    Im sorry but I hate the anime (I watch it anyway). I like the dueling, but I think they spend to much time talking. And saying "Yugi your my best friend and I'll always be there for you" grrrrrr.... Anyway, I loved the manga. Yugi and Joey being pervs was actually kinda funny o_o. My favorite Shadow Game is the one with Shadi's Feather of Truth thing (I forget what it was called -_-;;;) I agree. Even though Yami Yugi is evil and crazy, there is just somethin you like about him...... Maybe it's his drop dead hottness... thats not a word....

    Jonouchi!

    The manga is kami-sent next to the anime. For one, I've never minded Lil' Yugi or the "other Yugi", but I am most definatly a Jou fan. The Manga does that lovely blonde many a favor. For one, he's a capable person. He can handle himself in fights (Unlike the way he was played off in the anime *Snarls*). To top it off, he's got a bloody awful home life that you would never know about without the manga.

    Joey Wheeler is a pain. Jonouchi Katsuya is a pretty cool, if perverted *Grins at all the offended young'uns out there on that topic*, violent, and a wee bit single minded :sweat2:

    Anyway, there's my two cents.

    Hahaa, that's right, manga!Jounouchi is much cooler than his anime counterpart. ^_^;

    And on that note, what about manga!Mokuba? He's creepy. x_x;; Really, really creepy.

    And on the note of creepy (wow, topic-jumping... whee!), the manga is rather dark compared to the anime. That newest chapter, the one about the Dragon Cards -- that was pretty dark stuff. ^^; Cool, but nonetheless freaky. ^^

    i think kaiba is kinda(and i hope i m not offending anyone. please don't yell at me :( ) creepy. in the manga he isn't as ummm good looking as he is in the anime. he uses tricks more which i like but the way he looks in the second volume kinda creeps me out.
    my 2 cents bout seto kaiba.

    That's because he was originally meant to be a one-shot villain tied in with the card game. Because fans liked the card dueling so much, Kaiba got a bigger role and became a main character - which meant his personality got rounded out considerably. (Same deal with Mokuba.)

    Again, that's because he wasn't initially intended as a long-term character (if you notice, the YGO side characters tend to be sort of ugly most of the time XD). He actually started out in the anime with green hair. o_O Of course, that was the first season which was never aired in the US. He should adopt his familiar look as the manga progresses, just like the other characters' designs change with time.

    EDIT: And was it just me, or did manga-Yami look like some kind of psychotic chipmunk originally? XD That only lasted for his first few appearances, but still. Kaiba isn't the only one who started out looking creepy.

    I am waiting for the next issue of SJ to quench my thirst for YGO Manga.

    Kaiba is creepier in the Manga then Anime. He still acts like a jerk towards some of Yu Gi's friends. I still like him though.

    Yami at first was like a jerk then he kind of grows on you. He is very protective of Yu Gi and their friends.

    I hate how Tea (man what is her Manga name?) like Yami and treats Yu Gi okay so she can see him. The last manga I read really reflected that. To bad inorder to have Yami she doesn't realise she is hurting Yu Gi.

    Yes, yes he did! XD I was almost scared of him at first. ^^;; But he got better. Kaiba is slowly getting better, but... yeah. I just don't like Kaiba much, period.

    Yeah, she is being sort of mean (and generally a bit... not-smart), but overall I like Anzu (Anzu's her name! ^_^). The carnival chapters let that on. She's... creepy when she wants to get Yami Yugi's attention. ^^;

    It's interesting how Yami progresses from a vengeful spirit into a protector and guide. At first, he behaves like the sentient incarnation of an Egyptian curse, almost - which was probably the intent. As the story progresses, most of the characters develop and become more human, but Yami and Kaiba are especially clear examples of that.

    Aw, how can you not like Kaiba? XD Have you noticed how often (in the anime, at least) he gets stuck in the damsel-in-distress role because of his own ambition and arrogance? He's fun. XD I can't wait to see if the manga includes his virtual reality world - what kind of person would cast his own younger brother as the princess in a virtual RPG? *cackle* Ah, cross-dressing Mokuba... I can't believe that got into the dub. X3

    Eh, I was never fond of Anzu. *shrug* I like Téa even less... she's just a bit too useless most of the time for my taste. ^^;

    Incidentally, doesn't her name mean "apricot"? Can't remember.

    Ah, yu-gi-oh. I remember just last year before I even knew what manga was (I watched some anime, but I was under the impression that "manga" was another word for "pornography" XD) that I was a huge fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, though I never much cared for the anime. I thought it was a bit immature and the characters just didn't seem at all realistic; in fact it almost seemed like another Pokemon to me (only created to make money off its merchandise). Eventually I got over my card game craze and gave up on Yu-gi-oh.

    But I was recently convinced to pick up a volume of the manga, and I was shocked at the differences. Yugi - a perv? He was always portrayed as such an innocent in the anime. Anyhow, I plan to buy more of the manga, since it seems like it could actually tell a decent story and overall, be less nauseating then the anime.

    Yeah, I was delighted at the idea of him borrowing Jou's pornography. XD Of course, we'll probably never know how accurate his portrayal in the anime was, since it seems unlikely that a subtitled version of the anime will ever be released.

    It was also very interesting to see what kind of person Yugi originally was - sort of dorky and withdrawn, verging on hideously pathetic. XD But he actually did seem like a fairly realistic teenage dork in the manga: a little perverse, but shy about it, not terribly good at school (wasn't he supposed to be an average student at best?), into weird non-social activities like puzzle games. He's a far cry from the ideal of teenage normalcy, which I think is one of his more interesting aspects. It's a shame that so much of the fandom focuses on Yami instead. :/

    Yeah, and Mokuba was such a nice kid in the anime. Ah well. I liked the Dragon Cards. Freaky, yes. And very very cool.

    That's what i keep on saying to people! XD Also, Takahashi's art style improved MAJORILY over the course of the manga. All the characters started looking better when his art began to improve.

    And kaiba had brown hair in the beginning of the manga too I believe, didn't he? Unsure of the first time he showed up, but when Death T came around there were some colour pictures and it showed him with brown hair.

    Isn't that great? XD I love it when that happens to him. XD Not exactly sure why, must be because that's what he deserves for acting the way he does at times. or maybe just because it's funny. :p

    Kaiba's a sexy beast... :D hehe

    I was posting in the SJ thread. The manga is different from the anime. I think it is nice like that. Yugi being a pervert. Mokuba is beyond mean. Seto is a psycho but in a fun way.

    Seto I think had brown hair and his stepbrother had green hair. I think that is where everyone gets confused. Won't know until the manga gets that far released in the U.S. I cannot read Japanese. And if SJ will actually put it in color. We shall have to see.
