Polls What's your favorite anime genre?

I think I like Comedy the best but romance comes so close. Martail arts is right up there to. But Im a person who really enjoys a good laugh ^^.

 

Martial Arts because i like watching people beat the sh*t out of each other.

i love comedy FLCL, azumanga daioh and love Hina are some of my favorites.

Sorcerer Hunters
those are really good animes i like these the best.

But i Also really like Kenshin and Tenchi those are really cool too,
although i never really go to see the entire thing of Kenshin, i seen the first 5 EPs of kenshin and it was really cool.

I personally like all sorts of Anime...if i catches my interest it doesn't really matter what "topic" it is...but i voted for Fantasy because i've always liked Fantasy stuff in everything...Books, Movies, Drawings, Writing, and all sorts of stuff...

Mecha yeah preferably "real" robots I love gundam,Eva, DiaGuard,Macross it all Rocks!!!

 

In the selection I chose mecha because I really like it.

But my favourite anime is Bubblegum Crisis which is Cyberpunk and I didnt really understand what Steampunk meant so picked mecha.

Its a tough question, because I dont have a favorite. I dont watch anime, because of its comedy or for fights/martial arts. If the story and characters appeal to me, then I watch it.

 

i guess my favs cross drama sci-fi and mecha, the patlabor movies (well not as much the last one...) , ghost in the shell jin-roh ect. i don't particualy like mecha though. i only like it if it's only used a little bit, and the mechanics of them is clear, ie, i despise eva, gundam, macross ect, but love the ones i listed at the top.
basically i like the stuff with great animation and a great "thinking" complex plot.

 

I like a lot of different kinds but i voted for mecha but i also really like fantasy.

 

i dont know i like trigun but what category would that be it has comedy scifi killing romance what would it be.

 

I was torn between drama, romance, and fantasy, but in the end I went for drama. I can't give any specific reason WHY, though.

But I somewhat agree with Toomaa and Seraphim. If it has a well-rounded plot and good characters (and it's available to me...) then I'll watch it, no matter what the genre.

 

I like a romantic comedy. just something built into me.
I like the idea of feeling in love for the first time and still getting a good laugh. but ill still go for just a romance sometimes- and some sci-fi like cowboy bebop.
