Debate The ages old question: Ninjas vrs Pirates

Explain to me how a ninja gets on board a galleon. Pirates left their galleons a couple km offshore at times and landed in smaller craft, hiding these after coming ashore. So unless you know a ninja that can either sail an invisible ship to come aboard or can swim 2 km, forget about it.
Also, pirates had another advantage over ninjas and their training crap. They had morale. You see, pirates had to be in top form or they'd be booted from the crew. There was always someone better that was more than willing to take your place. So really, training or no, a good pirate crew would be fair competition for formal training.
As for the crack about ninjas coming from China, and this "big population", are you implying that every Chinese or Japanese person is an expert at infiltration and assassination? That's a mighty broad statement.
Anyway, I feel like I'm the only gentleman of fortune here. When did this become the people vs. Novus?

And I still have yet to hear that ninja song.

I'd rather take samurai, but seeing as that's not an option... I'd say shinobi. They could easily kick the living **** out of every kind of pirate ever. And they could swim 2 miles, or they could use boats. YES! Ninja did have boats(amazing technology really). And pirates did not only have morale, they also had scurvy, malnutrition, and hangovers. Muskets were also not so great as you might think. Bad range, terrible accuracy, less than wonderful damage(although the wound would probably get infected, or kill from lead poisoning later, it usualy wouldn't take a ninja out of a fight, I'd say), and they could only fire once before reloading. Ninja have all poison and thtowing stars and ****.
All that said though, robots could kill them all. ALL HAIL THE ROBOT OVERLORDS!

 

a shinobi could get rid of a whole boat-load of pirates, no matter how they got onto the ship. as was mentioned be for:

Well, if you asked me that question last week, I would've been like, HELL YEAH! NINJA! However... this week I have entered my "pirates are awesome" phase. So... my heart is ripped between my new found amazingness.... and what I've always admired. So... I won't say anything. Except:

-Robots Suck
-Long live old chinese ninja movies that are incredibly fake
-Let's drink a bunch and get ourselves stranded on an island! :B

 

Ninjas kick serious a$$. they live, hunt, and die in shadows. ninjas live by honor codes no other group would have even thought of. and most of all Ninja sword are fu**in aesome.

Well, there is a breed of Pirate known as the Space Pirate. And in space, a Ninja's cool sneaky-sneaky factor isn't as useful.

A pirates life is the Life for me.

There is a Certain romance about being a pirate that i choose to Go with the pirate lovers.

And i happen to love the old Galleons and Traveling by sea..

I'd rather be killed quickly by a ninja in black pyjamas or black spandex than be killed by a smelly pirate and have all my stuff tooken.

ninjas happened to be an illegal counterculture to the ruling class. the government generally tried to kill them

nope. they mostly did recon and espionage. killing was only done if neccesary

i can swim 2 km and i do ninjutsu. not to mention the fact that they used reeds to breathe underwater if needed.

same here. except ninjas died instead of getting booted.

 

since this is ninja vs pirate(and not ninja vs samurai) i would have to say ninja/shinobi b/c anything Japanese is going to rule all others(except for there political and biographical statistics) :anime:
