Music Linkin Park ... !!

But the way that Exiztone stated it I think that he is getting to something, and maybe you can get him and other LP haters to like Linkin Park by answering him?

In my opinion the band is actually good, and I guess that that comes from my experiences... I got interested in the band through one of my best friends who moved away, and the music reminds me of that friend. I cannot say I agree that they are off key, they have a certain style of singing that I think is original, but not off key.
And you did talk about the music being against the system, but I do believe that that is where the most interesting songs come from. People have a right to express their opinions and through songs is one of the best ways, we've seen Political criticism in songs since even the days of Classical music, where a pound on the drums could signify the death of a leader.

What does Linking Park say to me and perhaps others?

I am assuming that many teenagers feel this way. For the longest time I've wondered what the heck my position in society was, and where I belonged at school, in my family, and what my future will become. I guess that the lyricist wanted to find this out for himself... This is just part of being a teenager, this is one of the toughest part of becoming an adult! That is probably why the song is so popular. And I don't blame you though for not being able to relate because you have probably grown out of this stage, though for some it takes until they leave University and have a family and a job and their life is set for the rest of their lives.

Try not to express your views through swearing and angst again, it is just rather annoying and people will attack back, and it may lead me to closing this thread and others that that occurs in.

I usually dont buy cd's anymore. I always just download the songs i like, but I had to get the Linken Park CD!! I loved it!! I cant stop singging their songs. I love them, and they are cute. I whant the new cd that is out.

im a LP obsessor...actually more of a Mike obsessor...>.>
anways, i like their music alot, really good ones like In the End, One step Closer, Hit the floor, etc. But in the newest album, Chester seemed to have gotten worse to me

Teenagers have always felt that way,and that's why LP doesn't impress me too much. They're like what, the first band that has ever put teenage angst into words? It seems to me like they are popular not because they make great music, but because they are good at tapping into overblown teenage emotions (Titanic anyone?)

I guess I don't like the whole 'you are depressed here is some depressing music for you to make you feel validated and make us money. Oh yes, we know exacty how you feel' *rolls in money*

I just don't identify with it.. for those that do though, it's all good

 

I think this band is great. I have been thinking about it a lot, and they have songs that discribe me at times.

I cant stop listening too this new song called Faint i mean I like it so much >.<

 

I like about 1/3 of their songs and that's just how it is, I thinkthe reason why i didn't liek the rest was cause it's too much rap in and that's not my style

right now I'm listening to "numb" which is my "fav-for-now" by them

Love their music, one of my favorite bands and my favorite music to drive to. favorite song is probably, Points of Athourity, Papercut, Dont Stay, My December, Pts.Of.Athrty, With>You, PPr:Kut, or Kyur4 Th Ich anyone of those songs. the last four are all off the reanimation albums.

Linkin Park's kewl, not one best bands out there, but they're getting there!
Best songs by them though are My December, Numb, One Step Closer, and Nobody's Listening...

 

they are good but they ain't the best band i am just say i think they are one of the few good bands out these days

 

I loved all the song's on Meteora. I could listen to that album all the time. All those song's are just so damn addictive.

 

that whole album was better then Hybrid Theory. The recording was a hundred times better. sound quality was different than Hybrid Theory. Technically it was better then Hybrid Theory. but in terms of musical quality, it was a thousand times better than Hybrid Theory...excellent driving music...

 

ok they are both great CDs they are both good in their own ways......

 

The only bad thing about Meteora was it was so bloody short. Only 36 min's long.
