about the coat though. Well, not really the coat, but probably the sleeve and the color. Also the eyes look a little different from each other from my point of view, as if they don't really go together. Not entirely noticable. But overall, good job.
