Both Men and Women have there ups and downs. And Eaxh can handle there own in in there own way. But this is one argument ive never liked to argue about.. Why because half the time ppl bring up stupid points that are fiction rather then Fact. Like zanza Brought up by accident. though she is right that we cant have children.. why because out bodies are not built to have children.. but if they were we could.. Why.. And men and women will never be equal, because on both sides, there are people on either sides that are superficial and diluted enough to believe that there is indeed a superior gender. Although, the true superior gender is the hermaphrodites.....lol
you mean 1994's Junior? lol is this the thread that is wanted to be locked? differences are what make the world so facinating. Each gender has their own role to play. Women are given a great gift to carry a child within their wombs and give birth, yet this is not possible without man. yet it is impossible for a man to have achild without a woman. Both men and women have their role. I find it quite sad that some women try to rid themselves of their motherliness, to become more man-like. I am also quite interested in knowing where the original anecdotes of this thread came from. Vash made a very good point about them. If seems they hide a deeper more sinister meaning which shows women in a bad light.
Do you just mean American president, Skuld? There have been many female heads of state around the world and there still are. Margaret Thatcher in the UK; Golda Mier (?) in Israel; Benazir (?) Bhutto in Pakistan; Indira Gandhi in India; err... the current Indonesian and New Zealand leaders. Sorry, current affairs isn't my forte. But I'm sure that's not all of them. With that said I agree absolutely that worldwide women are not equal to men. In potential, yes, but not in opportunity. There's still a lot of oppression and feminism is still relevant.

Women (with exceptions) are just about the most wonderful thing on the planet. I told buns why on chat. They're one of the things god (maybe) got right. Vash has apoint though, I hate those "all these things are better than my crappy man calenders" if guys did a thing like that, we'd be in deep sh!t....
I think sexism will eventually go away as the generations grow older. I believe the same thing with racism and other descriminatory(sp) things. It is high time that we all just forget our differences and live with each others differences. I'm glad that females are standing up for themselves. It isn't right for females to treat men the way that they have been treated for so long, it's like rewinding and deleting every thing they have faugt against.

It's even easier than that. Red could give Blue a quick punch as a gesture of friendliness and welcome and be really hurt when Blue turns it into an all-out brawl. Then you end up with Red and Blue wars over a simple misunderstanding.

I agree with Kame, a world without racism, sexism, etc. is a Utopia, a "No Land", it's impossible to exist without the exinction of the human race, and probably every living creature on the planet seeing as we see conflict every where. There will always be a difference of opinion or some sort of objection.
I might as well throw in my two cents and I may sound like a weirdo while at it. But as a guy I do kind of envy women... I mean to create life, to bear and lovingly grow a human child within you and bring it into the world is just beautiful. Of course there may be the pain that comes with it, but I almost burst into tears the one time that Megan told me that she would go through any pain because she loves me(I know we're not even married yet and we don't believe in sex before marriage). I also told her that I would go through that pain for her if I could and be like Mr. Mom... But to bring a human life into this world together with the one you love would probably be one of the best things you can do for humanity. As well I think for many centuries in our culture there has been such a huge psychological wall seperating man from woman. I'm really glad that that wall has broken down because no one should make anyone else feel unnaccepted in this world I believe. We are all equals and there should not be one thing to allow any one person to feel that they aren't.
I agree... When I was writing my SMJ fics, I realized how beautiful it is to be a mother. I mean, bearing a child, and feeling him/her kick inside you, and giving birth, and breastfeeding him, and saying... "He's my baby... _MY_ baby..." That is the joy of being a mother... being a father can't compare to it - sure, you put the seed, and watch the kid grow, but it's not the same... If I could have the oportunity of being reborn, i would certainly choose to be a woman - just for the joy of being a mother. Which reminds me, this "feminine liberation" thing... I see women having a professional life (when they don't actually need it) and they abandon their children to "be somebody". What a waste. I wouldn't give up my kids for a job... what do you think?
I totally disagree with that! I think women should be able to work...its not abandoning your kids, just trying to support your family, its better than just staying at home and doing laundry, cooking, etc. I would not want my husbant to work all day...and not have me help bring in money also....We are'nt slaves!...Having a job does'nt take up all the time, you can still spend time with your kids.
Good grief. This was a joke thread. Yet somehow I am not surprised that this place is so uptight that we immediately started throwing accusations around. Oh well. I'll go with the flow then Kame, I think racism will cease to exist someday for the simple reason that there really won't be distinct races after a while. Rare last names are disappearing, being overwhelmed by Chin, Jones, Smith etc. Also, The world is so much smaller now, there is a lot of mixing going on, and we are all becoming more homogeonised. Recessive traits are disappearing (won't nbe any blondes in another couple centuries. Not real ones anyway hehe). Given anough time, I think most people will look pretty much the same. Nationalism will remain though I'm sure. People will always find excuses to hate each other, I just think that eventually race won't be one of them. There will be something else however to take its place. I've heard passing a stone is the closest thing a man will come to giving birth, implying birth is worse.. having experienced neither, I can't say. One thing that really bugs me is the constant push on some peoples' part to say that the sexes are equal. Anything man can do, woman can do and vice-versa. Growing up in a military family, the sorest point for me is women in combat. I'm very sorry, but by and large women are not as strong as men, and do not belong in a combat situation. (of course, war itself in an ideal world would not exist at all, but it does) Women can become pregnant, basically rendering them useless in combat (for a time anyway). Sailors aboard ship have to conform to certain requirements such as being able to carry 150 pounds around, up and down stairs. For women, some of these requirements are waived, because they are simply not as strong. Those requirements are there for a reason though! That 150 pounds tests one's ability to perhaps carry a wounded shipmate to safety etc. I feel quite strongly about that, and anyone who disagrees with me, well disagrees with me hehe. I will not be changing my mind on that anytime soon though. ______________ here's to arguments.
Hey hey hey, you're misreading me!!! I never meant anything like that... what I meant was women who REALLY abandon their children, like leaving home after breakfast and going back when the kids are about to sleep. This isn't about LAUNDRY and HOUSE CHORES. I mean raising the children... giving them a hand with the homework, comfort them when they cry... you know, MOTHERLY things... I never meant that a woman should stay home to do the laundry - please... What I'm really saying is that there is this fashion that says that a woman should get a fulltime job to be "realized" in her life. I was raised in a traditional, latin american catholic family. And my mom was always there for us. But apparently in the US it's not like that... both parents leave to work, leaving the kids with a babysitter that only cares that they don't get hurt. But will a babysitter give them the love they really need? That's what I meant when I said abandoning the children.
