Steven pondered, "When I do my painting, I do prefer oils, because of all the various effects I can get the paint itself to take on with whatever sort of bruch I use. And yes you must come see some of my work. I hate to brag, but if you like a little more gothic paintings or photography, mine is almost top of the line. Heres a book with a few paintings Ive done. Actually one of those pieces took me a year to complete because i did the entire piece out of shards of stained glass."

Steven handed the book to Gaia, it was an actual published book that was available at bookstores. The first painting inside was a painting of a large cathedral with exquisite stain glass windows and the scene was that you were looking at it from a two-point perspective (OOC: For those of you who dont know... im sorry but i dont know how to explain a 2-point perspective)[BIC:] at sunset. The light was hitting the stain glassed windows and their reflations shown onto a ground concrete. On opposite sides of the doors to the cathedral there were two golden angels, but they were both weaping. The title of the work was Paradise of the Damned.

Another piece, the piece made of comeplete stained glass shards, was a depiction of a beautiful rainforest, stained comepltly with blood. in the middle was a small fountain made of concrete except for a horse rearing on its heign legs at the top. Its eyes ere red. In front of the fountain there lay stuck in the ground a sword whos blade was drenched in red. Its titles was The Sword: Man's paintbrush of red.

As Gaia flipped through the book he said, "The book is called The Art of Darkness: a collections of the works of Steven Arbalast. You can buy it almost at any bookstore. Also for each work there is a brief summary of what the piece is made of and whatmaterials were used."

 

Bullet looked and felt a bit weird. He turned the page to the sketch of Athena, and was looking at the group she was with and some of them were in the picture to. So he felt very uneasy about meeting them, but he pushed himself to put his stuff back into his bag and went up the bleachers. He went and took a seat next to Athena and introduced himself to everyone there… hoping he didn’t interrupt the conversation. “Ahoy.” He said is softly and a polite smile as he look to the people. Then he looked down to the painting and was amazed at the painting The Sword: Man's paintbrush of red. He looked at it and smiled a bit more.

“ I have some sketches and some paintings, tough they are not that good, they are kid of decent.” Bullet took out a different sketchbook and opened it to beautiful scenery of a forest and stream. It was half in black and white the other half painted. The forest was untainted and had fireflies that looked like fairies. It a little poem on the bottom that read

Though colors are wonderful when the day light shines, what would happen if the world lost its color, does it mean the beauty is gone forever, and that darkness rule it all. The shine of light and the glow of beauty is all this world had left, so don’t take it away from the creatures that actually lives there with out destroying it. ​

He looks and says. "Sorry how rude of me. My name is Bullet. If you want to see more of my drawings I’d be happy to show you.”

 

"If its not too much to ask for Steven, I would love it if you could design a tattoo for me. I do art as well but I can't paint. I do metal work, like these earings." Manda pushed back to reveal a pair of earings that were intracitally enameled, woven, and welded. "And I also do photography and some modern art. Anyways after school we can take my mum's car and go down to this great Indian restaurant I work for."
Manda rummaged in her bag for a while.
"Here's the card to the place"
She passed the cards out to Steven, Gaia, and Athena
"Anyways your houses seem so lovely, Unfortunately my house is so non-house like, and I have my crazy family to deal with, It;s kind of weir actually though, I'm Indian and the rest of my family is Finnish, and a bunch of crazy heretics. But I love them anyways, and I really would love it if you could come over some time."

 

Looking over Steven's book, Gaia's eyes grew wide, "These are gorgeous. I'm surprised I haven't heard of your work before. The emotion that it conveys is staggering. You have most of these in your home?" Gaia looked back down at the book of Steven's art, and leafed through a few more pages.

Gaia took Manda's card, and replied, "I've never really had Indian food, so I'll have come try it. So by modern art do you mean abstract expressionism, cubism, or something else? Your family sound like fun. It's just me and my parents at my house."

She looked up to see that Athena's friend had joined them, and he showed them one of his sketches then introduced himself.

"Oh, hello, Bullet! I'm Gaia Alden, and must say I am slightly intimidated being surrounded by such formidable artists, " she laughed, glancing around at everyone.

 

"Nice to meet you Chaney. Hmm? Oh yes it was PE. I'd be glad to walk with you." he said as he walked with Chaney to gym.

'yes, if this goes well, I'll get another number for my little black book! i should be able to fill up THREE this year!' her thought.

"Oh! You've gym with me first period right Nat? Come on, let's go before we're late!" Megyn exclaimed as she and Natalie headed towards the gym.

'Its mostly expriments with colour, and any weird things that I happen to find and throw together. But I love crafty things as well, like sewing and embroidery. Gaia, I think you would look gorgeus in a sari by the way, They are easy to make and look so gorgeous with gold jewlery."

Manda noticed that someone had joined them. "Hallo, names Manda. Nice to meet you."

 

Steven looked at Bullet, "Nice to meet you. I'm Steven." Then he took a look at the picture Bullet had made,"I love the way the colors blend. Very well done my friend."

Steven took in Manda's question, "Im sure I could design a tattoo for you. Most of my designs tend to be celtic or gothic though. So thats mostly what I make. But I could design one or two. And I have yet to have Indian food so I will be sure to see you there."

Then Steven addressed Gaia, "Yes, I have most of these works in my home. And actually, this one," Steven flipped to the piece made of completly glass shards,"I have gotten offers from museams around the world in an upwards of 15 million dollars, but Im not ready to sell my work yet. And then my current piece of work is actually a sulture."

Steven handed Gaia a regular print out picture from an ordinary camera. It was a large stone sitting in the middle of an exquistly decorated garden. The sculpture was and angel with wide spread wings, but they were worn out and ragged wings almost torn into pieces. The angel had his head pointed forward and a bit down, with a look of emence pain and anguish but if one looked hard enough, they could pick up on a hint of joy within the angels gaze. Then from down there the angel was holding a sword with indintions on it to resemble blood. Also, his face was covered with the blood indentions too.

Next to the not yet completed statue there lay a chainsaw, an ice pick and a leaf blower.

"By the way, the chainsaw, ice pick and leaf blower arent part of the sculpture, they are the three tools I am using to make this piece. I cant think of name for this sculpture yet though. I guess I'll just work on it for a while and see what I come up with. But an idea I have to finish the bottom part is have a flowing robe with scratches and tears on it. What do you think? Also, if any of you come over I will be more than happy to show you any of the work thats in this book, so you can see the original, and a few more that I have completed since that book was published."

 

"Hmm...I always found saris lovely, but never thought to try one on. I'd like to though, if you'd be willing to help me sometime," Gaia reliped.

Gaia took the photo from Steven, and looked it over. She gently traced the angel's wings with a finger. "It's going to be stunning. Though I must say interesting choice in tools. You know, if you want, I could...um...make some rose vines crawl up from the bottom when it's all finished, to give it an aged effect like it's been in that garden for years. I could even get some black roses. Is it supposed to be a particular angel? Yes, I'd enjoy seeing more of your art very much, just tell me when it's conveinient for you, and I'll come by sometime."

 

Natalie walked with Megyn to the gym. Going inside they wre automatically called to by a group of friends. "MEGYN and NATALIE over here."

"Feel free to come over anytime, We are about the same height, and I just need to make some adjustments, I have several older ones I havent worn in ages, but they are still in good shape. Anyways I think we better head over to the changing rooms, It looks like were going to have to run, blechh."

 

Bullet smiled at the complement of his picture because he doesn’t like showing any of his works because he doesn’t like showing off his works. He starts to look Steven’s picture of the sculpture and wondered if he should show them the skull army sculpture some day. ~I don’t know if I should show them the books full of drawing…they are probably not interested anyway~.

He was finding himself looked at Athena every once in a while and felt like he could read her and listen into her feelings. Bullet tries not making it obvious and takes out his sketchbook and starts drawing her emotions intertwining with love and hate. And quickly thought of her answer to the black page and felt that she may have a bit of a twine with darkness that she will not show. She started to shiver and took out the little black book slowly so that no one can see that he had it. He placed it on the inside of the sketch book and started to read from it to see if there is a spell of protection or memory to figure out how he knows who she is.

He stopped looking at the black book when he turned to the dark spells of spirit. He pocketed it and continued to look upon Steven’s pictures.

 

Steven blehed, "Did they already anounce we have to change?"

Then Steven went ahead and gethered all his things from everyone that he was going to keep, just in case they did have to change.

Steven pondered Gaia's suggestion, "Well yes, I did have a strage choice of tools I must say... the Chainsaw is what I can use to make a rough form... the ice pick, which is the tasking part fit only for someone who has hours upon hours of good music so they dont go insane, is for everything else, such as i carved every single crack or tear present in this scultupe by hand with the pick. And the leaf blower just helps get ride of pieces of stone that have fallen.

"And no, it isnt really a particular angel, but I have thought it would be a good representation of Satan right when he fell from heaven, bloodied, torn, shattered, alone.

"Also, I would love to have some vines come up from the ground, and by from the ground, I really mean they look like they shattered the cement of the garden and came through the ground, because that gives it such a dramatic look I think. And personally, I would just like vines. Im not a huge one to put roses on sculpture, I like the plain look and feel of plain old vines. But that would make the piece very astounding I must say.

"Yes, now that you mention specific angels, I think this piece would be great to center around the demise and downfall of the angel Satan, where he was once and angel, but it torn, he is filled with hatred and anguish from and for heaven, but also, emense joy that he himself can finally rule over something. Very smart thinking."

Steven addressed the group, "You know if they make us run, I'm going to be very upset, because I really didn't come prepared to take of all of my clothes so quickoly today. And then put new clothes back on. And I really hope the teachers wont be retarded and make me cover this up," he pointed to his face, "And since we will be in shorter clothes... this too," Steven pulled up his right sleeve to relveal a very extensive tattoo running all the way from the back of his palm, all the way to his shoulder.

 

"Don't worry i bet it won't be that bad."
The group headed over to the changing rooms, full of rows of lockers and a room for girls showers, and one for guys.
"Wow, this isn't half bad, I would have thought it would smell horribly rotten, but I bet it will in a couple days."
Manda ran her hand into the bag again to pull out a track uniform.
"Well, I wouldn't have expected to find this in here. So i guess you wont have a smelly gym uniform then."

 

Gaia thought for a moment on Steven's idea, "Ok, I could do that pretty easily, but the vines will have to be awfully thick at the bottoms where they exit the concrete. I hope you don't mind, but it'd take me more than one day to complete it all."

"Ugh, we have to change," Gaia groaned, and followed the others to the locker room. She plopped down on one of the benches, and started getting out her gym clothes and shoes.

 

Manda walked over to the changing rooms slipping on her track uniform from her last competition, at the city marathon. She slipped on the tight body-suit and quickly put her tennis shoes back on. She stepped out of the changing room, shoeing off her huge leg muscles. "Yeesh, I feel like a total idiot in this."

 

Chaney walked to gym with Seth and pushed open the doors. Immediately after opening the doors 2 of her sk8er friends came sk8ing up from the corner of the room.

"Hey Chaney whats up. Good to see that we have at least one class together! Wanna come sit with us til class starts?" The one said with a smirk on his face. The other stared at Seth. "Who's this fag you're with? Why are you with him anyways?" He asked.

Chaney glared at her 2 friends. "Don't call Seth a fag, he's actually very nice! You shouldn't be sk8boarding in here... not like I follow the rules. I'm glad I'm in your class too. Since I came in with Seth and not you 2 boys, I will sit and chat with him til class starts... IF that's ok with him?!" She stated in an angry tone. Then she turned to Seth for an answer.

 

Isis had already memorized all her classes so when the bell rang she went straight to the gym. When she got there she made her way around a group that was standing infront of her and sat down in a corner of the room. She pulled out a journal but instead of writing entries she began to write more of her story while waiting for class to begin.

 

Athena waited for the others out in the gym since she had already changed. She sighed and wondered, "how long can i keep this up."

 

Manda strolled out of the gym walking behind Athena.
"there a problem?"

 

Athena smiled at Manda and said, "No nothing's wrong I was just lost in thought for a moment, now i'm glad that i had changed clothes."

"I'm glad she came out." Athena thought.
