Video Games What was your first RPG???

is spyro an rpg? if its if then its my first one but if not then its suikoden II. i played lunar before that but i wasn't able to finish it. i just finished it after i finished thousand arms.

 

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.....if thats an Rpg...then i guess it was uh....Golden Sun or Maybe Links Awakening for the GBC

 

Hmmm i really dont considerd zelda being an rpg(it still is awsome) so my first would have to be mario rpg(this game rocks, if you dont have it i sugjest you buy it) but my favorite rpg of all time is definatly FF7(When i saw my cousin playing and sepheroth flying down and killing aries got me into it deep)

 

Zelda is in no way an RPG. Sure, it's a great franchise (or at least it used to be), but it's not really an RPG. Particularly the installments on N64, which play exactly like half the action games out there.
I'm surprised how many people out there started on the new-school games. I thought there were more old-schoolers in the audience.

 

First rpg i played was final fantasy 7 then it was chrono cross both masterpeices.

 

my first RPG was ff8 (ps1), but now im stuck on it,:glazed: i like ffX(ps2) better im really far and i dont get stuck

 

It was probably Super Mario RPG.

I'm not sure..but my first computer rpgs were Quest for Glory, King's Quest, Space Quest and Search for the King. (I'm not sure which one was first...i think it was king's quest...or quest for glory )

For the video game system, i think it was Out of this World...either that or Zelda: Link to a Past.

Final Fantasy 7 was my first rpg with 3D graphics

First PC RPG -- EverQuest ( Lord.. Forgive meeee. . . )
First GBA -- Sword of Mana
First N64 -- Zelda: Ocarina of Time
First GC -- Animal Crossing + All the stationary you can get!
First PS1 -- FFVIII
First PS2 -- FFX

Erm. .My first was i think. . . One of the early Final Fantasy games. . .maybe the third. Then came around pokemon. . .pretty sad huh? :sweat2:

 

For me, it has to be FF7. Hadn't heard of 'RPG' before (other than the book ones). And really, I didn't know what's happening when I started playing it... and the first pre-battle-swirly-screen got me into this whole RPG-mess ... I've got a few games that I haven't started.

 

Actually.. To be honest. My first ever RPG was Gaia. . . God, I still love that game for all that it is worth.. Weo.

 

My first RPG was FF8. That was a cool game and i still think it's one of the best in the series cause i always thought that the characters were so much more realist then those in the rest of the series.

 

Final Fantasy for GBA is what got me to like rpgs.Currently i playing Lunar and GoldenSun. I like Lunar the most becaues of the anime style and it's really cute.

 

My first RPG was Secret of Mana or Zelda for snes

 

95% of my games are RPGs, and i still fondly remember that Final Fantasy game for the early nintendo system... how ecstatically thrilled i was to experience my first leveling up as my little-bitty-squashy-looking-fighters changed character classes and transformed into a little-bigger-but-still-squashy-looking-warriors! ha ha :anime:


btw, has anyone played Vagrant Story? now, that's a game near and dear to my heart but won't see the light of a sequel <sighs sadly>

my first RPG was final fantasy anthology thought i didn't finish it. the first RPG that i was able to finishe was suikoden II.

 

Well I'm not sure what my first RPG was, but my first real game I played obsessively was Commander Keen for DOS.

King's Bounty(not sure if it qualifies as RPG) would be the next after that.

Towards the last year or so of the N64 we got one, and I fell in love with Zelda. I also have 3 of the Gameboy games.

Now we have GC and I am happy.
