Shippou freaked out when he heard the insects coming. "What are we going to do?!" he cried, running to hide behind Kagome's legs. "I'm too young to die!"



ooc: sorry, i haven't been able to get on due to finals and vacation. i'll try to be on more often :sweat2:

 

"Kagome quick grab the shard." She heard Inuyasha yell.

Kagome slowly walked over to the youkai and reached for the the shard. She plucked it from the carcus just as soon as it was trying to reform. Kagome froze and a sigh of relief escaped her lips when it stopped moving. She walked over to Inuyasha. 'I wonder how the youkai came across this shard... Naraku?' She thought as she put the shard with the rest. She looked around, just hearing the other swarm of insects. 'Not more!' Kagome complained to herself, 'Can't we ever get a break?'


OOC: *hugs B19 back* Sankyu. I'll be okay.. I'm just a little emotionally strung out.. but I should be good in a few days or so..

"Oh No! Inuyasha-sama! Becareful!" said Myoga, who started sucking Inyasha's blood as though by reflex.

Coming from the West, not too far from Kadea's village, came a shadowy figure. A fine lady dressed elegant kimono black with white plum flowers. She took our a mirror, and a hair pin and arranged her hair. Then she looked back at the mirror and smirked.
"*Laughs* Ah the village of that famous Miko! Tonight will be your last! May your villagers enjoy your time until then." said
She packed up her things and walked towards the village.
As she got closer to the outskirts of the village, she could not stop giggling and smiling.

 

"NARAKU, YOU WILL NOT HAVE THAT SHARD," Inuyasha called out again. He quickly picked up Kagome and put her by Miroku and Kaede. "Put up a barrier," he told them. Inuyasha moved out of the bounders of the barrier. He got into fighting stance holding Tesusaiga. He glanced at Sango giving her a nod.

Inuyasha felt a little prick. He hit Myoga. "Why are you here? Isn't this to dangerous for you?"

Kanta called once more to Kahaya. "Do you normally talk to yourself?"

 

"I just wanted to see how you were doing Master Inu-yasha! If I knew you were involved in a Youkai fight, I wouldn't have come!" said myoga who has been flattened by the hit.

 

(sorry: just starting.)


Out in the trees, a female wolf demon hears a fight going on and something about a shard. So, she decieds to check it out. She heads in the direction she heard a voice. She comes to the edge of the forest, and sees a half demon ready to fight. Suddenly she notices four humans, and she gets excited and thinks 'Maybe they'll be my friend.' So she starts to walk around the fight and comes up on the barrier, so she sits down in front of the barrier, she looks around and finds a stick. She picks up the stick and starts to poke the barrier hoping one of the humans sees her and comes over to talk. She notices that the young girl behind the barrier suddenly notices her. So she smiles friendily and keeps poking the barrier.

A blurr of crimson and scarlet projected through the forest in intensive speed. Elvading branches, trees, vines, roots or anyother macellanous object that stood within the wolf demon, Ayame's way. Bare feet dragging her from one destination to another insearch of her betroth Kouga, Ayame stinted as the sudden scent of Kouga rampaged her nostrils. Head tilted toward the wind, a few sniffs were taken before her bare feet scamper her away again. Billows of dust were trailing behind her as she continues to move.

Crimson filaments made toward two set of pig tails flaunt behind Ayame, as she continues to scamper along.A violet flower with beige seeds was inplanted upon the left pig tail,while a few strands of locks were made into bands with a thin headband underneath them.Ayame wore a tank top of ebony with the bodice vermilion hued, the bodice was mid-length which revived the slight sight of the swell of her breast and the necklace she wore around her neck. The necklace only withheld three emerald hued leaves? II oO No clue what those are. II Lushes white fur was then drapped around her shoulders. The same material cincture itself around her hips with the hem slightly severed, ending the circut with a knot around her right hip while her tail coop itself around her waist.A katana with a raven hued scabbard and currant hilt was drapped upon her hip. The white fur was made into wrist bands as well as the knee high boots with the ends toward the heel of her feet thus leaving the feet bare.

Ayame finally stopped, the billow of dust that followed her would engage around Ayame's body causing her to release a slight cough. "Ack!" >< The aura of another figure or any creature was not of presence. Wondering where everyone could be at the moment for Kouga's scent is not imminent as she had though. A small sigh escape her lips, as she dragged her body along the small path in a slow pace with her head half bent. "Where is everyone?" With no destination in mind, Ayame continues to wander aimlessly toward the emerald forest.

Myoga felt insecure being on inu-yasha's shoulders, so he cowardly tried to escape. He couldn't. Everyone were protected by a barrier and it was impossible for Myoga to enter. Myoga trembled in fear as the swarm of insects got closer.

"Master Inu-yasha! Help meeeee!" Myoga decided to climb up Inuyasha's head and jump into his dog ears.

 

Kikyo slowly arose from the ground where she lied, holding the wound at her side. She had been too ignorant of her growing need for souls. She was weak, and even so, entered combat with a bear youkai in possession of the Shikon Jewel. She wouldn't allow the likes of some low class demon to posses the jewel. Not while she was standing.
But alas, she was not strong enough to even use her sacred arrows correctly. She assumed it was miles away by now.
She stood up, pain aching in her side, as she walk, and moved over to a near by tree, hoping to leave such an open space, where she could easily be seen by anyone. She sat behind the tree, which was about twice her size in width, and waited for her soul snatchers to arrive, so she could be one her way.
She watched the environment in front of her, cursing her own stupidity.

 

Inuyasha grunted. He felt something tug on his ear. It was the Myoga the flea. He was still wondering why the flea was still hanging around. He heard Kaede chanting. He knew Kagome was safe. He smelt something strange and earthy. It couldn't be? Inuyasha shocked his head trying to get rid of the small thought of Kikyo in which he posed. She was no near by and for all he knew she was dead. Well in the sense of no longer moving around dead. He had to concentrate. The bees were coming closer. Once they realized they couldn't have to shard thanks to Miroku and Kaede's barrier. The bees buzzed into position a few feet away from our young heroes.

OOC: Neko no one is really playing Kouga. He is being RPed by everyone until someone RPs him.

 

Miroku grinned amiably up at Sango, grimacing slightly as his recently inflicted wounds began to throb beneath his skin but covered it up momentarily with an easygoing facade, allowing Sango to lead him blindly back toward the village. He certainly couldn't say he wasn't enjoying her touch, and the urge to cement their relationship was growing stronger with every passing second. He sighed inwardly, knowing that any such commitments would have to linger uncertainly until after Naraku's impending doom, until after the shards of the Shikon Jewel were safely resting in Kagome's care, until after Sango had either resolved or severed all connections to Kohaku. He hated being left in the dark for so long, but he knew there wasn't much to be done about the situation. Neither Sango nor he were ready for such a commitment, and all either of them could do was wait.

But, for a single moment, he found no reason that he couldn't pretend otherwise.

 

It was clear that Miroku and Sango walked back to the village. Inuyasha swung his mighty Kaze no kizo and destoryed the bees. He shrugged and started to walk back. Leaving Kagome and Kaede behind. He has obivousily hasn't learned his lesson.

Kouga sniffed the air he could smell Kagome's sweet sense once again. He decided to go find her and give her a flower. He hoped the stupid mutt wasn't by her. But another sniff said he was.

 

apearing out of the woods ontop of an overlooking hill Kikyku watched as Inuyasha and the others walked away. Then he says "It apears I am too late to help, oh well." then he notises the soul gathering insects flying over the woods near-by and comments " I wonder what those are." after saying that he adjusts his quiver and bow and prepairs to go find out.

 

Athena Otuska strode through the woods she had been tracking and slaying demons all day. She was just about to take a break when she heard the sound of a battle not to far off. Thinking that there may be demons behind it she trudged onward and stopped as she gazed down from a cliff and spotted the half demon Inu-Yasha... her eyes narrowed to small slits and she contemplated on helping them and then killing him or letting these others do the job for her.

 

Akako stoped somewhere in the middle of the village, took out her flute and started playing a beautiful note. An audience of Kids and Adults formed around her.

"Such a wonderful melody" said an old man
"It's so sooothing" replied an old lady
"Who's the pretty lady mama?" Asked a child

Akako continued playing her flute.

 

Kikyo glanced up to the sky, seeing her soul snatching demons arriving. Not paying any attention to them, she examined her surroundings. They didn't need her consent anyway.
The area was a clean little opening in the woods. Where she lied before, that spot was where the trees parted. It didn't make a very good circle, and was just big enough to fit two large people inside. About four times her own size, anyway.
She began to wonder how she even made it to a place like that.
She knew how, of course. She was strolling along in the woods. She had harsh few days at villages, and wished to just be on her own with out wounded soldiers to heal or self-absorbed priests taking it upon them selves to 'exercise' her. Just a few yards away was where she had seen the bear Youkia. And that was pretty much that.
She entered battle with the thing, and, to reasons known to Kikyo, she lost. Normally, she would not have fought it in her state, but the shard convinced her other wise.
As already stated, she wouldn't let such a weak demon possess anything of such value.
Not because she was afraid of it becoming stronger, and not just because it wasn't worthy. She tried to stop it merely because she did not desire to hear of that foul demon Naraku or the traitorous InuYasha to take it away from it.

The thought of either men disgusted her.
InuYasha....
Suddenly, with out her being able to stop it, thoughts of what was a doomed romance and what might have become of the two if the out come might have been different.
"Hideous Demon..." She mumbled to herself.

 

kikyku walks threw the woods intill he finds a clearing, he desides to investigate it because the number of odd demon insects carring souls had at least trippled. As he inspected the clearing withought walking into it, he notices a women, that looks surprisingly like his mother, reasting woonded near a tree surounded by these demons, but she doesn't seem frightend by them. So he decides to see if he could help and steps forward from the edge of the clearing oposite of this women, and asked " Are you in need of any asistence?" and then he waits for a reply.

 

Inuyasha continued on his path. He was heavily in thought. He knew that the bear smelt of Kikyo. Should he go to her and see if she was alright? Kagome of course would be mad. Kikyo might not want to see him. She is dead. Why should he worry about her anyway. Inuyasha came to a conclusion. He will stay with the others and not tell them about Kikyo.

Kaede released the barrier. "Come on child lets go back." She walked with Kagome and Shippou back to the village.

 

Kikyo’s thoughts were interrupted when she heard a noise from a few feet away. After releasing a sigh, she looked up from her resting spot on the ground. The voice of a young man sounded in the otherwise silent forest.
"Are you in need of any assistance?"
His voice, though quiet, seemed to echo around her, disturbing the wonderful silence she had been enjoying.
With her normal expression, Kikyo glared at the boy. She examined him throughoutly. She wrinkled her nose when she noticed his attire and weapon.
“Your kind is very rare. Who are you, boy?” She asked, not bothering to answer his question.
With his appearance, Kikyo’s senses had sharpened, and she took it upon her self to alter to a position where her bow and arrow were in better reach. She was rather surprised he wasn’t already attempting to shoot her or her demons. Many would have, or they would have fled and sent their finest demon exterminator to be rid of her instead.

 

Kagura sniffed disdainfully as she allowed the pleasant aura to surround her, enveloping her life a soft, satin blanket. 'This can't be the right woman, the woman I'm searching for is supossed to be dead,' she cursed her own stupidity when the realization of her glaring error hit her. 'Of course, how could I be so naive? This is that other girl, that foul reincarnation that stopped me from murdering that insolent little half-breed,' she smirked nonchalantly. 'Rather sad that he had to be saved by a little girl, no?' she peered down at the travelling group curiously, supressing a giggle as she watched the antics of the jubilant monk and the equally exasperated exterminator. Her gaze shifted to Inuyasha for a moment, the pitiful excuse for a monster that he was, and she wrinkled her nose in curiosity as she noticed his amber eyes shifting stealthily to the left, toward the damp brush marking the entrance of the forests. Her inquisitive gaze shifted once more to the strange young woman who seemed to appear and disappear as if by the most powerful of magics, and her eyes narrowed in an unreadable expression as she watched her stoop down to pluck a solitary flower from the musty soil before giving it a radiant smile and blowing the lofty petals through the breeze.

'How disgraceful,' Kagura muttered inwardly. 'How can a such an obviously naive little brat harness so much power?' she snorted as she tightened her smooth grip on the feathery surface beneath her.

'And yet,' she began slowly, as if afraid to allow her sentiments to pass through the recesses of her jumbled mind, 'Her innocence and naivette is something that I,' she shook her head in repulsion. 'No, I musn't think such disgraceful thoughts. I'm here on a mission, not to dally and watch little girls and their irritating companions'.

And with the impact of her statement lingering steadily in the breeze, all traces of her presence had vanished completely.
